Great location for the Seafront at Sea Point. Easy access to great eateries and coffee shops. Proprietors provide very helpful advice for cyclists. No issues about cycle security and storage. Good access to Table Mountain and cycling there.

As the first stop on our trip, Welda made us feel incredibly welcome and at home at the guesthouse and in Cape Town. The location is central and a good base to explore the rest of Cape Town from. The suite was very comfortable and well-appointed. Will certainly stay here again on future trips!

Welda was incredibly welcoming and really made this place special. She helped us make plans during our three night visit in Cape Town. Everything is in close walking distance and we felt incredibly safe in the area. The Guest House was very clean and we enjoyed the breakfast very much, especially the fresh avocados. Very much recommended for a great stay in Cape Town!

Traveled to Cape Town for Cape Argus Cycle Event. Very friendly and helpful owners. Exceptionally accommodating to cyclists with regards to cycle storage and local information pertaining to cycling. Nice breakfasts prepared by friendly staff. Lots of local amenities close by in Sea Point. Only down point is local electricity shortages, not at control of Guesthouse.

Phillip and Welda were very welcoming and really make this place special. Welda helped us plan and making the best use of our time in Cape Town. We did find that diverse eateries, etc. were a close walking distance and that the main streets are security patrolled for safety. We even went running several times while we stayed there, ending up at Camp's Bay for lunch, etc. The Guest House was a Bed & Breakfast type of experience, we met other guests at breakfast but also had privacy. Check out Mojo Market if you are a group that like to eat at different places in a casual atmosphere with live music in the evenings.

We stayed two nights in this guest house and thoroughly recommend it. Clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was extensive and good quality. Philip kept an eye on us, checking how we were doing and making recommendations, as needed. Highly recommended.

Recently stayed in this wonderful guest house within walking distance of many different thing e.g. restaurants, sightseeing. Clean and cared for rooms with a healthy breakfast included. It is wonderful to come back after a day out and have a clean room where you can relax.

I spent three nights here recently as a single traveler, and could not have been more pleased by my selection. Welda and Philip were gracious and friendly, offering advice about restaurants in their Sea Point neighborhood, and even arranged a taxi for me when my phone didn't cooperate. The room was great, with a very comfortable bed and spacious en suite. The daily breakfast was outstanding, and prepared to order, and served in a lovely courtyard. The location was convenient, and I wouldn't hesitate to return to stay here. If you're looking for top-notch hospitality in an intimate setting, you can't do better than Cape Nelson.

We stayed in Cape town for 4 nights. Welda, the hostess met us on arrival. She helped us with our itinerary in Cape town (what to see, when to go). We met her every morning at breakfast table and discussed our daily plans with her. Our room on the second floor was spacious and meticulously clean. We had a kichenette, a sofa, a big comfortable bed and a great view from the window.. We chose this particular location so as not to drive (the car was parked by the guest house) and be able to reach all sights by public transport (driving on the left in a hectic city is a true challenge). The location is very safe even in dark hours. We chose to use a hop on hop off double decker for 3 days. Its stop is a 5 min walk from the guest house. Another pro is a close proximity to a number of restaurants (Italian, Asian, local). A refreshing walk on the seafront every morning and evening was the third advantage. Once we walked all way from Albert and Victoria waterfront to the guest house (up to 5 kilometres). If ever again in Cape town, we will not hesitate to book the same guest house.

We stayed there for 3 nights in January 2018, as a couple with a teenage child. It was a lot better than expected: great beds, very clean and has a really friendly host. The breakfast was again really good, with eggs cooked the way you wanted, bacon, different spreads, fresh orange juice, etc. It's up a hill, but not the worst climb.
