This B&B is more like a hotel! You get the room cleaned during your stay, the towels changed, and even the laundry they do it for you. You have a beautiful view of the city, table mountain, and lion's head. The owner is so fast with responding your messages and everyone is so friendly.

Everything was very good! Maya and her Team was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the bed was very cozy and the view from the roof is awesome. The Guesthouse located perfect. So we could do everything without a taxi.

Again, we thank you Maya and Denise for a wonderful time with you.

We appreciated that you stayed up so late until we finally arrived. We find your new chef in the kitchen really good!!! Take care of him, he is great.

The guest house beautiful and is situated in a nice part of Cape Town, however the owner of the establishment was rather rude. I stayed at the guest house during load shedding ,because of this situation , the manager I had advised me to use a local deli close by for breakfast and they would pay since my rate included breakfast . Apon arrival at the deli there were no arragements made for me. When I enquired about the breakfast , the owner of the guest house rudely said I should pay for my breakfast because I was on a special rate. I told her that my office had made the bookins and not me . She dismissed me rudely and said she does not care about my bussiness . I found her to be very rude and arrogant . Never coming back there agsin

We had a lovely stay from start to finish. Excellent hosts/staff. Great location for visiting Cape Town, especially Table Mountain, which is the backdrop for the Guest Lodge. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and the breakfast is top class. Also something to try is the small cafe just around the corner where you can have a meal or buy provisions.

A group of us visited Southern Comfort to take part in the CaPE Argus cycling tour. First off the house and rooms have been well renovated and are comfortable and the location was central and ideal given we had a car. They kindly allowed us to park our trailer inside the gate for security. The hospitality shown by the owners - Hans and Michael was great and they cheerfully sorted out our bike storage, laundry and other requests. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

My flight delayed out of J'burg, I didn't arrive at the guesthouse until after 12:30 a.m. and had no cell phone service to phone my friend as all of the sim card merchants at the Cape Town airport were closed. I rang the bell at the gate a number of times before the manager finally responded and then scolded me over the intercom rather than simply buzz me in. The next day, I was confronted by the other manager who insulted me to my face.

A hotel stay is made up of equal parts comfort and hospitality. This hotel is really beautiful and in a great area. The hospitality, however, was non-existent.

The southern comfort guest house sits in the foothills of table mountain, with the most magnificent views of the city of Capetown from the Lions Head, through to the harbour and the hills to the West.
The hosts Michael and Hans, ensure that your stay is relaxing with everything from wonderful breakfasts, to beautiful rooms, and great decks and swimming pool. This is one of the best places I have stayed at in the 60+ countries I have traveled to. Nothing is too much of a problem. They are there to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, offering great advice and direction to many local tourist sites. I thoroughly recommend you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

On our second visit to Cape Town we had no hesitation in
booking Southern Comfort again. Everything was the same as last year apart from the addition of the very pleasant and
helpful Lance to the management team. It was good to see
and chat to Denise. Different bedroom this time but very
comfortable and, of course, spotless, as is the whole
property. Southern Comfort is not too far away from a good selection of restaurants and bars. The views over the city and
up towards Table Mountain are stunning. The neighbourhood
felt very safe. We would certainly recommend staying here.
