When you book, make sure you request what you’d like in the room, the pictures are not what you get. 1. WiFi doesn’t work 2. Phone doesn’t work 3. Basin blocked 4. Requested room cleaning, came back and it wasn’t done Overall, was a terrible experience, for the price you pay you’d expect a bit more
We enjoyed an intimate wine tasting and cheese platter at Rockwell Cellars @ The Rockwell Hotel & All Suite Apartments. The educational tasting was conducted by Benito the F&B Manager, he is extremely knowledgeable about his wines and flavours and made us feel like he's known us for years. After 2 tastings he had already figured out our palate and was not shy to bring out more bottles that he felt we would enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening as well as the different wines and cheeses on offer and went home with a few bottles of wine. We will definitely and gladly attend another tasting like this at Rockwell Cellars!
We stayed 5 nights in the hotel. The staff were excellent the room was very clean and the balcony that all the rooms have was a delight to share some wine in the evening. About a 15 to 20 min walk to the V&A waterfront or Long St. Would definitely book again when/if we return to Cape Town.
We had the three-bedroom penthouse apartment and it was great. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating and the location is excellent. Good value too. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.
10 Stars to our host Benito, a real wine connoisseur. Good selection of wines. The snacks was lovely. Overall an enjoyable afternoon. We would definitely recommend locals and visitors to do the wine tasting.
