Our stay at Rouge en Rose was all we could have hoped for. The property is as nice as it looks in the photos. The 24 hour staff were all super friendly and extremely helpful, the room was gorgeous and well kept, the breakfast which was delicious was served in a delightful breakfast room. It was a short walk to Long street which was a very fun shopping street and close to the Hop on Hop off bus. There were lots of fun restaurants in the area and Ubers to anywhere were very reasonably priced..

A very well located family run hotel. Perfectly positioned to enjoy the restaurants and bars of the city centre. Also walkable to the waterfront. The room was well equipped and stylish with a large bathroom with a separate shower and freestanding bath. Breakfast was made fresh to order and was a great start to the day. All of the staff were friendly and helpful - particularly Michel the owner who was there most days. Highly recommended

Rouge en Rose definitely lives up to the hype! The rooms, service and location are top notch, and the host (Michel) was always very helpful and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms were far better than those in more expensive hotels we have stayed at. In terms of value for money, this place can't be beat. The neighbourhood is very picturesque and there are a few trendy restaurants nearby. Great location for visiting all the sites in Cape Town.

This beautiful little gem of a hotel was our first stop on our gorgeous holiday in south Africa, and what a start it was . The hotel is stylish and qwerky, and a very warm welcome from Michelle and his staff made the start to our holiday perfect .The breakfast was cooked to perfection and we felt very well looked after and given lots of advice during our stay . If you're thinking of staying in cape town ,definitely book here

Loved this place from the moment we arrived. Extremely helpful staff, great location and quirky individual rooms. The Bo Kap district is often featured in Cape Town travel pictures due to its brightly coloured painted houses. The Rouge on Rose is a couple of blocks away from a number of excellent restaurants and a short walk to the Greenmarket area (for shopping). The owners Ursula and Michel were super friendly and always on hand to help or make suggestions - we felt like part of the family. The breakfast was freshly prepared to order and of a very high standard, served by the delightful Chris. The waterfront area is about a 20 minute walk away or a few minutes in an Uber (Ubers are very cheap in Cape Town) For my next visit to Cape Town, I will not be looking to stay anywhere else.

We really liked the hotel, the excellent service provided by Michel, Chris and the rest of the staff. A lot of sympathy and useful information, with excellent tips. The apartment is super spacious and well decorated. Very clean. The bath bath after a day of walking with the quality products offered is refreshing. The breakfast is delicious. Our only complaint is regarding the mattress that could have a pillow top that would make it a little softer for our particular taste. The location is central and close to great restaurants.

It was an amazing stay. Clean room, comfortable pillows and bedsheets The location around the hotel (Bo-Kaap) was fun we took photos every morning. I loved the convenience from the hotel to various parts of Cape Town streets. We mostly walked for fun along the nearby streets. I absolutely recommend this hotel and will surely book again next time we visit CapeTown😍

Avoiding the larger hotels we stayed 4 nights at Rouge and enjoyed every minute. The small size means you get to know the owners and staff really well as well as the other guests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the view out over the colourful houses spectacular. Safety in Capetown was a concern for us, but Michel and Jeunot gave us good advice - all good during day, and Ubered at night - they are pretty cheap and we could go just about anywhere central for 50-60 rand

This was our favorite hotel during our two weeks in South Africa. Room was huge, modern and definitely comfortable. We unfortunately did not meet Ursula, but Michel and his brother could not have been more helpful with suggestions for our itinerary and restaurants nightly while in Cape Town. Breakfasts were simply delicious. Bo-Kaap neighborhood is unique and close to many smaller cafes and restaurants on the edge of the Central Business District. We were able to easily park our rental car there the last night. Highly recommended, especially if you like staying in boutique hotel type properties. Make sure to request a room with a door to the bathroom if that is your preference. Some rooms have a long curved hallway, but no door, for privacy. Ubers are easy and inexpensive to reach Waterfront and other attractions.

Hello,
Yes - it has a shower. When i was there in late June there were quite stringent water restricrions so we couldnt use the tub.
Hope this answers your wuestion.

Hi there Randy
There is a masque about a block away...and yes you will hear ti in the morning as it is very quiet at that time of the morning..they chant for 3 minutes.....might I suggest if you want to be close to the city that you look at Gardens or Tamboerskloof..Enjoy your stay in the Cape Town.
Ursula
We do have double glazing in a few suites......but do understand that we are in the city and if it is peace and tranquility that you are after the CBD is not for you!
There are more places to choose from in the Cape Town Central area.
