I stayed 3 nights at the hotel with my family. I was initially very impressed by the somewhat chic design of the hotel lobby area. Love the wall-mounted luggage and decor. My room was very disappointing though. I don’t understand how the bathroom could possible come from the same designer as the hotel lobby. It was mediocre and boring. I thought the brick walls in the room was too harsh, definitely one of the least cosy hotel rooms I have stayed at. There is only one international power socket in the entire room, and only one other socket could fit an international adaptor, that makes the grand total of ‘chargeable’ sockets in the room to TWO - a disaster when we had to share and charge so many of our stuff. WORST part was the two sockets were too close to each other, and the adapter couldn’t fit properly as it was hitting the plug next to it. I had to travel with an empty power bank the next day because of this! Aircon was making a lot of noise and was really annoying. I had to turn it off just so that I could sleep. I would have given this hotel a 2 star if not because of the extra-friendly staff.

Last but not least, I was 100% sure I switched off the aircon when I left the room in the morning (it was too loud for me and I never leave a room with the aircon on), but surprisingly when I returned to the room in late evening, the aircon was on! Room was so cold Someone must have entered the room and turned on the aircon a Long time ago. Not that I had to pay for the electricity but isn’t this a waste of energy?

My mother and I recently spent 12 days at the garden court. I can honestly say it was a fantastic stay and it was made by the extra special by the staff.
The hotel itself is fairly standard, the room was clean and comfortable with everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and i particularly liked the pillows. They were cleaned well and I felt safe that if things were left out they wouldn’t be touched. Of course it’s wise to use the safe provided for valuables, which was very easy to use. My only issue would be the placement of the hardwired hairdryer, it was in a draw and you had to lean over a desk to see in the mirror which was awkward. And they could consider the lighting for a woman doing her makeup. But these as very minuscule issues.
The food was nice, not mind blowing but reasonably priced and very tasty. This said their curry special was very nice and i particularly enjoyed the breakfast, especially the different daily treats (try the chicken) and the eggs were made to order as to your taste.
The main treasure to this hotel are the people that work there! They are all incredibly friendly and helpful. In particular Noni who went above and beyond on more than one occasion helping me to get my hair braided, making the appointment and calling the lady personally and insuring I wasn’t taken advantage of. This lady is a true treasure to this hotel. Gabriella on the front desk also went above and beyond, helping us to book various day trip specifically the shark diving experience I’d always dreamed of. Herself and the other desk staff always ensured we were safe and secured taxis to and from anywhere we wanted to go even during the terrible strike that was going on at the time.
MT makes the most excellent cosmopolitans and always catered to our needs. The young lads such as zolisa and fortune to name a few looked after us very well and Robert oversaw it all so well, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The pool is a hi light, for the few days we could get out there due to renovations, but it had everything you’d need and very nice facilities. Could do with cleaning due to natural debris (seeds from trees and leaves) but it really was nothing bad, I was still happy to get in even tho it was freezing lol! But it was their winter time.

Overall my mother and I was so happy with our stay and would happily go back and recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s really nicely located and walking distance from the waterfront and the conference centre where we were each day for the Netball World Cup. And the Spar just down the road which was fantastic.

We had 10 terrific days in Cape Town and stayed in the marvelous Garden Court hotel. This hotel exceeds all our expectations and was located perfectly between the Waterfront and the city centre. The hotel is modern and equipped to the highest standards. The rooms have airco, and international adapter, desk, really good king size bed, coffee and tea facilities, nice shower. The breakfast is perfect with great coffees, omelettes, fried eggs, or just mention it and the cook will make it to your request.

The hotel is located only 10 minutes walking from the Waterfront or the city centre.

Unfortunately our suitcase didn't arrive with the flight, but when we met the very friendly CEO Nabila Cassim who was cleaning our breakfast table and brought us in contact with her terrific assistant Noni, we eventually got it after all the support they gave us calling Air France in South Africa. We are so grateful as our holiday finally could start after that.

Next time we are in Cape Town we definitely will stay in hotel Garden Court Victoria Junction again to make sure our expectations will be exceeded once more. Thank you so much!

The hotel is situated approx 20 min drive from the airport . It is ideally located approx 10 minute walk to the V& A waterfront . The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay . The room was spacious and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. The room was overlooking the busy road , but we only experienced very minimum noise . We had a nice breakfast , which had ample choice of hot and cold food , pastries cereal etc , buffet style - omelettes/eggs cooked to order by the friendly cooks. We had dinner in the hotel which did not disappoint and was reasonably price . The restaurant staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful . All in all a great , good value for money hotel , which I would thoroughly recommend .

We stayed for 6 days at the hotel, the hotel is located central in Cape Town, so best is to always take a car or use one of their shuttles to the Waterfront. That being said we always felt safe and had a super time.

The rooms were great an and the staff super friendly and attentive. Waterfront around the corner, short drive to the Sea Point, Table Mountain, and all other attractions in Cape Town

Hotel with friendly staff which were eager to help.
We had booked inter-leading rooms which were comfortable for a family of 4.
A great start to a great breakfast.
A halaal friendly breakfast followed protocols and were very enthusiastic in serving our needs.

Only downfall was returning to the room after a full day out and finding your room not serviced. Perhaps the letter received should have re-iterated the Covid protocols for housekeeping!

Thanks the the breakfast staff for their friendliness and eagerness to help!

The Garden Court V&A is probably the best hotel in the city positioned for price, amenities, and location . The hotel is new and the rooms are serviceable and well designed for an urban hotel. This Garden Court is within walking distance to The V & A Waterfront, De Waterkant with all its bars, restaurants , and galleries. There is a Spar grocery store, liquor store, chemist, and a interior mall with ATMs all within three blocks. The neighborhood is safe for a large metropolitan urban area so be careful but I highly recommend this hotel.

From start to finish, every staff member that we came into contact with was professional, warm and efficient. From the front desk, barmen, waiters and security at the lift (who would push the button for you before you could lift a finger)
A big thank you to the GM and Assistant GM who seemed to be available from morning until night. No request was too big or too small.
The team exude a genuine warmth and hospitality - more so than any establishment I have been in for some time.
The service and attentiveness was 5 Star!
The breakfast spread was delicious, rooms were comfortable and well equipped and position of the hotel perfect.
Cannot recommend this hotel and team enough

We went on a trip to Cape Town from the United States. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly, helpful and gracious. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel accommodations were comfortable and well done. Security is readily available on location. There are a number of easily navigated place to visit around the hotel, and if needed the hotel will provide a shuttle to specific locations. Hop On Hop Off tours are a quick 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. A must do in order to get an idea of what to see and do in Cape Town. The hotel is a great place to stay and we will be back.
