Henry was the most excellent host. He and his staff provided a top notch experience giving us recommendations and fine attention to detail. Henry’s buffet breakfast was unlike any buffet we’d eaten. He made breakfast to order. The Villa was the perfect place to meet with friends and chill in the courtyard.

We had the most warm, welcoming and comfortable stay for our first five days in Cape Town at the Mediterranean Villa. Sabrina and the rest of the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, from arranging tickets to visit Table Mountain to cooking breakfast eggs to perfection. Every detail in and around the property is thought out and beautifully maintained. The gardens and pool are inviting and relaxing. We spent a whole lazy day around the pool escaping the heat and crowds in the city. The breakfast is a wonderful selection of a cold buffet with several different types of artisan breads, pastries, cheeses, meats and spreads. Along with a variety of cereals, juices, fruit, nuts and seeds. Plus hot food: eggs, bacon and omelettes. On Valentine’s Day the tables were set with rose petals, red serviettes and heart shaped chocolates. It was delightful. The room was not only tastefully and beautiful decorated, it was immaculately clean with a pristine modern en-suite. There is a very generously stocked honesty bar where you can purchase a selection of cold and hot drinks. We felt well cared for and totally safe and secure at the Mediterranean Villa, all thanks to the genuinely heartfelt service from the wonderful staff. When the time came to leave we were really reluctant to go, it felt like leaving family. I highly recommend a (long) stay at Mediterranean Villa whilst in Cape Town, it will add to your experience of a fun and beautiful city.

I had a very good time staying at the Mediterranean Villa guest house. Travelling on my own I felt very well looked out for by all the staff. Petra and Sabrina help me to organize my excursions. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, it felt so warm, like family. The breakfast was good, the rooms and facilities clean. Will recommend to my friends and family.

Dear Petra & Team, During our journey through SA we've had several nice accommodations, but yours is definitely our favorite! While the whole Villa is a really exceptionally nice spot to stay at, the helpful team and the whole atmosphere give it a character...we received many advises from Petra regarding Restaurants and nice spots, we'd never visited without her advise! We'll definitely come back!!! Lena & Daniel

This place is perfect to relax after an exciting day at the City. You can enjoy the time at the pool sourrounded by a little garden. All rooms are designed classy and cosy. Small decorative details make it unique. The breakfast room ist very bright and you have a nice view facing the Garden. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast, that was once even prepared earlier for us since we wen't on a Trip. Sabrina gave und very usefull advice, organized tickets or trips for us. All staff members were very accommodating and friedly. We felt save at any time. We would love to return some time in the future. Thank you for making our stay most enjoyable.

I have seldom felt so much "at home" while being about 13.000 km far away from it! Petra an her team provide just about everything that makes one feel welcomed and content. There is safe parking just in front of the villa, in case one fears for the rental car. There are very comfortable beds in very chic rooms, a relaxed mediterranean atmosphere both, at the pool and in the inner yard, a very delicious breakfast buffet and service, a well-stocked self-service bar with a collection of snacks, hot and cold drinks, a small, lovely souvenir shop area, and - most important of all - there is heart! We had a great time and were always happy to come back to the Villa after an exciting day in the mother city.

I stayed 4 nights in the guesthouse and very, very much enjoyed my stay. The room (“2) which is in the main house was cozy and nicely decorated (as well as the single budget room in the separate building where I spent my last night). The main house is an old colonial house with wooden floors and enclosed veranda overlooking the small but very leafy garden where breakfast is served, insuring a relaxed start in the day. The breakfast is simply delicious, buffet style (with eggs made to order and a daily special) and carefully refilled even for late comers in the morning. During the day you can help yourself with coffee, tea and biscuits (for free) or various cold beverages offered in a nice little room besides the little gift shop with products from a local charity and worth a visit. The guesthouse lies in Tamboerskloof which is a residential area, quiet and leafy while in easy walking distance to lively Kloof Street with its quirky shops and highly recommendable restaurants (Café Paradiso, Kyoto Gardens) and even down to the Company’s Gardens (20 minutes) in the Centre. But the biggest plus are Petra and her team, always friendly and helpful. Petra, the Manager, is always charming and full of good advice and useful suggestions on what to do and Michael besides providing a smooth and efficient service with his colleagues at breakfast, is always ready for a good joke. It gives the guesthouse which is very well and efficiently run a special atmosphere, full of energy and good humour which I have never found before in a B&B.

MedVilla is a lovely old house turned into a small gracious guesthouse. Situated in a quiet, pretty, leafy area of Cape Town, it's minutes by car to the waterfront and other sightseeing locations. My room was very comfortable and quiet, and the breakfasts were delicious. I can't say enough good about Petra, who was always helpful and charming. Orchids, too, to the exceptional staff, who also helped to make my stay the pleasure that it was.
