My son was robbed in Capetown and taken to the Holiday Inn Express. his phone and his money were taken . Thankfully he was taken to this hotel. My thanks go to Sophilene Fisher the senior duty manager who kept in touch with me constantly and after a four days stay, printed off the airline ticket and London coach ticket which I forwarded on to her. She then arranged a car to the airport for my son. Also asking me to let her know when he safely returned home If ever I visit Capetown I will surely stay at this hotel.if only to thank the staff for their help.
We stayed here for 4 nights from Jun 6 to Jun 10. Overall it is a good place to stay, centrally located and well connected. There are markets and restaurants nearby for all purposes. You can try the Eastern Food Bazaar for lunch or dinner. The breakfast spread was nice with almost every variety, loved their flavoured yoghurt, specially the cape fruit flavour. The staff is polite and helpfull. This hotel serves only breakfast, there are no other restaurants in the hotel for lunch or dinner or snacks however the bar is open until 11.30 pm. We arrived at the hotel early and had to wait for an hour for our room as it was not ready. Make note that they do not provide drinking water so you have to purchase them every day. They help to warm your food for dinner if you purchase from outside and want to eat in the room and also provide you with plates and cutlery. Considering the price as a budget hotel our stay was nice. …
.....what impressed me most was how tremendously naturally friendly and helpful all staff were I met. And with a good sense of humour as well..... From the doorman who parked my car safely to the F/O staff who actually provided for accommodation per my requests on the highest floor. A room which was very clean and lacking nothing for a short stay. A Breakfast with a smile and nothing Express like. The location might not be the best but the rates are. I extended. Well done Management & team which could set examples for many others who charge much more but in the process forgot to SMILE.......
Enjoyed tremendously our 5-night stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Cape Town City Center! Everything about it was great, including (and especially) the staff, the central location, and the breakfast! Clean and comfortable room with a nice view of Table Mountain. The staff were so helpful on every level - truly an underrated gem… we’ll be back!
We spent 10 lovely days at this hotel. The free daily breakfast was very diverse and particularly tasty. The hotel is close to all major attractions and easily accessible. Though it is next to long street we felt very safe. Our flight back home was at 2 am and the lovely staff had prepared a breakfast box for us for the airport. We couldn’t have a better stay. Thanks to all the Holiday Inn team 😉👍🏽
Holiday Inn Express Cape Town City Centre Clean rooms excellent staff. We thought the neighborhood at night was not very safe. There are many public safety officers patrolling the area and we never had a problem. The breakfast is not the world’s best and the ladies serve you. For a HIE it was decent and sufficient. When we checked in we were given a slip for breakfast. We were told only two times for breakfast 8-8:45 or 9-9:45. We were given a slip for 8am breakfast but breakfast is actually served from 6:30am onward. So we never understood the reason for the breakfast slip??? At first this created a problem with our tour pick up time. If you have a problem the hotel does provide breakfast to go. The people at the front desk Sophilene and Maria were very friendly and helpful. They made the arrangements for us to get the required Covid test to return to the USA. The hotel does not provide water and the vending machine to buy water was broken. We bought water at the market around the corner. When we return to Cape Town we would stay here again.…

Really good location on the center of Cape Town. The rooms are comfortable and they offered a great free breakfast. The hotel staff were really nice and helped us with any questions about what to do in Cape Town. I will recommend this hotel if you want to stay on the city center. I dont recommend to walk around the city center at night
Perfect Location in the city centre. Amazing sun drenched roof and the staff are just amazing. cant wait to visit you guys again. we stayed for extra days instead of moving to another hotel as this hotel had every thing we need and more.
good quality in return for value! i always opt for a chain managed hotel so that i can guarantee a certain level of cleanliness, toiletries, towels, bed sheets etc.. a simple modern decor for an express level of hotel in its chain. staff at the reception were a little bit clumsy at checkin but the African spirit wins at the end. lovely people and very helpful sent us to refresh and shower at the gym until our room was ready and guided us to good tour operators throughout our stay and made us some restaurant bookings. too bad i didn't catch any names, but thank you!
