More Quarters is your vibey neighbourhood getaway inviting guests to settle in and experience authentic Capetonian living. Our collection of converted heritage townhouses offers guests all the spoils of five-star hospitality and the privacy of individual accommodations. The hotel’s 27 apartments ranging from 23 Luxury Apartments (three sets interleading), and three Family Apartments (each with two en-suite bedrooms), are ideal for travellers who appreciate having their own spot to come home to, where they can kick off their shoes and play their favourite music after a busy day out. All our apartments are spacious with a separate lounge, and outside patio or veranda, and whilst you have a small kitchen, there is the convenience of five-star hotel service. With their entrances onto a cobbled lane adjoining the main hotel, they create the feel of a secluded quarter of the Gardens neighbourhood. But around the corner, the cafés, wine bars, boutiques and interior design shops of Kloof Street Neighbourhood are abuzz. Spa treatments can be booked at the spa at our sister property Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel. More Quarters Residence is an exclusive-use Residence that effortlessly combines the luxury of a boutique hotel with the comfort and privacy of a home. Although updated with modern touches, you can still admire the beautiful hardwood floors and high pressed-steel ceilings. Table Mountain is the backdrop to this beautiful property. The Residence includes four en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, and dining area, an outdoor deck with a view, and a swimming pool. Daily gourmet breakfast is served in the Residence. Should you want to enjoy an evening in, a chef can be arranged on request and at additional cost. Charming very cozy hotel located in a very nice area. The Pension consists of several small one-storey buildings communicating on two dead ends. Contemporary decoration mixes pastel colors and light wood. The reception and two small lounges, one with fireplace, are located in the main building as well as a few bedrooms; the other buildings host other bedrooms, a restaurant and a breakfast annex. Our suite consisted of a living room and kitchenette, a large bedroom with a very comfortable bed (there was even a hot tub for cool nights), and an impeccable bathroom. All the staff is extremely friendly and happy to share reviews and advice. The Pension’s restaurant is of a very good standard and offers high quality bistronomic cuisine. The neighborhood is nice, safe, with a wide choice of lively cafes and restaurants. Table Mountain is not far away and can be admired from the street. A car service with driver is available on request; we used it one evening to go to a restaurant and enjoy a comfort superior to Uber. An address we recommend without hesitation.

This hotel was perfect for a family of five. The two-bedroom apartment fit all of us, with space to spare. We loved the two-level set up and the private balcony was a big plus. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, water, coffee, tea, cocktails and wine. The Kloof Street location was unbeatable and the staff stood ready to assist us at all times, including communicating with our tour guide as to timing and with our driver over an item left behind. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely honor bar in the evening. The biggest plus: an absolutely delicious and fresh breakfast each morning starting at 7 am. The cold bar was incredible, with local offerings, and the full hot breakfast menu also impressed. They serve a fabulous cup of coffee and with a smile!

We really liked this charming small neighborhood hotel. The neighborhood is trendy, packed with shops, bars, cool restaurants. Our room, which was up a flight of stairs, was very quiet and spacious. We had a tiny balcony (but it was too chilly to sit out there), a large dining area, small sitting area and very nice bedroom with a good bathroom. The gym, at the adjoining property, was small but functional. The breakfast was excellent. There's an afternoon tea with cake each day, and wine is available in the lobby (but you have to write your name down so you can be charged). We'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted something charming and not bland and corporate.

The hotel is absolutely incredible. It is so cosy and welcoming, and the staff that work here are all amazing- I couldn’t fault a single thing. The hotel staff didn’t miss a beat, they thought of everything to make your stay like a home from home. The rooms and bathroom are absolutely huge and stunning too! The bed was absolutely incredible and so comfy! On nights it was cold, we had a hot water bottle in our bed for when we got home which was just so thoughtful. We always had fresh water by our beds, and everything they did was just perfect attention to detail and made this hotel feel like a home from home. We were here as part of our Honeymoon, and they made us feel so special- we even had a little bottle of sparkling wine in the room when we got here, which was so lovely of them. The location was spot on, it was the perfect distance from everywhere- you are never too far from anything. The hotel also offers a free Uber service to get you around the city, which made us feel so safe. The breakfast is also absolutely amazing, there is a lovely buffet with pastries and yoghurt pots etc.. and a lovely menu to choose from as well! Whilst we were here the hotel was experiencing intermittent ‘ load shedding ‘ for the month of September, as was everywhere in the city, and they made the absolute best of the situation, by letting us know the schedule so we could plan around it, and it was actually really nice sitting in the lobby by the fire! I honestly don’t have enough words to say how brilliant the staff here are, and how amazing the hotel is. It really felt like a home from home, and if we return to Cape Town, I wouldn’t look anywhere else, as this hotel has it ALL! Thank you so much

A wonderful place to stay. The staff was genuinely friendly and very accommodating when my daughter made a few special requests. The rooms were well appointed and ours was very roomy, having a living room, kitchen and two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Would definitely recommend!

More Quarters Hotel made our experience in Cape Town feel like we lived there! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. Their apartment-style rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff make you feel very welcome. The hotel is located in a fun and safe area of Cape Town, and there are staff at the front desk 24/7. They can help recommend restaurants and activities if you need. The included breakfast across the street in their breakfast room is delicious and the buffet has everything you could ever want for! The staff are incredibly friendly - we had a tight schedule on our last day in Cape Town and needed to buy stamps for a family member who collects them. Because we were unable to, the hotel staff offered to pick some up for us! We were so appreciative of their generosity. We highly recommend a stay here if you are planning a trip to Cape Town!

After you’ve travel in South Africa, and experienced the incredible accommodations available on safari in Johannesburg, or Kruger, this Cape Town stop pales in comparison.
For us, it was an extremely poor ending to an otherwise great trip.
The space was spartan. No tv connect info provided. Recent attempt at an upgrade resulted in a total mismatch of tiles, awful grouting, and poor finish work. There’s No nearby restaurant, things-to-do info, recommendation, etc. Couldn’t even get the room landline phone to work — with two visits from the hotel staff. REALLY!
They apparently think that they can price their rooms in competition with secure/safe areas. But sorry to say—- we did not feel safe outside their hotel.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel at the end of September in 2022. The 19 rooms are located in several small buildings in 2 small, narrow dead-end streets. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet is very good. Our ground floor room (nr 25) was spacious with an excellent king size bed, excellent lighting and good wifi. The room has a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, hot plate, watercooker and toaster. The shower is a bit disappointing. Within walking distance you will find a supermarket and dozens of (good) restaurants. According booking.com the hotel has a swimming pool but this is wrong information, there is no swimming pool.
The hotel, the room and the area are all fantastic but the noises we experienced were incredibly disturbing: 1. Construction work a few meters from our room began around 06.30 and all day long people shout and have loud discussions outside of our room at the ground floor. 2. Also we could clearly hear everyone (staff and other guests) going up and down the stairs to the 3 rooms above our room and entering and exiting the building (you can only lock the front door by slamming it). This happened twice at 06.00 in the morning and once late at night when we were already asleep. 3. And: 2-3 times a day there are planned powercuts which last 2-2.5 hours. One of them takes place around 02.30 during the night and as a result a noisy generator gets active and produces enough noise to keep you awake. These different sources of noise make that our high expectations were not met and keep us from giving an “excellent” rating for this hotel. However: after sharing the above feedback by email with the hotel, I received a detailed and reassuring email from the General Manager in which he explained which actions he had taken to avoid similar experiences by future guests. Given the content of the emails from him I am confident that he indeed took actions to avoid this.

Thank you for the review. So glad we were able to address the noise issue with the builders nearby as well as the private residence running the generator during the countrywide electricity loadshedding. We have also workshopped with our team. We do hope to host you again should you be in Cape Town. Kind regards, Alan Rose, GM, More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel / Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel

We enjoyed a four night stay at More Quarters Hotel and had an excellent experience. The location is great, a short walk to many bars, restaurants and shops, and the hotel will order a car for you if you'd prefer to ride rather than walk. The breakfast is included and you will NOT go hungry. Rooms were clean and spacious, the staff was super and there's an honor bar with a lovely fireplace in the adjoining sister hotel which came in handy given the early curfew. I also felt very safe there, though of course you do need to be mindful walking around anywhere in Cape Town.
We were in a ground floor room and while I loved the little courtyard, the folks upstairs were very loud. I also didn't love that the divider between the bedroom and the bathroom was just a set of shutters, which didn't offer a lot of privacy. Our friends were just down the way in rooms 25/26 which were more modern and would be my choice if we were to return.

The hotel are very good with their own security around the hotel entrance and the end of the road. We certainly felt safe, however, as with most big cities I would urge you to take extra caution at night time.

More Quarters has accommodation on both sides of Nicol St - I believe the ground floor apartments/rooms have a small seating area outside but the rooms above do not. Our room was above street level and had a kitchen with seating area and TV. We did not use the kitchen as after the fantastic breakfast we were out all day and chose to eat out in the evening. Lots of good value restaurants nearby the More Quarters staff are very helpful in booking tables (some places are very busy and I would recommend booking). We were just 2 and our room was good for us but maybe a family might prefer larger accommodation. Have a great trip - we have many great memories of our time.
We were there in November last year and there was no laundry in our room, but an excellent laundry service. They were refurbishing some of the rooms at that time, so this may have changed.
There are more places to choose from in the Cape Town Central area.
