At the beginning of our SA/Botsuana/Simbabwe tour we stood 4 nights in the Cape Heritage Hotel. The location is excellent, short walks to Long Street (If one would wish to go there!), Companies garden, Greenmarket, Bo Kaap etc. Also to Waterfront it is less than 30 minutes. The hotel staff and management was very nice, attentive and efficient. The building is a heritage and hosts many businesses like the hotel, eateries, a bar etc at the outside of the premisses but also inside. So, if you have a room facing the yard you will experience chatting people until 11pm. Outside rooms face Bree street, busy and not very quiet. Bring ear plugs. The rooms vary significantly. We had a luxury version and this was large, large bathroom, large (high elevated) bed, etc. This is a heritage building. Some of the appliances matured with grace. So please do not expect that all the installations work to perfection. Breakfast was excellent as well, very nice service. We arrived very early at 6:30am and the team started to serve us almost instantly.…
I stayed at this hotel with my family of 5. The rooms were very spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated with African art. The bathrooms deserve a note for the size and the stunning fittings and furniture. The hotel is in an ideal position, walking distance from Bo-Kaap, the city centre monuments, greenmarket square and an easy reach of the Victoria & Alfred waterfront, Table Mountain and other attractions. Service was impeccable, breakfast delicious and served in the pretty heritage square. I would definitely recommend for a stay in Cape Town.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this fantastic hotel. The staff were very attentive, polite and super helpful and provided a truly unique experience. The hotel is located on Bree Street which is the up and coming ‘trendy’ spot in Cape Town Centre with numerous bars and restaurants within safe walking distance. The hotel courtyard offers three eating opportunities with a fantastic bar ‘Jerry’s’. Central location and an approx 15 minute walk to the V&A waterfront. Highly recommend.
Older style (not a Radisson!) on one of the best streets in Cape Town....and I know as I used to live there! Great location and one of the warmest welcomes you can get....real family feel. Superb for restaurants, bars and shopping and can walk to most places including the Waterfront although that is some 20-25 mins away it's a very pleasant stroll.
Thank you to everyone at Cape Heritage for a wonderful stay in July. My room was large and beautiful. The entire staff could not have been more helpful and kind. And the letter to guests demonstrates their commitment to their community. I look forward to my next trip to Cape Town and would happily stay with you again!
