I don't usually do self-catering accommodation unless I'm on holiday, but for this work trip, I found myself in the Four Seasons Apartment Building. Based on what the other reviews have shared, I think I may have been lucky in some respects. The apartment was/is on the 12th floor, and the view from the living room looks out directly at Table Mountain, which was gorgeous. The bed was standard, and the kitchen was basic and functional. There was also a gym and a lovely pool area on the top floor of the building. I had to remind myself that this was an apartment, and not a hotel or B&B. This meant that there were people living in the building who made it their home. This also meant that the corridor would not be as fresh-smelling as I would have liked. I certainly appreciated the central location, which enabled easy access to various places in the city. I did not appreciate being woken up at 03:00 by revellers who then spent the rest of the morning violently regretting the life choices they had made regarding tequila the night before. The simple thing is this: it's an apartment, which means that you would have to forego breakfast and room service and make provisions for those yourself. If you're anything like me, and you need to eat pretty much immediately when you wake up in the morning, then I would suggest that you make provisions for this beforehand.

Our expectations were not met. This appartment is not luxury at affordable price. Only the view is nice. There was a very bad smell in the appartment. CapeTownRocks (owners) tried to fix the drains of bath/shower but still very bad smell came out and is still in the furniture. And the smell will stay there. On the balcony there is birdpoop and there are no relaxing beds at swimmingpool so you lay on the wooden floor in the sun. The appartment is in district 6, not a very nice area. I would advise fellow travellers to seek accommodation elsewere.

Apartment was centrally located close to all the attractions.
the Apartment was functional and neat. Facilities are reasonable.
The rooms could do with airconditioning and I would suggest
The lounge needs a bigger couch.

My room wasn’t clean enough and had a musty stench. The furniture is stained with food droppings from possibly previous stays. Underneath the bed had paper wrappers and basically dirt from previous stays I’d like to believe .Even the dark pieces of furniture had a thick layer or glossy like dirt .Big nice glass windows but again dirty. The only plus was the TV worked well netflix and all And the WiFi was seamless the bathroom was surprisingly clean so that was good. Also bear in mind the site says 200 rands security is required on arrival. I think they should say this is required before keys and access details are given. Coz it’s not requested for at check in. Why not put it in the initial charge. I found this highly inconveniencing as I was trying to catch a plane and requesting access details as my flight would be arriving late. Only to be receiving an invoice for payment. This term should be stated clearly. Would I be staying here again or recommending it? Probably not. I feel you can get a much more decent place for this value.

What a disaster! Booked 2 nights with Four Seasons 1706 through Lekkeslaap in Cape Town.
We had wonderful assistance from Lekkeslaap and zero from this place.
The day before we would have checked in, we messaged Four Seasons 1706 at 12 pm. We also have sent an email. No reply from the owner as to our requests / inquiries. The following morning at 7.30 am, we messaged again and complaining about the slow response. We then had an answer that they will look into the email that we have sent, also apologising for slow response.
We the had to send two more messages to inquire what is the situation, and still await feedback. We also connected again with Lekkeslaap to follow up on the owner.
Our decision was made to not go through with our stay and requested full refund.

Someone from Four Seasons 1706 phoned us, trying to convince us to stay and also made mention that the lack of communication was inappropriate. We refused and asked full refund. Lekkeslaap then connected with us again and making mention that the owner will not do the full refund, and only half of it. Re the messages that we have sent, still no response and not even opened on watsap.
That left us with loss of finances, bad experience with this place and having to look for other accommodation.

We are thankful though to Lekkeslaap that assisted us throughout the whole process.

I´ve spent 10 days in this studio, during the world cup, and i can only say it´s excelent! Mrs. Irma Engelbrecht, from Ascott Accommodation is very professional and helpful, and made possible an early check in.
The location, in the CBD isn´t top notch, as some other places can be, in the amazing Cape Town, but it was really good for us. It´s just 3 blocks away from the Grand Parade (where happened the Fifa Fan Fest).
Four Seasons building has a stunning view from the terrace. You can work out (or swim) "watching" the beautiful Table Mountain.
The studio itself is not luxurious, but is almost fully equipped. I only wish it had air conditioning and satellite tv. Other than that, i think is just perfect for the affordable price.
Well, i just like to recommend this studio as a great budget option, and say that anybody should go to South Africa, a fantastic country with fantastic people.

Upon checking in, the unit was very different from the "fully fitted" description provided by the owners. There was one roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, no hand soap, no dishwasher detergent, no hand towels, no flat sheet for the bed.

There are better apartments and better areas to stay in.

We just had nine nights in the Four Seasons Apartment 1706 (this is the Table Mountain view). Yolanda, who met us and was our contact is excellent and I can't praise her enough for her help, advice and management of the apartments - thanks!

The apartment is still in good order with nice, simple furnishings - nothing fancy but all suited to a studio room. What makes this apartment is the view - it is stunning - all the way across one wall of glass are uninterrupted views of Table Mountain - it's brilliant.
It's a good area in some respects but can be a bit tricky at night, so ensure you have a good cab company number. Great coffee at Truth opposite and good food at Leftys and Ramen just two minutes walk from the apartment.

There is a deck on the roof with a pool - we could not use it as they were doing refurbishment/painting work the entire time we were there so all day was noisy with lots of people coming and going. Lie ins were not possible due to hammering beginning from 8am and we couldn't use our private balcony for the last two days as it was being painted. A shame we hadn't been warned - would advise the owners to let clients know out of courtesy in the future.

Two things for prospective guests to note:

(1) the wifi is not reliable at all for any context (casual or work) - I could not use it to do simple things such as order cabs via Uber, book restaurants online or check my Gmail. So do bear that in mind if you are wedded to your IT and need to keep up to date on social media etc.
(2) bring the following (or expect to buy them locally) bin bags, washing powder and dishwasher tablets. I've not had to buy such items in other Airbnbs so it was a bit of a surprise.

We stayed in this top floor penthouse studio flat for 5 nights over the Christmas period. The views of Table Mountain (see pictures I have posted) from the private balcony are unbelievable. Although it is a studio flat - bed, kitchen, lounge chairs and dining table all in one room - the room is large and because it is on the corner of the building there are views from 2 sides. There is an outdoor jacuzzi bath, which also has great views at night, and on the same floor is a roof-top swimming pool and quite a good gym.

There are some things which aren't quite perfect: when you use the shower the entire bathroom floor gets wet; the kitchen units are no of great quality and the "cooking facilities" are frankly only sufficient if you don't actually cook! Wifi was generally OK but the "sister flat" (flat 1701, which sleeps 4-6, I think) hosts the shared wifi hub and went down when they unplugged it! We rented through Air BNB and on that site other renters talked about it being in a safe neighbourhood: I would say that this depends which direction you walk in and whether you are talking day or night. Advice is to be careful, but generally OK.

A disaster
We arrived to an overwhelming stink of sewage at apartment door entrance. We were provided a can of air freshener. The bed had on set of stained sheets that you have to launder yourself. Extremely worn smelly small size pillows for a King bed. Air conditioner mounted directly above bed that blasts down on your face all night as there are no windows to open and high winds that howl 24/7 'at the top' of this building making it impossible to open doors to a completely unusable deck with cheap furniture folded and strapped to the walls.
Bathroom had no wastebasket, no soap of any kind, stained & worn toilet seat, no hand towels or washcloth's. We spent over 800 Rand at Mr.Price Home to equip the place with decent sheets, pillows, hand towels, pump soap and bar soap and a waste basket! The roof top pool is a joke and not even usable. No furniture whatsoever to sit on or lie on, and less than 'clean' looking. No pool towels. A nice view for the brief time you can tolerate standing out there due to wind. The 'fitness' centre 'scary'.
Howling wind all night that whistles loudly through bathroom fan.The apartment furniture was sparse, 1 small hard sofa with a filthy worn scratchy area rug and no living room chairs. A 'miniature' flat screen TV perched on a small plastic end table. No decor to make the space feel welcoming or inviting in any way. One small picture on one wall. No mirrors, lamps for reading, books or ottoman.
No WIFI as advertised. It did not work and this was reported.
The parking space is located on the 7th floor which is 14 spiral revolutions up the parking garage. Take some gravol before travelling up and down each time!
We stayed for 48 hours of a 9 day booking in March 2017 and received the damage deposit refund April 10. No further refund. (We donated our purchases elsewhere)
Good Luck
