We stayed at the Cape Milner for 4 nights over Christmas and had an excellent stay. This was the second time we have stayed and were pleased to see that standards have not slipped, despite the difficulties and restrictions due to Covid. Our deluxe room was large and immaculately clean, with great air con and high end toiletries. The freestanding bath was a nice touch. Bedding and towels were all high quality. We previously stayed in a standard double room (which are far smaller) and I would recommend upgrading to a deluxe room if possible. Staff in the restaurant/bar were all very friendly and helpful. The standard of food and drinks was high, and prices were very competitive. The breakfast buffet has been replaced by an a la carte offering- service could be a bit and miss and the orders were often slightly wrong, but it was generally still of a good standard. The pool area is pleasant, has great views of Table Mountain and towels are provided. However, non residents are able to use the pool which means it can often get busy and guests struggle to get a bed. We also experienced this on our previous visit. The location is great- a safe 5 minute walk to Kloof Street and numerous bars/restaurants. Highly recommend.
