The hotel is best suited for the shortest stay possible. You will have to pay R100 a day for parking which you only learn about on arrival, you will also have to pay a R200 deposit per person. Thereafter if you so much as make their sheets or towels dirty you will be fined (lose your deposit or pay more). The plumbing in the building was also rather loud meaning you are woken up when people around you are showering.

It starts out as a downer—no ramp for wheeled suitcases—you have to lug it up the stairs.

This is the one of the few places I have been to with a tour group where you had to pay for wifi. I heard it was awful.

There are no plugs near the bed (so if you have a CPAP machine you better have a long hose) and the A/C is far from the beds. In fact, there are few plugs at all. Not enough light to read by.

Our room was facing the street and it was quite noisy.

There is a decent fitness center but it is hard to find and get to.

The staff is friendly and the on site restaurant is good.

Overall, did not meet expectations.

For the price that we paid it was decent. But ask for the room with a view as the internal room views balconies look to other rooms which is a bit strange.
Pro’s: secure parking. Good welcome at reception. Neat rooms and spacious. Very nice bed and linen. Friendly and helpful working staff. Stylish ans shiek. Nice aircon in room. Good gym experience. Nice swimmingpool (small though). The 2 entertainers at the restaurant (piano and bass) was a fantastic experience.
Cons: we heard that when we arrived at the underground parking that you an extra R100 per night for parking (OUTRAGIOUS). the tissue holder in the bathroom fell off a couple of times, ehich was irritating. Only 1 movie channel (rest is news and sabc). Our room had a Bathroom with shower in bath, which is average and dissapointing for me. Food at restaurant overpriced for what you get, bit they have friendly staff and entertainment.

This property displays a 4-star but felt like a 2 star. Was a disaster of a stay. We booked in for 4 nights and fled after one night. We did not feel at all safe in the hotel never mind the sleepless night.

These were our lowlights of the property.

1) R100 parking only for the hotel to park you in with other cars so you cant leave. They made us leave our keys but never had keys for the car parking us in.
2) Aircon was so noisy that it constantly woke us.
3) The pool lift was a very scary experience.
4) Fire Alarm kept going off in the hotel. (4 times in 24hr) Then the roof sprinkler system went off and they covered the floor with a white sheet.
5) Constant power on and off for a few minutes at a time or 5 or 6 occasions (Over and above the load shedding - 6 hrs in 24 hrs)
6) Very dated room.
7) A mini-bar selection of non premium products at ridiculously high prices.

Do not recommend.

Checking in at front desk was a huge challenge.one lady onduty, repeating lines over and over regarding smoking fines, instead of making guest aware of breakfast times, directions to the rooms, etc. Porters do not even open the doors from parking side. Breakfast was cold and bacon was so dificult to bite. Last part was checking out, the reception call on an handheld radio to the housekeepers to check u rooms, while u wait at desk. They will come with any excuse to with held u security deposit, and use a pillow case that is stained, to deduct value for stain. Where u not even sure if the pillow really came from u rooms. Pathetic service, will never sit a foot there again. The only good stafmember was the waiter at breakfast on dayshift of 13oct.

Worst Hotel to stay at.
No free parking.
Cannot utilise pool area after 9pm because it’s located on residential floor.
R180 p/p for breakfast is a ripoff for stale bread, no scrambled eggs, dried overcooked sausage, no mushrooms, just not what you would call a buffet.
Stay away. There are better option in the CBD

Unfortunately stars don't seem to be a rating one can trust, this so called 4 star establishment is really overrated.

Don't dare be a smoker and check in here, the smoking section is a tiny corner in the driveway, loud and dangerous.

Generally the staff are rude and obnoxious. So far only the porter, Victor has any sense what customer care or service is.

The meals, well for that one make sure you have a strong stomach or don't come hungry....

I would strongly advise that you also bring your own tea or coffee.

Very good hotel with a friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I got an upgrade and stayed in a suite. Amazing experience. The restaurant serves excellent food. The breakfast is varied and offers a wide choice of food and drinks.

I had an excellent stay, the staff in general is very friendly and receptive.
The room was large and cozy. Spacious bathroom with good shower.
Internet worked well at all points.
Excellent location, 3 blocks from Long Street, Green Market. And 10, 12 reais by Uber from V A Waterfornt.
Easy movement everywhere.

The breakfast is very tasty and welcoming. With essential items for a good coffee.
And here I highlight Sanelisevive. What a spectacular employee! He welcomed us very well every day. He prepared our coffee with great care. This is one of those who love what they do, who feel good doing it. A good glow to see! Congratulations!

I also highlight Nomsa, who checked us in. Wonderful! Super patient and caring throughout the stay, always helping us and welcoming

Negative points:
When booking I had purchased and re-booked a 2 bed room. This was confirmed by the team in the reservation response, but when I arrived I was in a room with a double bed. We changed rooms twice, and both in the same way. We preferred to return to the 1st, and we were told that it would be adjusted the following day, but it was not.

2nd Point: I found the hotel to be somewhat flexible regarding late checkout. This is at 11 and this is how it had to be done. When I questioned the receptionist at checkout, she gave me a firm answer that if I stayed beyond 11, I would have to pay R400. And above 4 hours, the daily rate is complete. I thought she could have been more friendly in her response.

Whilst the bed was comfy the staff and cleaning services were very poor.
The rooms were cleaned extremely late.
The staff turnover appeared high. The management team was very unobliging and rude.
We toured with a soccer club and whilst the noise levels were really low the staff and management failed to accommodate simple requests.
Due to Covid the pool area was limited to 5 people - rather close it down!!!!

I stayed in November last year for 10 nights and didn't have to pay for WiFi. It was included as part of the room rate. You have to log back in when you have taken your device away from the hotel but otherwise, it was fine.

They offer free coffee but cappuccino I suppose they consider it over and above their "4 star " breakfast! I suggest they downgrade to 3 star
