Grand Daddy Hotel

Certificate of Excellence
The Grand Daddy is a luxury four-star city hotel with an effervescent, creative soul. Generous, warm and welcoming; The Grand Daddy’s passion is for people. The Grand Daddy’s big talking point is its ‘penthouse’ trailer park, where a collection of vintage Airstream caravans nestle beneath the backdrop of Table Mountain. Each of the 7 two-sleeper trailer suites have been conceptualized and designed by local artists and makes for an accommodation destination like no other.

Great stay! The standard room looks exactly as pictured. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is in walking distance to almost anything you need. I'd definitely stay again. Be sure to include the breakfast! It was really good and you also had a pick of anything from th

Stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and spacious and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated on long street which has plenty of bars and restaurants. The area does seem to have its share of beggars and homeless, but we

Had a quick lunch here and had to try the chicken livers. It was pretty average. The setting is quite nice on the roof with airstream caravans converted into rooms to stay over. They also show out door movies on a Monday

I absolutely loved the Grand Daddy Hotel. It was modern, clean, and excellently located. The staff were incredible and even went so far as to move my car for me and walk me to go get food late at night when I arrived after a long day of traveling. They go above and beyond and are

Very tempted to book this hotel for my stay in November, what are the noise levels like?
Good morning Suki29, Thank you for your interest in staying at the Grand Daddy, we would love to welcome you in November. All our room windows have been double glazed so the noise is not an issue. Regards, Brenda.

hello if i get a car along with me for my stay is there enough parking space available free of cost ?
Dear Deepak G, Thank you for your enquiry. The Grand Daddy Hotel was built in the late 1800's, and therefore does not have onsite parking. However, we have an affiliation with a parkade nearby, and the parking fee will be refunded to you by the hotel. Regards, Brenda Campbell General Manager.

This website states there are only Full bed options or Twin available yet the hotel website states King or Twin bed options (no mention of double/full). Is the Full bed listing a typo on this website or is the website for the hotel incorrect? Thanks
I think when they say Full they mean King, We stayed in one of the rooftop airstream trailers and it was definitely King, maybe email them directly just to be sure

Hi, was looking forward to staying with you over Easter but some SA friends have put me off saying it isn't very kid friendly as noisy and a bit unsafe. Please advise!
Our room was great on the top floor (just under bar) and no noise issues - room was spacious but hotel was compact and maybe seen as a little child unfriendly (we only had one 2yr old boy travelling with our group and didn't notice any other kids while there). Breakfast was yum and the staff were lovely and accommodating. A bit more of a trendy boutique hotel than a family friendly one I'd say.
