Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel offers a stylish city stay with all the special touches. At Cape Cadogan, you have the best of both worlds: a quiet, beautifully elegant hideaway with the vibrant neighbourhood of Kloof Street on your doorstep. This historic building (with National Monument status) dating back to the early 1800s, has undergone an extensive refurbishment in 2022. She is elegantly styled in beautiful emerald greens, classic black and white, and touches of gold. This sophisticated style brings her firmly into the 21st century, without losing any of her charm. Each of her 19 rooms are individually designed around her historic uniqueness. Relaxed guest areas with two pools for the warmer days. Our focus on wellness includes calming therapies at our onsite spa, and our hotel gym means it is easy to keep up a training routine. We even have our own restaurant, Upper Union. Cape Cadogan Residence is a stylish exclusive use living space that adjoins the hotel. This exclusive use home has three en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, and an outdoor deck with a pool. Daily gourmet breakfast is served in the Residence. Should you want to enjoy an evening in, a chef can be arranged on request and at additional cost. A dedicated Residence butler will take care of the daily details and ensure an exceptional stay. Guests have access to the spa and gym at the Hotel.

Everything about this hotel was 5 star. From the minute you are greeted at the front door you feel as though your hotel stay is going to be special. And they NEVER disappoint ! My wife and I stayed 5 nights in room 14 which was large, beautifully kept and cared for, filled with morning light and a view of the mountains. It was an absolutely marvelous way to start each day. Breakfast in the garden was relaxing and very tasty. The service by the breakfast dining team was attentive and always presented with a smile and a caring attitude. The hotel provides complementary car service so you always feel safe regardless of how well you know the city. The location makes it very convenient to all of the city adventures as well as trips to the countryside and wine country. The front of house team were extremely helpful in obtaining reservations for restaurants and winery visits. We look forward to heading back next year to continue to explore this beautiful city and country.

We spent 3 nights in Cape Cadogan and we can warmly recommend this hotel.
Cape Cadogan is a small boutique hotel, very well located near city center. It is easy to park near the hotel and you can ask for "private" parking as well.
The building is beautiful. As soon as you come in, the staff is really friendly and you can feel immediately warmly welcome. Yanick was in charge of our check in and he was really helpful, with lots of explanations about the city and things to discover in the Cape town area.
Our room was beautiful, just located on the courtyard and the small swimming pool.
The atmosphere was really cosy. Large king size bed, closet and fridge, Nespresso, complimentary safety box, and complimentary drinking water every day...
The bathroom was really large too with large shower. Due to water restriction in South Africa, towels are renewed only if you stay more than 2 nights…
The room is prepared by housekeeping every evening when you are out for dinner.
Everything was perfectly clean.
You can have a drink from the honesty bar in the linving room. Every evening, some appetizers are available in the living room too.
Breakfast was fantastic ! The breakfast buffet is beautiful, with lots of fresh products. The staff come at your table for the eggs and you can order whatever you want. Cape Cadogan Breakfast and Eggs benedict were really good !
While staying at Cape Cadogan, you are close to all the points of interest of the city : we could walk to the city center easily. You are also close to many good restaurants and bars. You can also ask to the staff for any advice or reservation, they will certainly do it for you.
We will definitely recommend Cape Cadogan Hotel. We hope to stay there next time we will visit Cape Town ! Thanks to the entire Cape Cadogan Team

Cape Cadogan was our first stop on our 2-week honeymoon to South Africa in January 2022. We opted for a smaller boutique hotel outside of the VA Waterfront for a quieter and more authentic experience, but still in walking distance from many bars and restaurants (better and less-touristy restaurants as well). The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the room very spacious with a private patio. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks and snacks in the courtyard/pool area every day after exploring the city, unfortunately however did not have breakfast (although included). The staff was always available whenever we needed anything and they went above and beyond to make our stay special – including leaving a bottle of champagne and warm congratulations for us to enjoy on our last night. Would definitely return on my next trip to Cape Town!

Thank you so much Carly. We loved having you stay at More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel, sister property to Cape Cadogan which is currently undergoing a refurbishment. You will have to come back to stay, as you will love the special touches going into this property. Kloof Street is a real slice of local life and we are glad you enjoyed our special neighbourhood. Hoping you enjoyed the rest of your honeymoon. We look forward to seeing you again. Kind regards, Alan Rose, General Manager, More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel/Cape Cadogan

From the moment our taxi arrived at the hotel we were well looked after. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Very well located with plenty of restaurants on nearby Kloof Street and only a short taxi ride away from the waterfront, beaches and other amenities.

The breakfasts were amazing with a huge choice of cold items from fruit and yoghurt through to pastries and meats. Good coffee and selection of teas. A small cooked menu but perfect to set one up for the day.

During the day there’s always a juice/cordial available with cake. In the evening a small honesty bar operates in the lounge with bar snacks set out.

The rooms are well appointed: ours had a small balcony at the front of the hotel, a really good size room in which to relax. Lovely bathroom with good sized shower.

We’d very much recommend a stay here!

Cape Cadogan is a beautifully presented hotel that’s perfect for both relaxing at, and using as a base to explore Cape Town via cheap & frequent Ubers. It is a short walk from many great bars, restaurants & other amenities on Kloof Street, and offers a lovely continental breakfast with optional cooked choices, but the real differentiator here is the staff. Every person we encountered throughout our stay were so friendly and attentive, and they all made us feel right at home, which we were so thankful for. We had personalised notes left in our room on a daily basis (welcoming us, congratulating us on our recent wedding, and upcoming weather forecasts), and those little details really added to the overall experience of staying it an already amazing hotel.

This hotel was beautiful. Everything from the lobby, to our room to the attached restaurant. The staff was amazing, I got sick during my stay and they took great care of me going above and beyond. The attached restaurant was great, we had breakfast there every morning and had dinner there as well. The location is perfect to be walking distance to restaurants and bars along kloof st and long st, as well as a short drive from table mountain and the botanical gardens. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town!!!

A hidden tranquil gem, 50m off the lively Kloof Street.

The accommodation is absolutely beautiful having had a very recent contemporary yet sympathetic refurbishment to a historic series of converted town villas dating to the mid 19th Century.

The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating and the ‘welcome home’ nibbles in the reception seating area were delightful.

We stayed in Room 3 overlooking upper union road. It was generously sized with a similarly apportioned shower room, had a lovely balcony linking the two , with double bay windows from. Oth rooms and with side windows overlooking the tastefully accommodated plunge pool.

Anyone not wanting to stay in one of the large international chain hotels and is looking for real quality should consider coming here.

Thanks to everyone for making our five day stay so memorable

We stayed in a comfortable and contemporary designed spacious room with a lovely balcony showing some Cape Town downtown architecture and the majestic table mountain. We were lucky to see the table cloth partly covering the mountain on one of the days .
The hotel has great decor and design.

Cape Cadogan is a newly designed hotel in our favorite part of Cape Town, which manages to combine warm hospitality with elegant style. Each room is beautifully turned out with modern conveniences and the common rooms reflect the same classic design. The cuisine at the adjacent restaurant, Upper Union, is equally creative as well as delicious. And that wonderful spa with fantastic masseuses…my husband and I were blown away! Thanks to General Manager, Sean, for keeping such a special place operating with style and care.

I believe they started at 7:00 AM but they are so accommodating I am sure something could be worked out if this is not acceptable. This is a wonderful place to stay and very close to great restaurants. It is a little way from the wharf but they will give you a ride there if you want.

Hi! We stayed at Cape Cadogan in March. We DID hear music, but our room was on the second floor in the back corner of the building (Room 8) which has a balcony that opens up toward Kloof Street. It was surprisingly during the week and not on the weekend, and also the type of music I enjoy, so I wasn't really concerned! It also stopped at a relatively reasonable hour. The rooms in the carriage house (11, 12, 14) may be your best bet for assured quiet, but I didn't find the noise to be detrimental to our stay. ENJOY!

Hello. There is no gym on-site. The hotel can arrange a pass for a local gym with a good selection of workout options. There are also a few good jogging routes around the hotel and the guest relations team can advise on these.
