I’ve been truly fortunate enough to have traveled the world. And been to many exciting places. However, I can count on one hand the amount of hotels that have elevated the destination experience to TOP-notch memorable. The Glen Boutique Hotel and Spa in Cape Town, S. Africa has brought it to a whole new level. First, let me mention the impeccable 6 star experience the staff constantly provides to each guest. That attentive service is always carried with warm smiles. The hotel provides a lovely spa where you can indulge in a hot tub, steam bath or dry sauna session followed by a pampered massage or body scrub. To energize the first part of your day, the Glen provides a wonderful full breakfast including warm dishes (eggs, omelettes, full English breakfast (aka a hearty American breakfast), including fresh baked French pastries, yogurts, fresh fruit, coffees and teas and freshly squeezed juices. While relaxing by the pool, the staff continue to cater to its guests with cocktails and snacks (additional charge but certainly worth it). And if you are eager to venture on a tour in or around the surrounding Cape Town area (including visiting some of the world renowned vineyards/wineries), the staff is more than willing to customize a tour package that suits your schedule and needs. If you want to make your trip to Cape Town the best of the best, please stay at The Glen Boutique Hotel and Spa.

A kind thank you to Mark and the team (including Takunda, Maggie, Jayden, Jason, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and everyone else who contribute to the 6 stars). Well done.

Pros: located in beautiful High Point section of Cape Town. Quick 15 minute Uber ride to Victoria & Alfred waterfront (stores, shopping galore). Hotel area has fantastic restaurants nearby or if you don’t want to venture out have a great dinner at the hotel. Rooms are always spotless with warm candles, fruit and fluffy towels. Pool area has sufficient amount of lounge chairs around the infinity pool. Spa has couples or solo treatments. Steam bath and sauna is available to all guests.

Cons: Having to return home after a wonderful stay.

This little hotel is an absolute gem. An oasis of calm in the midst of the city. It’s a short taxi(Uber) ride from the V and A and has restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was divine sitting on a lovely terrace by the pool and we ate there one evening too. The decor is beautiful and our room , though small , was very comfortable. They have secure private parking but we hadn’t collected the car so they stored our golf clubs in the luggage room to save space in our bedroom. Honestly nothing could have been nicer. We loved the whole place and its gorgeous diversity. All the staff deserve a special mention. They were all delightful.

Our family spent 4 nights at the Glen Boutique Hotel. By far the best hotel we've stayed at in a long time. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed from the cleanliness of the entire hotel to the eclectic decor, great value added services including but not limited to bed turn down & chocolates in the evening, spa offering, quaint fully stocked bar, 24 hour dining, room service & secure onsite parking. It would be remiss of us not to mention the friendly, engaging yet professional staff who cater to your every whim. The entire team is extraordinary with standards way beyond anything we have experienced. Our stay was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Mark for hosting us and we would highly recommend this extraordinary place to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Since returning from our 7th or 8th trip to Cape Town including staying at The Glen... we have given some thought to why we keen going back. This is why:

In the heart of Cape Town's embrace,
Lies a retreat of unparalleled grace,
The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa, a name so sweet,
A haven where luxury and comfort meet.

Nestled in the city's vibrant breast,
A place where weary souls find rest,
Its walls whisper tales of soothing peace,
In its halls, all troubles cease.

Rooms that speak of elegance refined,
With views that captivate the mind,
Each corner, a meticulous design,
Where beauty and serenity align.

The spa, a sanctuary of tranquil bliss,
Where skilled hands mend with a gentle kiss,
Aromas that dance in the serene air,
Bringing solace from worldly care.

Cuisine that tantalises the taste,
A gourmet journey, no haste,
Flavours that sing a harmonious song,
In The Glen, taste buds belong.

The staff, with smiles so warm and true,
Guide you gently, as good friends do,
Their kindness, a soothing balm,
In their presence, a peaceful calm.

By the pool, under the sun's golden ray,
Time seems to sweetly slip away,
In these waters, worries dissolve,
In its embrace, life's puzzles solve.

The Glen, more than a mere stay,
A nurturing journey in every way,
A memory that fondly lingers on,
Long after the moment is gone.

In this oasis of serene delight,
Every detail is just right,
The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa, a treasure so rare,
A nurturing holiday beyond compare.

With our heartfelt thanks, Julian and Lloyd xx

The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa felt just like home the minute I walked into the front door. Mark and his staff were welcoming, charming, accommodating and attentive.

The location is very central, with secure parking and incredible views of Cape Town from the balcony of the room that I had booked (Deluxe Room 23). This is a very comfortable, modern, spacious, bright and clean room.

I always looked forward to my breakfasts, which were so delicious. And the scrumptious dinner, that I had ordered in my room on my first night, was also excellent. Kudos to the amazing chef for always satisfying my grumbling stomach!

I enjoyed my conversations and interactions with Mark and his staff. Everyone always had a smile on their faces, come gusting wind or rain! In the end, I was so sad to leave because everyone felt just like family to me. This is a place that I would definitely come back to stay over and over again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Glen between 24th - 29th September and will definitely be returning on my next trip to South Africa.

It is an absolutely stunning hotel located in a prime location in Seapoint, Cape Town - just a short drive away from the city’s main attractions.

While it’s beautifully designed and the facilities are top notch, the highlight of the trip was by far the team.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warmest of smiles and instantly felt welcomed. Throughout my stay, the Glen family went above and beyond to provide a friendly and comforting atmosphere as well as making sure all my needs were met.

They were always on hand for a chat or to supply recommendations on the best activities available in the city.

The people, the food and the tours all helped to make my holiday the trip of a lifetime.

I was truly sad to leave and can’t wait to come back.

This was our first time in Cape Town although we have travelled extensively. The Hotel had been recommended to us as we prefer to stay in smaller boutique hotels when we travel. We were delighted with our experience at The Glen and would highly recommend it. All of the staff were superb in terms of friendliness, attentiveness, and helpfulness. They all seemed to remember our names within a day. They also seemed to work well as a team, and to enjoy working with each other. The food was great at every meal, nicely presented as well as a good novel variety for a small establishment. Our room was lovely. Very comfortable, clean, and bright with a good size deck overlooking the pools. We also took advantage of their web site link to private tours for two days, and the Hotel arranged for our driver/guide Mele. He was absolutely superb and very reasonably priced. The Sea Point area is beautiful and quiet, with only a two block walk to the beachfront, and a short < 10 minute Uber ride to the Waterfront and CBD. We felt the Hotel was very good value for a luxury boutique hotel.

Warm welcome by the staff, we were offered a welcome drink during checkin and luggage was brought immediately to the room. The terrace and pool all in a very nice setting. Nice big cushions on the poolchairs. The staff is very friendly and wants to please in every request, and always a big smile. Very nice and comfortable rooms, lots of space for clothes. The mattress was the best i slept on since years. The breakfast was just amazing, the freshly made granola bowls and fresh fruit are delicious. Warm breakfast can be ordered at the table.
we booked a tour to Cape Point, Boulders beach, Muizenberg, Kalk bay,Chapmans Peak from the hotel. Our driver Jason was amazing, very good driver and professional. He gave a lot of information during the tour and adjusted timings to our wish. Can highly recommend the tour and ask for jason as your driver, you wont be disappointed. He is a real asset to the hotel, as all the staff. They are simply amazing and make the Glen Boutique Hotel a highly recommended place to stay during your visit in Cape Town. Next time we go back, it will be the Glen for sure!

We stayed for a month at the Glen and what an amazing experience we had. All the staff, lead by Mark, are simply the best. They go out of their way to get to know you and ensure your every need is met. Our Suite (15) was gorgeous, spacious and our own terrace with sun beds and lounge chairs. You are in a little oasis on the outskirts of Cape Town with Ubers easily accessible and at little cost to get you where you need to go.
The poolside attendants can’t do enough for you, the breakfast service sublime and they even have gin cocktails late afternoon for you to sample.
If you are visiting Cape Town/Sea Point, you must stay here - a truly memorable experience, thank you to everyone for looking after us so well - we will be back!!

For our first trip to South Africa this March, we started with 3 nights in Cape Town, staying at this excellent hotel in Sea Point. Sea Point itself is a good neighborhood, and we found it very convenient to everywhere. The hotel was very good, with excellent, helpful staff, convivial owner (Mark), and a well-appointed room (stayed in suite 1) with a wonderful balcony. A couple of points for improvement: while the breakfasts were first-rate, the dinners were hit&miss (the Salmon was the best). Also, I’d say it’s time to replace the mattress in the room, though I realize bed softness is highly subjective. Either way, none of this detracted from a 5-star experience, and very good value for money. We would happily stay at the hotel again.

We are currently not affected by the water crisis but are doing everything we can to conserve water in the hotel. The water is due to be affected in May, but this is not certain. We will keep our guests updated on our Facebook page as well as on Trip Advisor.
