We booked for four nights, and stayed six. And after our round trip in the area we came back again for our last to nights in Capetown. Think that says it all. Host Jacques has built a beautiful Guest House to make strangers feel like home.and leave as friends. He's always there to recommend great restaurants, tours and more whereabouts in the Westcape area. The Rooms are spacious, well equipped with all you need. Also nice sitting at the pool, down at the BBQ place or unter the shady tree. Great view to Table Mountain and Devil's Peak, totally quiet up in Tambourskloof, and still only 10 minutes away from Waterfront Area. City Centre is even in walking distance. Would go there again anytime. Unfortunately for all Capetown travellers, the Guesthouse is moving. The Good News is: Devonport House will be re-opening in Hermanus very soon. I am sure, that Jacques will have an equally fantastic place to spend some days right next to the ocean. We will be back for sure!!! …

A beautiful room with a view of Table Mountain, the owner Jacque and his staff very helpful, delicious breakfast and a nice pool to cool off at the end of the day. I had forgotten my sunglasses and Jacque arranged for him to come to the Netherlands with other guests, great!!

Had an excellent stay in this beautiful, friendly en clean guesthouse. You will never get bored of the stunning view! Jacques is a very nice host and Prudence & Esau attend to every need. Breakfast is the best start of your day!

Our stay was 5 star experience from arrival to departure. Jacques is a master host and his staff, always a smile and helping hand. The rooms is better equipped than most hotels we were staying at. Beds are top of the range, and Devonport house have the warmth that make you feel part of the family and right at home, with some extra luxury. Thank you Jacques and staff for welcoming us at your lovely home with the beautiful sight of Table Mountain. We highly recommend staying at Devonport House.
