The hotel was more of a B&B....we were there 2 days... took a tour which they gave us a breakfast to go since it was before breakfast time...next day had to get to airport early so never got to get the full B&B experience...although the 1st day of arrival they had 3 cooks in the kitchen and it smelled amazing....

We chose An Africa Villa for our stay in Cape Town as we wanted a smaller owner operated establishment. We were made very welcome and the staff was wonderful at meeting our needs. Breakfast was very good, and my husband was able to have his gluten free toast. We enjoyed the location as we were able to walk to several...

My wife and I consider this the best and most reasonable hotel in Cape Town. The rooms are spacious, reasonably priced and very comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown. Louis and Keith gave us tips on 2 restaurants close by the hotel and what we considered some of the best food of our stay in South...

My wife and I stayed here for 1 week. Love this place! It felt like coming home. The villa is a series of 3 townhouses joined and converted into this beautiful b&b. The owners/hosts Keith, Kayla, Louis all made us feel so welcome and helped us plan our trip, rent a car, etc. We stayed in House C, in a...

Having stayed at An African Villa on several occasions, checking in feels like coming back to our Cape Town home. The welcome is warm, every room we've stayed in has been more than comfortable, the décor is stylish and breakfast is good especially when you can sit outside in the sunshine and look up at the mountain. Most of all...

Thanks for your professionalism in welcoming us in your very nice place. The decoration in the house is just great and breakfast is very good: for sure, we will advise our French friends to come at your place if they plan to visit Cape Town.

This 12 room B&B (or boutique hotel) is located in 3 late 19th century, linked townhouses. The public rooms are extensively decorated with tasteful African art, and this is carried through to the bedrooms. The garden area is quite small for a 12 room hotel, with a plunge pool and 4 loungers. Plenty of other seating at tables. We had...

This was our first visit to Cape Town and we came with my brother in law and his wife. We stayed for four nights in this absolutely wonderful guest house and were all extremely impressed with our stay. Our rooms were on the first floor and had balconies overlooking the back of the property, they were very spacious with comfortable...

This is a lovely and spacious B&b in Cape Town. We stayed in a first floor room with balcony onto the front of the property. Great bathroom with separate shower and bath. Huge bed which was so comfy and great air con. Lovely breakfast in the morning and a nice sheltered patio area and plunge pool. What makes the place...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This Villa is much more than that! It is in fact three houses which are part of a Victorian terrace dating from 1892. The double story houses have been joined together and so the inside spaces are much larger than the facade suggests. It's like walking into a TARDIS someone has written on Tripadvisor! There are 12 rooms and the hotel is owner managed.Location is vital when choosing a spot for you vacation and this more than a Villa is within an easy walk of all tourist attractions in the city area. The others (like the fabulous beaches) are a short taxi ride away. There is a small plunge pool in a peaceful courtyard where a very full breakfast is served in summer. (In winter there's a sociable dining room and an eco-friendly fire blazing). Your hosts are very careful to offer you as much information as you want and they will arrange car rental, restaurant reservations, tours etc. As required.Free internet on 2 computers in a library area and wireless access is available in all rooms. At night the night porter will set out complimentary sherry and port and at other times there is an honesty bar and guest fridge in the kitchen. Parking is on street and there is no charge (street guards patrol) but you should not need a car from this well placed hotel. ... more   less
