Detailed Reviews
This is a delightful oceanside hotel, and it's a
spectacular jump off point for anyone interested in hiking the Kasteelspoort route to the top of Table Mountain. The trailhead is within 50 ft. of the hotel's front door.
The rooms are spacious; the shower is top of the line, and the staff is both fun and very professional. They went the extra mile for me, loading my room refrigerator with a fruit salad and juice breakfast the night before the hike, so I could get started before dawn without missing a beat

At seastar rocks you can find a second home!
We had a very warm welcome and everybody ist so friendly and helpful. We had a huge room, with a big cozy bed and a open bathroom. From our terrace we could enjoy a perfect view over the sea, beach and lions head!
Minibar and a good bottle of white and red wine is included so that you can enjoy a perfect sundowner on your own terrace.
We also got nice recommendations for restaurants including reservation and transfer Organisation.
The breakfast buffet is made with a lot of love and you will find everything you need: musli, juice, yoghurt, fresh bread and croissants, Marmelade, cheese, fresh fruits,... And you can order specialities e.g. Eggs Benedict with salmon, fresh waffles with fruits...
That's more we could have asked for a perfect start!!
A big thank you to everybody who made our stay so comfortable!
We are looking forward to visit you again,
Kind regards from the cold and rainy Germany jil

This October I stayed at the Sea Star Rocks in Camps Bay. A fantastic accomodation with a great view over Camps Bay, lovely pool and the rooms are of excellent standards with good wifi and both bathtubs as well as showers. Great breakfast and excellent service. What was most significant to me was the warmth and hospitality of both the owner and the staff, making me feel right at home and accomodate my stay in every way possible.
A huge thank you to your personal approach and I would recommend everyone to bath yourself in the warmth and luxury of Sea Star Rocks!

We stayed 3 nights on our honeymoon and were very impressed with the view and the room. However, it is simply not 5 star accommodation. The majority of the bottled water smelt awful, it was like Russian roulette whether it was drinkable or not, when we informed the staff of this, absolutely nothing was done and didn't seem to care. Whilst breakfast was good, it was very slow service, we would recommend allowing a good hour all in. They told us that if we provided 4 hours notice that they would heat the hot tub. We asked 3 times and not once were we able to use it as the cover was on and locked.
We were also very concerned with the lack of security given the efforts that people have gone to on all neighbouring properties. The staff are all gone by 5pm at the latest so really felt like we were by ourselves and was attuned to an AirBNB rather than a hotel/ guesthouse. No one informed us about load shedding (power outages) which led to issues as we didn't have WiFi to book taxis/ Ubers, when we asked for help to book one the receptionist asked 'do you not have data?!' this felt unhelpful as tourists.
Despite the above, we still gave 3 stars as it is a lovely building in a great location with fantastic views. Just more care and attention needs putting in to the guests.

The location sets Sea Star Rocks apart from the typical stay in Camps Bay. Perched high enough to give the best views in Camps Bay and directly opposite Table Mountain hiking trail, one feels spoilt for choice. Adri and Fikile made us feel most welcomed in their beautiful boutique hotel. Thanks to George for assisting us with all the little extras.

This is a first time review on trip advisor. My sister and I were in SA when the UK announced closure of it boarders and new PCR and hotel quarantine measures. We were staying with sea rocks when our flights were cancelled with no hope of returning to the UK. Candice and her team have literally taken us in under their care. No issue was big enough to tackle. Candice liaised with drs for testing, available to print and complete documents. Make calls to officials. Our stay was extended and reassurance given at every single point. We could not of asked anymore for the greatest support and security from this team at such a stressful and upsetting period. They go above and beyond at every level. The hotel itself is just wonderful. If I have to to be stuck anywhere in SA then it’s here. The accommodation is paradise. It’s modern and plush with all mod cons but hasn’t lost its personal and private cosy feel. The view is stunning stretching over the mountain side and beaches below. The cleanliness is exceptional. Our holiday has taken a terrible turn of events and we are unsure of how and when we can return to the uk… but we have found a home and support network here with Candice and her team. This is a definite must for anyone wanting to stay in the beautiful camps Bay Area. Thank you Candice. The owners and employers of sea rocks should be very proud in the team and the culture they have established here. Thank you will ever be enough

+1
The hotel was supposed to be 5 star but was dirty, unhelpful staff, not very safe anyone could just walk in, the breakfast was foul and the room was sub-standard. The hotel is unstaffed most of the time. We had problems with the toilet running constantly, towels that looked like they were for cleaning the floor, mould, broken air con, the list goes on! Five months later, lots of lots of emails and calls and management have still not responded. We left our honeymoon early I could not bear the hotel any longer. We were put into this hotel by another 5 star hotel we had booked that had a fire and were then told it was non-refundable. It was the only one locally with availability which tells you something! We had waited months for this trip and this hotel ruined the whole experience. We asked to have part of the stay refunded so we could leave and have another room and nothing was done. Do not stay here. Everyone was complaining and nobody ate the breakfast near us, every morning someone was complaining it was so so bad!

I stayed at Sea Star Rocks for just one night, but wish it had been longer. The hotel organised my transfer from the airport for me and then upon arrival informed that they had upgraded me free of charge to a more superior room. The room was fantastic and the view just amazing. They were also kind enough to book a restaurant for me for dinner that night which was extremely helpful for someone travelling alone. I would certainly want to return here should I ever come back to Cape Town

This is an Excellently ran hotel / guest house in a superb luxurious building located with epic views over camps bay and lions head. - if you’re looking for a hotel room with the best views in the world, it might just be this place.
The staff are really lovely and provided a delicious breakfast to order every day, helped us book tours and kept our room comfy and spotlessly clean.
Location is a good base for Cape Town - Ubers get you everywhere you need to go for a good price.
Worth noting the pool is not heated and therefore now always warm enough to use. I loved the honesty bar and choice of wines - which we enjoyed in our room and in the hot tub!

Sorry would t know
Dear Mkrubeena,
Yes we do. Our Private Pool Rock Suite with its 60 square metre plus 50 sqm private terrace including a 3 x 4-meter private swimming pool.
Hi Steffie82,
Their is a bus station nearby of 10-15 min walking distance. Please note that the tickets for the bus can only be bought at a main bus station or down at the beach in Camps Bay at one of the ticket offices. It is very steep and curvy roads with a bicycle it is rather tough to come back up. Down no problem.
Hope this information helps you a bit further.
