The hotel is warm and welcoming, the staff was fantastic, and the breakfast was top notch! We loved the location and felt safe and secure walking on Kloof Street - even early in the evening. The room was very comfortable and the hot water bottles put in bed to stay cozy was just lovely. The bathroom was large and the shampoo and conditioner were high quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Cape Town and would stay again for sure. Thank you, Cape Cadogan Team!

The Team at Cape Cadogan have truly nailed hospitality. Venessa and the team all go above and beyond to ensure you have a stay to remember. The attention to detail in the hotel from the plants in every room, the hand painted walls in every room, the products left for guests to use, to the exceptional breakfast you experience at the next door Upper Union really makes your stay nothing but exceptional. This boutique hotel is able to create a home away from home, considering nothing but comfort to ensure a memorable stay. The location of the hotel is ideal as you are walking distance from some of the best cafes and restaurants in Capetown. The neighbourhood is safe and the hotel has the lovely Joel who is able to assist with parking. This is a place I will definitely be returning to and couldn’t recommend a stay here more highly!

Everything about this hotel was 5 star. From the minute you are greeted at the front door you feel as though your hotel stay is going to be special. And they NEVER disappoint ! My wife and I stayed 5 nights in room 14 which was large, beautifully kept and cared for, filled with morning light and a view of the mountains. It was an absolutely marvelous way to start each day. Breakfast in the garden was relaxing and very tasty. The service by the breakfast dining team was attentive and always presented with a smile and a caring attitude. The hotel provides complementary car service so you always feel safe regardless of how well you know the city. The location makes it very convenient to all of the city adventures as well as trips to the countryside and wine country. The front of house team were extremely helpful in obtaining reservations for restaurants and winery visits. We look forward to heading back next year to continue to explore this beautiful city and country.

We stayed at Cape Cadogan at the beginning of our South Africa trip and loved it. The staff were always warm and wanted to make sure you had everything you need. The bed and linens were top notch. We had a little private courtyard with a table and surrounded by greenery. The public spaces were somehow both luxurious and relaxed. The have an honor bar in the afternoon/evenings and it was so pleasant to have a glass of wine in the living room after a dinner out. There are wonderful touches like a large bowl of cold water bottles to grab on your way in or out. Little chocolates every night in your room.

It feels very secluded, an oasis in the busy restaurant-full Kloof Street area, as opposed to the more sterile hotel district downtown. Oh, and don't miss a dinner at Upper Union on the property -- really attentive service. The raw oysters were excellent. Breakfast to order in included and we loved sitting on the patio in the morning lingering over coffee. Want two lattes, one for here and one to go? No problem!

I am so happy to give good reviews when I find an excellent property and if you can, I fully recommend you stay here when you are in Cape Town.

We had chosen this hotel for its size and following a recommendation and from first crossing the threshold we were warmly welcomed and treated as if we were the sole occupants of the hotel.
Our room was very well presented and had all necessary amenities and facilities, while the general hotel area provided a sense of tranquility and calm. The restaurant, where breakfast was also served, did not in any way let the other aspects of the hotel down, with first class quality food and attentive service. The hotel also has a very useful shuttle bus service, for conveyance to other parts of this iconic city.

Many thanks to the Cape Cadogan for a very welcoming and charming stay in Cape Town. You really made my visit and I would definitely stay here again when in your city.

The room and bathroom I had were spacious with all of the amenities. Bedroom had an armoire with safe. The giant tv had access to Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as normal channels. Plugs suited people with appliances from various countries. In my view, this is the rare case of rooms looking more attractive in person than on the website. Bed was very comfortable. Adjustable thermostat. Excellent shower. Lots of products provided.

I appreciated all the welcoming touches that continued throughout my stay as well as the nibbles on offer in the afternoon. Breakfast was excellent and efficient.

The location off Kloof Street is perfect. Near an array of places to eat and also not far from major highlights either by foot or a short Uber. The staff is very knowledgeable and able to answer questions or help with a reservation.

My thanks to the entire staff, especially Yanick, who did so much to make my stay great. You’re the best.

This hotel was beautiful. Everything from the lobby, to our room to the attached restaurant. The staff was amazing, I got sick during my stay and they took great care of me going above and beyond. The attached restaurant was great, we had breakfast there every morning and had dinner there as well. The location is perfect to be walking distance to restaurants and bars along kloof st and long st, as well as a short drive from table mountain and the botanical gardens. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town!!!

This was my second stay at Cape Cadogan, it is, in my opinion, the best boutique hotel in Cape Town. This beautiful. quaint hotel offers stunning luxury and excellent service.

The rooms at Cape Cadogan are elegant and comfortable. From the plush bedding to the modern décor, every detail has been thoughtfully curated to provide a charming, luxury stay.

The hotel's modern décor adds a touch of sophistication to the ambiance, creating a welcoming and chic atmosphere that I absolutely loved.

The manager of Cape Cadogan showed me around the property and offered a number of restaurant recommendations. Really helpful and much appreciated.

I greatly appreciated the convenience of the complimentary shuttle service provided by the hotel, which made exploring the vibrant V&A Waterfront area a breeze.

Sadly, I missed the opportunity to try the Upper Union restaurant, so will have to come back again! However, the breakfast was absolutely superb.

A really superb choice to explore the many wonders of Cape Town.

Cape Cadogan was our first stop on our 2-week honeymoon to South Africa in January 2022. We opted for a smaller boutique hotel outside of the VA Waterfront for a quieter and more authentic experience, but still in walking distance from many bars and restaurants (better and less-touristy restaurants as well). The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the room very spacious with a private patio. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks and snacks in the courtyard/pool area every day after exploring the city, unfortunately however did not have breakfast (although included). The staff was always available whenever we needed anything and they went above and beyond to make our stay special – including leaving a bottle of champagne and warm congratulations for us to enjoy on our last night. Would definitely return on my next trip to Cape Town!

I believe they started at 7:00 AM but they are so accommodating I am sure something could be worked out if this is not acceptable. This is a wonderful place to stay and very close to great restaurants. It is a little way from the wharf but they will give you a ride there if you want.

Hi! We stayed at Cape Cadogan in March. We DID hear music, but our room was on the second floor in the back corner of the building (Room 8) which has a balcony that opens up toward Kloof Street. It was surprisingly during the week and not on the weekend, and also the type of music I enjoy, so I wasn't really concerned! It also stopped at a relatively reasonable hour. The rooms in the carriage house (11, 12, 14) may be your best bet for assured quiet, but I didn't find the noise to be detrimental to our stay. ENJOY!

Hello. There is no gym on-site. The hotel can arrange a pass for a local gym with a good selection of workout options. There are also a few good jogging routes around the hotel and the guest relations team can advise on these.
