Stayed for 5 nights. The room had a modern design, a sofa and table, small sink, fridge & kettle and two twin beds joined...My view was unfortunately to a huge building in front. The soap products were really good and enhanced with argan oil. I didn't have much breakfast those days but seemed like there was something for everyone and there was a station with someone cooking eggs to order. There is a bar on the 18 floor with a nice view and a small pool; people mostly hang around the pool specially to see the sunset. There is not much to do or see or restaurants around so you will have to Uber everywhere (Uber eats was very convenient just make sure you order ahead of time). I was attending a conference at the cctiv and didn't attempt to walk there as I didn't see much people walking around so I ended up taking Uber every day, the cost depending the day and hours, was always $5 or less. Overall it was a comfortable stay and WiFi worked great throughout the stay so you can work without issues.

My stay was okay. Friendly staff and good food for breakfast . However they did not change my sheets and that annoyed me ( we stayed for about 5 days). Another thing is my sister's money was stolen. Someone is clearly stealing from that hotel and after reading some of the reviews I can now that someone is definitely stealing and getting away with it and they need to investigate properly. If it weren't for those 2 factors I would have given it a 5/5

Not quite sure where to start. I’m on the penultimate night of a 5-night stay, and am loving it. Dealing with the metaphorical elephant in the room, let’s accept that Cape Town is not the world’s safest city, and you need to take great care of yourself - but this hotel takes guests’ safety very seriously and it’s not in a particularly dangerous area. Returning to the hotel bar on Friday evening, the concierge followed me, tapped me on the shoulder and asked what I was doing at the weekend. I replied that I had a few activities organised and he smiled and said “Good; the city’s dangerous at weekends and you’d be very likely to be robbed if you went out at night on your own”. I found this to be extremely thoughtful and very much “Above and beyond”. I arrived early in the morning after a long journey (I guess I’d been on the go for 30 hours or so) and my room was not due to be ready until 3pm. They acknowledged that I was shattered and managed to get me an early check-in. My room, though fairly standard, is extremely comfortable and I was able to catch up on some much-needed sleep. The bar is great, and very reasonably priced. Food, also, is good quality and good value. Housekeeping staff - absolutely excellent . Concierge and security superb and very friendly. Bar with indoor pool and views of the city on the 18th floor is divine. Fellow guests extremely friendly, and I’ve made good friends. The problem is trying to fault the place and, actually, I see no reason to do so. Its location is possibly not the most aesthetic, but it’s within cheap Uber reach of most places you might wish to visit. I hope to re-visit Cape Town; rather fallen in love with it - and I see absolutely no reason to try elsewhere. It’s friendly, comfortable, safe and pretty good value. Five stars from me!

We had a lovely stay at the Rockefeller over eight nights. The three bedroom apartment we stayed in was tastefully decorated, clean, spacious and had a fully stocked kitchen. The location of the hotel was also great, as we were never too far away from where we needed to go. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, in particular Shaun, JP and Maurice who went out of their way to make our trip very memorable. Would absolutely recommend staying at the Rockefeller whenever you are in Cape Town!

The room was spacious but the bathroom was really badly designed and tiny. You can't open the shower door and enter the shower without creeping round the sink - if you stand on teh opposite side, the shower door won't open! There's no room to keep toiletries either. Rooms were definitely not cleaned well....carpet was dirty through my entire stay. Simple amenities like bathroom slippers and shower caps etc not available in the room unless you ask....several times and hopefully you will get it. Breakfast was nice but clearly the chefs have a differnet way of making omelette. We had group meals at the hotel. The 1st lunch was well organised, the dinner later that week was terrible. Service is mixed - some good staff but some were just terrible. I appreciated the quick action of the F&B manager to assist. It's well located though in Cape Town and good value for money despite its shortcomings.

A refreshing change for Cape Town with a great cosmopolitan vibe. Be sure to get up early to enjoy the breakfast buffet spread. We met the duty manager on arrival who was available for our last minute requests. Love the DJ vibe on weekends.

Stayed at the Rockefeller with a tour group. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The lighting was poor and there are no views. My biggest problems with my stay included a buffet breakfast that had a great selection but many of the hot offerings were cold. The hot water in the shower pulsed from too hot to too cold without reason. There were a large number of staff standing around in the main lobby but nobody seem to do anything. I tried to call the front desk for room service only to find one needed a phone directory, which was only available from the front desk. No wonder I couldn’t get through nobody gave me the code until I finally went to the front desk. I asked for toilet paper no less than four times before it finally appeared. That’s not service that’s an annoyance.
