Two friends and I stayed at Gap Lodge for six nights and it truly felt like "home". LeRoi and Linda were absolutely the best hosts. We were warmly welcomed and LeRoi immediately grabbed our bags and carried them upstairs to our rooms. The rooms were very well planned and had wonderful nice little touches. Breakfast was great and always served at the agreed upon time. The location was great -- quiet but still convenient to points of interests. I will probably return to Cape Town next year and the Gap is my first choice for my next stay in Cape Town.

Comfortable room, good size bathroom and very tasty breakfast included, hosts helpful with advice and information on Cape Town. A "fair" walk into city centre but "handy " for walks up and around Table Mountain.

We stayed at this great B&B for the second time for two weeks.

Location
The Gap Logde is located between Gardens and Tamboerskloof. It is perfect for reaching downtown, Camps Bay, and the table mountain. The trendy Kloof street is only a few minutes walk away.

Accommodation
The Gap Lodge is a small and cosy B&B with only a few rooms. The lodge and the rooms are furnished very stylish and elegant. Apart from the rooms there is a shared terrace where you can have breakfast in the morning. We loved to sit there and enjoy our breakfast. The breakfast contained of fruits, yoghurt, cereals, toasts, excellent jams, and juice. Freshly brewed coffee and freshly made hot breakfast is served by the hosts. Especially the hot breakfast looked and tasted amazing every single time.

The hosts
Linda, Le Roi, and Dominique are perfect hosts. They made us feel welcome and at home every day. They had always great ideas and hints for restaurants and activities. For example there was a 10k running event at century city in which one of us took part. It was a very nice and attentive suggestion because the hosts noticed that one of us was running every morning.

All in all, we are very happy with the Gap Lodge and hopefully we can come back soon!

I stayed for 2 days at The Gap Lodge. It is literally at the bottom of Table Mountain and has beautiful views of Cape Town. Fuss-free and easy to feel at home. I was hardly around during the day and went out til late but for a B&B the exclusivity is almost like a hotel's, you can come and go as you please.

I recently stayed at Gap Lodge and what a great experience!!! The hosts, Le Roi and Linda, are wonderful and made me feel at home right away. The location is excellent; close to the Waterfront and going up Table Mountain; which are two of the main attractions in Cape Town. Le Roi is a tour guide and very knowledgeable about places to see in the area. He can take you on a variety of breathtaking tours in and around Cape town. The breakfasts are delicious and can be taken on the patio with wonderful views of the garden. As to other visitors complaining about TV channels; it did not bother me at all; I was there to see Cape Town and nót to watch TV. The room and en-suite bathroom was clean and nicely decorated and I had more than enough space for all my luggage. Compared to other B&B's and hotels in the area, it was excellent value for money and I had money left to spend on tours to the main attractions in Cape Town and the awesome vineyards nearby. I can highly recommend Gap Lodge to everyone!!! You'll definitely see me again soon!!!

This guesthouse is great! Gap Lodge is centrally located with beautifully furnished rooms and impeccable service. The owners, Linda and Le Roi, are extremely helpful and friendly and they provided me with everything I needed while I was working in Cape Town, including driving directions, free WiFi and a delicious breakfast every morning. The overall atmosphere is great. Truly a home away from home. I highly recommend Gap Lodge. Can't wait to stay there again!

Hello and thank you for this question. You would park in the street in front of the lodge. That's what all our guests do and up to now it's been perfectly safe. Hope this answers your question and we would happily answer any other questions you might have.
