This lovely boutique hotel was such a find in Cape Town. Shelly was absolutely fabulous during our stay and we felt so safe and comfortable here. Easy walking distance to V&A waterfront, easy parking and well places to walk to local restaurants and a supermarket. The rooms are clean and so comfortable, and the poolside is lovely on a sunny day. The breakfast is wonderful, plenty of options and also a cooked breakfast if you wish. The communication during booking with the hotel was simple and easy and they were kind enough to hold some luggage for us while we went on safari. So pleased we stayed here, and thank you Shelly for making our stay extra great.

We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful boutique hotel… The location was perfect being walking distance from the waterfront and everyone working there was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were fabulous and the wine in the room was perfect… Shelley and Serafina were amazing hosts and we could not have asked for anything more. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful hotel & experience we had at this boutique hotel. On arrival, the welcome we received from Shelly was truly warming & caring. She has such a big heart & she couldn’t do enough for us! We felt at home from the moment we arrived until the day we had to unfortunately leave. We had initially only booked two nights but later returned the following week for a further two nights, this was not only down to the attentiveness of Shelly & her huge personality, but also the quiet & calmness of the place. The staff were outstanding, always thinking one step ahead. The cleanliness throughout the hotel & rooms were spotless compared to other hotels we stayed at in South Africa during our trip. The breakfast was wonderful. The choice of food was outstanding, especially for a vegetarian, nothing was too much trouble. We felt very safe & secure, with the added benefit of feeling so relaxed. I hope we can return sometime soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in the Pool room which was big and roomy with a nice big bathroom. There are only 10 rooms in the hotel so it never feels busy. 2 pool areas. We were by the main one. The pool is small so don’t book this place if you want to do laps, but if you just want to have a dip/paddle it’s perfect. And it’s so pretty. Shelley looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was wonderful. Location is good as you are 5-min drive from V&A waterfront but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Thanks for a great stay and we would definitely go back if in Cape Town again.

This hotel is such a gem. Tucked away on residential streets in Green Point, it is close to so many parts of Cape Town (Camps Bay, V&A Waterfront, city centre), but is quiet and safe. There is always staff on hand to assist every wish or need. Shelly was brilliant - her service was impeccable and she really looked after us. We arrived just before the Omicron variant was announced and so we spent days sitting out in the beautiful terrace researching flights. We even checked out and had to return after we were not allowed on the flight, and Dysart happily took us back (they hadn't given away our room and made us fresh sheets and towels the next day as we had to stay an extra day). We had to work one day there and the team kept us going with lunch and multiple coffees - nothing was too hard for them. I wish we had had more time spent by the pool and less on our laptop, because it would have been wonderful to relax there as it was very tranquil. The art and design of the hotel is really fun. We received great restaurant recommendations and were always able to get an Uber within 3 minutes of calling, so it was really easy to get around. We had a great time. Many thanks Dysart for taking care of us at a very stressful time.

We arrived in C/T as a family group of 9 just as the Omicron announcements were breaking. This left everyone stressed as the news of flight cancellations became a reality, but this little hotel, from its owners down, did everything they could to help us. They provided such a warm, friendly and caring environment from the lovely, spacious rooms to the wonderful Shelly who was on top of our every need. I cannot speak highly enough of the team. Every member was so nice and helpful. The hotel itself is great. Split over two adjoining buildings each with a pool and eclectic art work. Close to the city, but in a quiet, safe residential area. The rooms are a good size and all individual, breakfast my favorite time of day with Shelly and Phina taking care of our every whim. Thank you Frank, you have a lovely hotel and just the best team. We cannot recommend the hotel enough. Good luck to our new friends at the Dysart.

Overall, Dysart Boutique Hotel is very good as long as you don't expect it to be a luxury hotel with a lot of amenities. First, the location is great: centrally located in the Green Point neighborhood which has plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Additionally, it is a short drive/uber to Sea Point, Camps Bay, V&A Waterfront, and CBD. There is a supermarket and liquor store within a 5 min walk, along with a great breakfast spot, Jason's Bakery. Additionally, the staff is wonderful and go out of your way to make sure everything is wonderful. Shelly is great at the front desk, and wants you to enjoy your stay. She even ironed clothes for us because the rooms do not have irons. The hotel provides breakfast included in the stay, but we did not take advantage so I cannot comment on it. Also, there are 2 pools. One overlooking the neighborhood as an "infinity type" and a small plunge pool. There is ample lounge seating around the pools. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room "XXL" and it was huge along with a private patio. The toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom, there was a sitting area, and a king size bed. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower, tub, and two sinks. The bed was comfy and the pillows were solid. The negatives of the place are that it still uses keys and there are multiple keys for the front door, room door, patio door, etc. Additionally, you have to use a key to get out, not just in. In the day and age where things are automated or on a key card, this was frustrating. Also, the place doesn't have a generator and is at the mercy of Cape Town's rolling blackouts (The city is divided into a big grid and depending on the time of year there are multiple blackouts for 2 hours at a time). If the weather is very hot, you will be without air conditioning. If you need to use a hair dryer or straightener in the morning and the power is out then, you will be without that. Etc. This was not disclosed up front and I think if you are a 5 star hotel guests should be aware that there is potential for multiple hours every day that the power will be out. Suggestion to make sure you check the power situation before booking or know that you will be okay without power at times. Overall, the stay was pleasant and we had no issues. Just that there are some things to be aware of that I wanted to share to potential guests.

My wife and I made this hotel our first stop in a 3 week tour of the Western Cape (Garden Route). We were surprised by the quality of the property. We had the XXL room with garden. The room was huge and exceptionally clean. The aircon works perfectly. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to Martin Vermeulen, an extremely pleasant gentleman who really helped us find great restaurants and points of interest. The hotel is quite small and is tucked away in a quiet street in Green Point, a very safe area about a 20 min walk from the V&A Waterfront. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good. There is nothing to criticise, you get what is you see on the websites. Having spoken with some of the patrons we learned that they return year after year. Very highly recommended.

We only spent one night here before flying home but agreed it would make a fab base for a longer stay. The area appeared very safe and quiet yet you could walk easily in about 15 mins to the Waterfront area. Our room was very stylish and comfortable and had a lovely little patio overlooking the pool surrounded by bougainvillea. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A great choice all round.

A little concerned on the location and the appearance of the venue on arrival but once we were settled in “Boutique Hotel” summed it up exactly. Just a little bit away from the norm’ and actually two houses making up the Hotel with two pools, Great. The host Dennis is without doubt the most attentive, helpful and charming host I have ever meet.......he is the Dysart Boutique. Breakfast was of a good standard and mixed between self-service and good cooked food prepared to order. Room was of a good standard and well equipped and definitely of a Boutique style.
