The Pepperclub Hotel receives accolades for its impeccable cleanliness and modern atmosphere, with many guests commending the spacious and well-appointed rooms. Despite the praise, some visitors have raised concerns about noise disturbances and maintenance issues. The central location is a hit among travelers for its convenience to dining and attractions, yet the nearby nightlife can sometimes disrupt the peace. While opinions on value and service vary, with some citing slow service, the staff is generally noted for their friendliness and helpfulness. Amenities like the free shuttle service contribute to the hotel's appeal, although a few guests missed having USB ports.

We stayed here for 10 nights in August and everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. The room size was great, housekeeping kept it immaculate and topped up with toiletries and water.

The breakfast choices were some of the best I've seen with an A La Carte in addition to the Buffet. We had dinner in the hotel several nights and the food was lovely. We availed of the cinema and we were brought complimentary popcorn which was a really fun novelty.

The location is great, most tours will collect you from the hotel and if not it's a 7 minute walk to the tour collection point on Long Street. We used the hotel complimentary shuttle but if the times don't suit you it's only about €3-4 for a taxi to the V&A.

A lot of the reviews mention the noise on Long Street. Don't let this put you off. Of the 10 nights we stayed only the first Saturday night was noisy. Tip: Buy earplugs! All the other nights were fine and we had earplugs for the second Saturday night but we didn't need them.

We charged dinners and drinks to our room and were very pleasantly surprised when we got the bill at the end, it was incredibly good value.

I will definitely be back - miss the staff already !

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the start of our Garden Route/Safari holiday.
We were received well by the reception staff and shown to our rooms, which were large and adequately furnished. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view of table mountain albeit through dirty windows!
Breakfast was very nice and the one dinner we had at Copa restaurant was also good, however it was a little slow in coming despite the restaurant being quiet.
We ate out the other 2 nights at local restaurants on Long Street. A member of the hotel staff accompanied us to these restaurants, which was a nice touch but not really necessary as we never felt threatened.
The hotel is in the central business district and security is very tight in this area, however I don’t think I’d want to venture much further at night.
We booked the Cape Point private guided tour prior to arriving, through the hotel website. Sammy, our guide for the day was absolutely fantastic. What he doesn’t know about the Cape isn’t worth knowing!
Whilst he didn’t come up for air, we absorbed every fact he told us and despite a cost of £250 it was fantastic value for money.
The hotel is ideally located for all the City sites and is just around the corner from the Big Red bus booking office on Long Street.
All in all an enjoyable stay and great start to our South Africa adventure.

We came in on a cruise ship and stayed a few days in Cape Town. This hotel is close enough to the cruise terminal that an Uber ride was quick and easy, and much cheaper than a taxi. Located in an area with many shops and restaurants (although a security guard warned us about using our phone for navigation when heading to a restaurant, as phone snatching is common, we took his advice and used Uber). The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the waterfront, and is just a few blocks from a hop on, hop off bus stop. Breakfast was included with our room, a nice buffet with some other items available to order. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly.

I have been to the Cayenne Spa for several years, based in this hotel. The spa treatments have always been good, although the facilities need a serious upgrade. There are no towels outside the shower in the changing room, no lotion at the hand sink, no towels or paper towels to wipe one's hands. The rooms for the treatment are however spacious, comfortable and well resourced. The therapists are well trained and offer excellent massages and facials. There are also no drinks or eats afterwards as other 5 star hotel spa's have.
A disappointment in my recent visit is that the hotel's rules suddenly changed and I was asked to pay an exorbitant amount for parking there on a Sunday, which, if I knew, I would have opted for off-street parking which was free. There is no signage to say there are parking tariffs and the security guard said nothing when I entered. It is suddenly pounced on one when for years those using the spa could park for free.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we appreciate that you have taken the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that our spa therapists provide excellent service. We are aware of the upgrades the spa needs and we are in the process of upgrading the key areas in the spa, providing a better experience to our guests. With regards to the parking, we do apologise that you were not informed before your spa treatment that parking is no longer complimentary for our spa guests. The parking is outsourced and as this is a separate company, we can no longer offer complimentary parking. We have spoken to our team, to avoid this issue going forward. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kindest regards, Keri Lee Fletcher

The room I was assigned to was located on the 15th floor, and I was immediately taken aback by the stunning view it offered. The panoramic scenes of the city were truly breathtaking and added a touch of serenity to my busy work schedule. The room itself was spacious, well-furnished, and meticulously maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of meetings and work commitments.

One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast spread. The hotel's breakfast buffet boasted a great variety of options to cater to every palate. From fresh fruits and pastries to a selection of hot and cold dishes, I found myself looking forward to the mornings to indulge in this delightful experience. The quality and taste of the food were top-notch, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the day.

The efficiency and attentiveness of the hotel staff were commendable. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests promptly, making me feel valued as a guest. Their warm and courteous demeanor added a personal touch to the service, making my stay even more enjoyable.

One aspect that intrigued me during my stay was the hotel's cinema. Though I was on a business trip and couldn't explore it fully, I couldn't help but be curious about the cinema's offerings. Should I return for a personal visit, I would make it a point to experience this unique feature.

Nice hotel and I can fully recommend it. There are
Little things that you can do better, such as the coffee or the cake. Both have room for improvement. We stayed in the suite and it was tastefully furnished with 3 full bathrooms, although I would have expected a bidet.
The fact that there was a washing machine with dryer functionality integrated in the kitchen is sensational.

The pros were that the room is huge and breakfast variety is great.

However for a 5 star hotel, they have terrible soundproofing. We could hear continuous loud music from nearby clubs way past midnight.

Even though it indicated city view, the actual view was another office building opposite that was so close that we kept our curtains closed.

There were painting works and we were not informed. We found workers inside our balcony and our balcony doors were not locked in our room. The workers were also shouting to one another at different floors throughout the afternoon. We did not manage to get our rest after a long flight.

Overall, will not recommend and would advise others to rather seek a 4 star hotel of a bigger room for this price.

Dear DeniseY247, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are glad to see that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet and the room setting. We understand that you may have experienced some noise ingress, as we are a city hotel. In order to mitigate any noise ingress, we have taken measures such as installing double-glazed windows in our rooms closer to the city’s nightlife, and we also provide earplugs to minimize any disturbance. As for the panting. We are currently finishing up the painting of the façade of the building, and therefore the painters do require access to the balconies. Nonetheless, there is a strict code of contact which clearly wasn’t followed and for that, I sincerely and humbly apologise. We thank you for staying with us and hope to welcome you back to the Pepperclub Hotel. Kindest regards, Keri Lee Fletcher

Average hotel, lacking 5* service. Some very strange things that really let this hotel down:

1. No water or towels provided in the gym. Spa reception phone not connected, so can’t even call down to ask for any. Have to resort sending an email. They reply saying they will take care of it. Next day - no water or towels. I speak to reception who agree it’s not good enough and will take of it. Third day - still no water or towels in gym. I give up asking.
2. Breakfast is plentiful in terms of food, but you have to pay extra for water or coffee other than some standard (awful) filter coffee.5* but can’t offer a cappuccino or water at breakfast?! Weird
3. Ordered the same omelet 3 days in a row, and got three 3 different versions of the same thing. No consistency in the kitchen. Same with a couple of other bar snack items we ordered.

Place is ok, but there is much better 5* to stay at in CT.

Good day, Thank you for your question regarding our pool area. Our Pool is located on the 8th floor which provides our guests an area to be outside with a fantastic view of Table Mountain! Unfortunately it is not a "Roof Top" Pool. Our Presidential Suite as well as our Pent House do offer the guests a Roof Top Pool however that is not available to all of our in house guests- only those who book the room. I hope this information finds you well and if you need anything else please let me know. Sincerely, Emily Jane

Hi Joy , we were on the 10th floor , you can hear the droning of bass ( and we were on the opposite side of the clubs) the breakfast is suitable for vegetarians, not sure about dinner though but there are many restaurants in the area and the free shuttles services to v&a waterfront will be ideal as there are many vegetarian friendly restaurants there .
