This guest house is beautifully furnished in traditional style. It is in a quiet but convenient location. The people running it are charming and very welcoming. Just the place to recover from an overnight flight!
We looked at several web sites and properties before selecting Rosedene in Cape Town. We ended up in room 6, with a view overlooking the pool, and Table Mountain. The property is located on a cul de sac on Upper Kloof street. So if you are looking for something close, yet quite, you should seriously consider Rosedene. We were in Cape Town in the low season, and taking advantage of what their web site said [--] about the off season, we asked for a discounted rate. My six year old son and I stayed here for three nights in Oct, and found it to be a very comfortable guesthouse. It is conveniently located in Upper Kloof street, near excellent cafe's and restaurants. We stayed in room 11, which was large and beautifully decorated, with a view of the mountain. When you book book do ask for a room with a view on the top floor. The staff where so helpful, warm, friendly and professional. The breakfasts where wonderful, fresh and substantial. The decor is great, there are places to sit (or lounge) and a pool. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. The owners are lovely. It is a classy establishment that still feels warm and friendly. We felt truely welcome
