Set in the heart of Sea Point, this house is decorated with originality and taste. Neil Rose is a wonder host who is always available to give you a tip on something. Our room was large, quiet and very comfortable; soft pillows and an excellent bed. Breakfast is delicious: you just feel at home. Bravo!

This guesthouse is top-notch, very cozy and beautiful. Neil is a great host and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They made us feel very welcomed and Neil gave us great tips/recommendations during our stay. Also a perfect location in Sea Point which is very walkable to tasty restaurants and the coast line.

Lots of helpful email traffic via Booking.com before arrival – much appreciated – thank you Because of the overnight nature of the flight I had booked the room from 31/1 so that we could get access to it from our arrival – so we bought 4 nights and stayed for 3 After our flight from UK we appreciated the warm welcome from Neil – we were shown all security measures – and after breakfast a very detailed and welcomed breakdown of eating and drinking locations locally and by the Waterfront - also walking routes - safety tips - location of hop on hop off bus stops – downloading the Eskom app for load-shedding – and uploading the Uber app We stayed in Room 7 for 4 nights – king room with a balcony - large space – entrance hall - separate sitting area with sofa and fridge – flat-screen TV - 3 windows - 2 Juliet balconies – through to large master - large comfy bed - 2 wardrobes - chest of drawers - side tables and lamps - controllable air conditioning - doors to balcony with table and chairs - relaxing area - bathroom large - separate bath and shower - latter excellent in terms of flow and control - overall a very comfortable room Breakfast cooked to order - high standard - fruits cold meats cheese plus toast on offer - indoor and outdoor dining Neil’s thorough and welcomed briefing drew attention to 6 restaurants – we ate at 4 of his recommendations - never disappointed – all offering interesting menus tasty food and good value – La Boheme (lunch and dinner) Gambas (2 dinners) La Parada (lunch) and Den Anker(lunch) There is a small pool with loungers – but did not use VCR is set in a residential area – just a short walk (less than 10 minutes) uphill from Sea Point’s main road with all its many shops and restaurants – we found the area safe to walk around at night and had no issues walking back to VCR after dinner The promenade is a further 5 minute walk away - we walked along the promenade to Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and Camps Bay – we also used the hop on hop off bus with the nearest stop being outside the Winchester Hotel Although we didn’t see the need to have a car during this stage of our trip VCR has parking spaces to its front and there are also nearby on-street spaces After our time at VCR and Sea Point – I can’t recommend both too highly - and I feel good that I chose a winner based on Trip Advisor and Hotel website - we would return Thank you everyone - Neil and Rob - Phumesa and Gloria - who contributed to our stay – thank you …

It was my 5th visit at villa Costarose ( after 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017) and it is as good as it was. The hosts Neil and Rob are superb owners ready to give you all advices you need. the gusthouse is located in Seapoint in a very safe area with a lot of restaurants and bars. Thx a lot for all and see you again for a next stay

Loved our stay and will definitely be back. Huge rooms, the most comfortable bed, superb location. Location is really close to shops, restaurants, beach, everything you need. Safe to walk even at night as close to main road which is unusual for cape town and really great. Host takes time to give you plenty of recommendations for some really fantastic restaurants which are all super close. Had some our best meals from our 3 week stay on south africa right on the doorstep. Hope to return!!

What a wonderful experience, the perfect balance between a bed and breakfast and a place that feels like home. It's cozy and quaint and yet there is adequate privacy. The bed was soooooooooo comfortable my goodness and the layout of the room was just perfect. The breakfast in the morning was just too divine and Neil and his staff made me feel like I was home! I will definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Great place to stay in Cape Town. Within walking distance of the seafront and some great local restaurants. Walkable to the waterfront. A fabulous little oasis in the city pretty garden, lovely rooms and delightful staff.

Villa Costa Rose is situated in Sea Point, a suburb which is in between the City of Cape Town and Camps Bay, basically in the middle of everything. We advise guests that car hire in really not necessary as you can safely walk in the area, we have great restaurants and a beautiful sea front promenade. Villa Costa Rose is a great place to stay in Cape Town. Located in Seapoint it is close to good restaurants and the seafront. The rooms are clean, extremely comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is rich and lovingly prepared. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us an excellent support by organizing e.g. a rented car or Safari. We can recommend Villa Costa Rose without exception.

Garden room extremely comfortable and quiet. Delicious breakfast on the terr ace served by very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurants in the vicinity, within walking distance. Great advice from Neil and Sophie. Would definitely recommend.
