My family of five, including two teenagers & a six year throughly enjoyed our stay at this friendly & comfortable boutique hotel. The staff were friendly & helpful.
The hotel is in a great location in central Cape Town.
Over our three week holiday we stayed here a total of six nights.
We wouldn’t hesitate staying here again.

Over the past few years the courtyard surrounding the Cape Heritage hotel has been developed as a buzzing social hub with a number of places to eat, an art gallery, gin tasting venue etc; as a consequence the rooms can be rather noisy on busy evenings. If a little noise is not a problem, then I highly recommend this hotel.
We love this hotel which is why we always stay here when we visit Cape Town (this was our third stay). The Cape Heritage is great value for money; has an ideal central Cape Town location; the rooms are stunning - all are individually designed and complement the historic setting; the hotel staff are friendly and could not do more to help; and breakfast is delicious (it is an event in itself).
Thank you for looking after us so well. We WILL be back.

The Cape Heritage was a lovely place to land in Cape Town. The rooms are charming, spacious, stocked with tea, filtered water (sorry, only nasty instant for coffee drinkers in the room, you'll have to pop downstairs and have Bamford one of the other members of staff make you a proper coffee!) The hotel wends its way up and around the entire block, neighbours some of the best restaurants in Bo Kaap (really so much better than Waterfront). Each room is furnished differently with a mix of modern and more period pieces; equally, local artwork is dotted about the hotel, juxtaposed with antique furniture. The breakfast is a standout: set yourself up until dinner with the self service continental buffet (fresh, quality bread, fruit, pastries and cereal) followed by beautifully cooked and lovingly presented cooked dishes. All the staff, only some of whose names I recall (Sam, Hilton, Bamford...) are helpful, attentive, kind & generous with their time and offerings (refreshments when you arrive, filtered water everyday in your water bottle. The ONLY negative (sadly not unimportant) is the noise factor - some nights (but you never know when) the courtyard downstairs, which they share with the HeadQuarters Steakhouse, can be noisy prevent/put off a good night's sleep - avoid if you are a light sleeper.

Would definitely go back - a gem of a place and a gem of a team. The hotel also supports a local charity for kids which you can contribute to

Cape Heritage Hotel is located in the central part of Cape Town and it's within close proximity to many very nice restaurants. We stayed for 11 nights during Christmas and we had a huge bedroom with a connecting smaller bedroom, a large bathroom and a balcony facing the inner courtyard. The included breakfast was excellent and the service level was immaculate. The hotel is close to the CIty Sightseeing Tour office, which offers many great tours, so checkout their website. The area around the hotel is both nice and somewhat dodgy, because there are a lot people begging for money in the downtown area. If you want to go to the Waterfront area, the best option is to use Uber, which is both cheap and convenient. To conclude, I must say that Cape Heritage hotel, is one of the very best hotels we have ever stayed at and the Cape Town area is a lovely place, and we will definitely come back soon.

We stayed at the Cape Heritage for 5 nights at the start of our South African holiday. Firstly, the staff were very friendly and professional. A complimentary drink was given on arrival and we even had a bottle of bubbly in our room to help with a Birthday celebration. The hotel is really well appointed. We had a large airy room with an enormous bathroom. There is lots of great artwork on the walls throughout the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. An added bonus was being able to take breakfast in a courtyard under the oldest vine in Cape Town. Hotel position is excellent: genuine walking distance from top tourist attractions such as Castle, Company Gardens and Bo Kaap. For further afield, the hotel is close to great road links to Table Mountain, Constantia, and the coast. In addition, the hotel is a genuine 2 minute walk from a range of lively bars and restaurants: the kind frequented by locals. Love Thy Neighbour, House of Machines, La Parada and Burger & Lobster are all worth a visit. Parking is in a secure lot adjacent to the hotel. In summary, it’s a well appointed historic building with great staff, great rooms, great breakfast and a great location. Highly recommended. 10/10.

We were looking for a central CapeTown hotel. We have been to the city before but had been put off by scare stories and so only ever stayed on the coast or further out in the wine-lands. The hotel was a very pleasant surprise, we had beautiful room and the staff were terrific. The only downside was the parking situation. We parked the car overnight in the cape heritage spots in the public parking lot as recommended by the hotel. The Car park security guard was obviously asleep when all hubcaps and the badges were removed by the car as they saw nothing. What a pity as although the hotel was very good it rather spoiled our stay....

A wonderful hotel with a superb location and lovely staff. A perfect way to start our African adventure. One of those small hotels that make you feel as if you were a guest in someone's home rather than a hotel. Rooms were exquisitely decorated with African motifs and of a very good size. The common areas cozy and warm. Breakfast (which is included) was more than a simple "breakfast bar" you would expect in any other hotel.

Close to many of the main attractions in the downtown area; practically all within walking distance or a very short taxi ride away.

Only thing we regret about our stay is that it was only for 1 night! Hope to one day come back and stay for a few more days!

What an incredible experience! My son had visited twice before and insisted we stay here for our first trip to Capetown. AMAZING!! 3 heavenly days. Everything I mean everything was tops. Charming entrance, extremely hospitable staff who got us into our room in the middle of the morning, very very early. And of course served us coffee in the front living room as we were waiting. our bags were whisked away. We were invited to breakfast right away. This was served in a charming open air alleyway with a giant grapevine covering it. The grapevine is over 250 years old. The central courtyard is an oasis. The breakfast was fantastic. Cappuccino or whatever you want to drink. Fresh fruit, outstanding Spanish omelettes. I would recommend the smoked salmon with goat cheese and spinach. Superb. Later on, you could have a glass of wine in the courtyard. I felt quite at home here and would have stayed longer. The rooms are sumptuous. The bathroom was suitable for royalty. Wonderful air-conditioning. Extremely comfortable bed. Very inviting decor. Everything you could possibly want. And most of all, the absolute nicest most welcoming staff. This is definitely worth a repeat!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms reflect the classic architecture.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, organising Ubers for us on many occasions and booking a taxi to pick us up from the airport and drop us off at the car hire office.
The breakfasts were excellent with cereals, fruit and pastries to start and a cooked breakfast also. We enjoyed both the rooms we stayed in as the managed kindly allowed us to change rooms due to the noise from other bars in the area.
The location is ideal for visiting the Bo-Kapp and city centre, the city sightseeing office is 5 mins walk away, where you can pick up the hop-on, hop-off bus and join the free guided walking tours. There are also many good restaurants close by and a very nice bar & restaurant in the hotel courtyard.
I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a gem. It was booked as part of a package on a trip including a cruise. The location is good on the edge of the CBD in a quiet square. Although the square is fairly quiet it has half a dozen restaurants in it. The staff are all amazing but special mention to Bamford and Mary who treated us like their family. The rooms are huge and we had a veranda not a balcony! Nothing is too much trouble here and you feel like you're staying at someone's private villa. Superb

Uber. You can set it up to take cash (it wouldn't take my card since I got a SIM card in the airport and therefore a new phone number); go to an ATM in the airport (also, safer than in the city).

Good day, Thank you for your message. We have rooms with twin beds and in our Luxury rooms and Suites we are able to add an extra bed as well. Our standard room are unfortunately too small to accommodate the addition of a third bed. I trust the above is helpful. Warm regards, Sam
