The hotel has 300 fresh and stylish bedrooms; twins with 2 single beds, standards with double beds. There are also wheelchair-accessible rooms. Located on the corner of Bree and Strand Street, business and holiday travellers alike can take advantage of the hotel’s proximity to the vibrant local restaurant scene, business districts and cultural sites with the popular V&A Waterfront only minutes away. The hotel offers dedicated and secure basement parking. StayEasy’s lobby is a comfortable place to relax or work with great WiFi connectivity and business guests have access to five well-equipped conference venues. Vigour and Verve, the in-house, all-day dining restaurant serves fresh and delicious coffee, meals and snacks & the top floor gym offers great views of Table Mountain.
Very small room with 2 narrow twin beds meant there was no room or reason not to spend all our time out of the room. We had a view of Lion’s head, but it didn’t make the room more comfortable. The TV never worked. The shower had plenty of pressure, but not a dependable water temperature which fluctuated between too hot or too cold. Staff is very nice, but when the elevators were being fixed, we waited patiently in the lobby. After an hour we asked when the elevator repair would be finished the desk clerk said they had been working for some time. He never thought to tell the crowd waiting in the lobby that the elevators were working. Breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant. as were the housekeeping workers.

The entrance foyer/ reception area is well appointed as are the rooms, the latter being very basic but neat and comfortable. It falls apart when you consider the breakfast serving area, eating area and general lack of service - breakfast commences at 06h30 if I recall correctly and we went down at 08h00. Firstly the "empty" tables are stacked with plates (from other tables as well) with no one taking notice or even attempting to clean up - it is left up to you to start clearing plates etc. to another table (as people before having obviously done) in order to make place. Cutlery is another mystery as these are all on the now "stockpiled" tables. A chat to the check in person has no effect on matters as they seem indifferent. Really, a dismal breakfast affair when the hotel has so much going for it! …

Stayed twice & confirmed hotel is beyond poor in design & mgr. Rooms poorly designed & small. Booked double confirmed double & got twin. Lifts not all working & slow. Check in slow & poorly mgt even though knew a bus coming. Could not reset safe & provide a iron with in 30 min. No bar or restaurant despite signs. My feelings were shared by others on the ExPat tour.

Really disappointed. When enquiring as to why our room has not been made up by 3pm on a Sunday evening, management told us that preference is given to rooms of new guests checking in. We stayed 3 evenings for the CT marathon. Poor service guys, we expected a lot more!

Loved our stay here. So close to everything, short walk to hop on hop off bus office, which is a must do. A short/cheap taxi ride to V&A Waterfront, another must do. Staff were very helpful especially concierge who helped get us a driver for a day tour to Cape Point etc. Breakfast was good every morning and rooms great, we had a lovely view of Table Mountain. Rooftop bar and restaurant next door are very good too. Enjoyed our stay in beautiful Cape Town

Great location for city centre wandering. Very clean and modern hotel. The room was good. Parking wasn't expensive and was very convenient. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good. Sky bar in their sister hotel next door was great for evening views and a drink.

The rooms were fully booked although I confirmed 2weeks earlier. A colleague was double - booked and walked into a room whilst the occupant was asleep. Very unprofessional reception, long wait and no concierge. Definitely won't book here again!

We stayed here for 6 nights and were very pleased we chose this hotel. Its a budget hotel so you can't expect 5-star luxury but the staff are generally helpful and the breakfasts are very good. The bedrooms are fairly small with limited storage space for clothes but the bed was very comfortable. One useful benefit is that you can use the facilities (restaurant, rooftop bar, fitness area etc) of the sister hotel next door. It's just over a mile from the waterfront - about R100 in a taxi. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

I am in Cape Town for a conference and unable to stay at the hotel of my choice as they are fully booked. At the stay easy it’s been one disappointment after another since first contact. I was checked into a single room despite booking a double. The bed was so small I literally fell off with a single turn. Trust me the beds are that small. If you are over 5ft7 this is not a place for you. After putting in a complaint the next day I was moved to the double, here the sink was clogged and despite my requests was never fixed. No international Tv news channels were on offer. When prompted the reception said they would sort it out and never did. I received a similar response when I asked for a shower cap. At the Stay Easy you’ll be lucky if your call to the switch board is picked up. I never experienced that. The receptionist when we arrived was brutally honest, yes we know you booked a double but we are putting you into a single call your booking office, this happens all the time. The gym is not worth using, the pool is a pond. All true I must say. One thing one must note is that the pool and gum are not at the StayEasy but the building next door so you’ll need to leg it out of your hotel to the one next door. Finally please don’t use the vending machine I’ve lost money to it. It first work and the hotel does not have a sign to reflect that, though the door man seemed very apologetic when you don’t receive what you’ve paid for…..…

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the STAYEASY Cape Town! I highly recommend it as it is very clean, quiet in the room, comfortable and very reasonably priced! It is in the city of Cape Town, and I felt very safe where I was. Definitely recommend.
