The room was extremely small and noisy - and we had the luxury room booked. We were at the top floor and I believe because of the type of construction we could hear the pipes contracting / spreading all night. Also, if it’s windy outside the noise is even worse... in addition, th

Excellent rooms. Ideal location for getting around the city and to the Waterfront. The owner Jeff is always around and is super nice and very helpful with anything I've needed in the 10+ times I've stayed. Great for business or leisure.

We spent 4 nights at this Lodge and we loved it. The room is spacious, the position is excellent. It is close to the Green Point Promenade and also to shops and restaurants. It is also quite close to the V&A Waterfront. Geoff, the owner, Jasmine and all the staff are friendly and

Hi Jeff We are staying with you for 5 nights late September..our very first trip to South Africa. As you are probably aware "tipping" for Australians is not a natural phenomenon, in fact some of us are a little reluctant to participate in the process. As tipping does not generally occur in Australia I am always confused when travelling overseas as the custom appears to fluctuate dramatically from continent to continent so I need to enlist your assistance so that this confused Australian does not offend individuals by under tipping nor distort the local economy by over tipping. Is a tipping surcharge automatically appended to service delivery charges..some countries just add 10% to all bills as "service charge"..and if this happens additional tipping is optional for exceptional service only... Could you please advise if tipping is REQUIRED at all and if so the MINIMUM tipping expectations for the following service delivery. ? Taxi Restaurant Porterage Bar Housekeeping Tour guides Tour drivers Any other service delivery tipping expectations. Thanking you in advance for your assistance with this challenge... Kind regards Trevor and Liz
Hi Shir, That is excellent advice. Kind regards Jeff

Gosh, I didn't even see this question until now. The answer is yes, it is safe, as you would have found out if you did in fact park there.
