Fiance and I spent 5 nights at the Rockefeller Hotel and it was amazing! The service was the best part of the hotel. The staff and friendly, helpful and just delightful in general. The breakfast was tasty, atmosphere at the hotel bar was vibrant always. Comfortable beds made for a luxurious sleep. The one thing I would have liked to be different is the tea/coffee station. Usually there is a complimentary station in each room, at other restaurants. At this restaurant , there is nothing in the room and tea/coffee can be requested via room service and you have to pay for this/ have it charged to your room. Other than that one minor detail, I loved every moment of our stay and would recommend it to others and most definitely will be going back on my next trip!!!

I would not recommend you to visit this hotel for your own safety. First of all i find it very weird for a non smoking hotel to have the smell of weed in the corridors. Secondly i would like to say the fridge was very noisy and the light of the fridge did not turn off at night so i would have a light constantly turned. The TV was not working, i’ve asked for the maintenance to fix it which they did (however they accessed the room 2 times what for?). Look let me be honest, the hotel in itself is beautiful let’s not lie to each other and I was having a great stay some of the staff were amazing (they even gave me a cake for free on my arrival) and very friendly however my what was supposed to be an amazing long stay (8nights) turned into a disaster when i discovered that someone from the staff (either the housekeeing or the maintenance as they were the only one to access my room) broke/damaged my suitcase (which was locked with a padlock) and stole a large sum of money. I’ve been to hotels all over the world where i would leave money the whole day on the table inside of my room, would leave the room the whole day and come back at night it would still be untouched. What a shame for such a brand new hotel, that has been open only since december 2021. I spoke to the reception which suggested me to do a police report (which i did (even tho i doubt of the professionalism of the police in cape town due to corruption in this country)), i also spoke to the manager which kept telling me about the fact that there is safes in the rooms while i kept telling him that the staff have no right to touch my belongings (especially if they’re locked!). I have also asked to see the footage of who accessed my room and i was denied it. They told me they will actually do a polygraph examination of their staff and i still haven’t heard back from them as its been over 2 weeks already. To be honest, when it came to my issue, the staff was inefficient and useless, they claimed they will help but they were just trying to act nice in front of me. I guess this will be a stay to forget, and if you are thinking about staying there PLEASE DON’T, it’s for your own safety!…

Hi Alexis, we are not even going to sugar coat this for you. You sent us a mail black mailing us that if we don’t comply with your demands that you will go and write negative reviews wherever you can. We will not stand for that. Be reminded that the day you reported this to our GM, you both agreed to have an open and transparent line of communication and that you would also allow us to investigate this claim of yours. That very same night you already wrote on negative review online making claims that have not even been proven. You also reported this alleged money being taken from your room a week after you believed this had happened and by your own omission you have been exchanging funds during that week and you were unable to provide an exact amount that is missing. You also claim we broken into a locked back and locked it again. You also moved from other hotels to ours and yet you are certain it was our team members. You also used the safe already but yet these funds were now left in your bag. We also found your wallet during your stay left in your room and we kept it and returned it for you, nothing missing then? During a course of a week we had several housekeeping agents, maintenance and mini bar service in your room. An investigation could not be concluded in 24hrs as per one of your demands. There are processes to follow and again our GM was clear about this. We did our part and did a full investigation. We did lock reads, we interviewed all the team members and then did polygraph tests, do you know how stressful that is for team members and expensive for the hotel but we did it as we believe in integrity and honesty as one of our values. The reports came back and no deception indicated on any reports. You would now not accept this as and simply continue to slander us online. Thank you, but no thank you.

We stayed 7 nights in the Rockefeller hotel. The hotel is very modern,clean and comfortable. The staff were extraordinary and freindly . The breakfast is fine. Very much recommend. The hotel is in the buisnes area of town .

Fantastic new hotel in CPT close to CTICC. Booked 3 city view rooms. Checkin was quick and easy. All Staff extremely friendly and helpful from security all the way up to management. Small mixup with our Rooms even though I had called in advance and made special request. Incorrect room types allocated. This was sort of rectified the next day. Rooms are decent size. Compact. Big comfortable beds. Courtyard room has couch with no table. City view rooms slightly larger with table and couch. Bathrooms are modern with rain shower. Drainage in shower not great with cubicle flooding. Rather pay little extra and take city view room for extra space and better outlook. “Courtyard view” overlooks inner building rooftops and low floors (5th floor) get fumes from extractor fans below if window is open. Request high floors if you can. Restaurant breakfast was good although basic. Hotel is Halal Friendly(not the meat) so they will make eggs separate from buffet if requested. Not much selection if you have special diet needs (gluten / lactose intolerant) . Room service is served from main restaurant, a bit pricey but good food. Again limited options & Could do with a bit more variety (basic toasted cheese sandwich would be great). Overall great hotel. Would stay again. It’s New so still has teething problems but hopefully will be sorted out. Pictures are room 1615 , this is NOT the standard city view room.…
