Stayed in the Penthouse. View of ocean and mountains from your private terrace is AMAZING! Penthouse is huge. The shower may give you pause because it "feels" open to outside but the windows are frosted adequately. Didn't use the jacuzzi wish I would have. Nice walk to waterfront but it is not flat. View from dining area is amazing as well

We had a wonderful stay at the Living Hotel Lion's Eye. Our room was lovely. We stayed in the Atlantic room and had an amazing view of the sea and Camps Bay area. You could see the view from the shower and bath too which was cool. The rooms were well looked after and had good facilities. The hotel itself was also fantastic - breakfast was great with lots of choice. There is an lovely lounge area with an honesty bar which is really nice to have and then food is available from 12 - 9. We had the Phili Cheese steak sandwich which was AMAZING. Definitely do plan to have a meal here if you can! The trip was part of our honeymoon and the staff made us feel so special. They decorated our room and gave us some treats. It really added to our stay. The best bit for me was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Kalin in particular was so accommodating to us and really looked after us. Calvin also helped make our stay extra special. It's a small hotel so the staff really look after you well. The hotel itself is a short walk to Camps Bay and close to the tourist hot spots so great from that perspective too. Definitely stay here if you're in the area!!

Not only is this place located within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, bars, it overlooks the bay with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the room is huge and very clean. Laundry is free, as is breakfast, and bottled water is offered for your excursions.

I ended up proposing to my now fiancé in the Lion's Head room overlooking the ocean and Lion's Head on the balcony. The staff were very helpful and organised a romantic experience in the room with rose petals, chocolates, flowers, and a platter with high quality champagne and food. The staff were also very friendly and helpful when we had questions about Cape Town and Camps Bay. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool overlooking the ocean with a cocktail in hand. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!

We spent 3 nights here in Feb: the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless and a good size and I’ve never had so much storage space in a hotel room (great for us as we’d been away for 11 days at this point and had a lot of luggage). There was free bottled water everywhere in the hotel and fruit in the rooms; the mini bar was well-stocked when we arrived and everything in it was complimentary (although not replenished). Some minor points (which is why I’m not giving a 5* review): When we arrived, one of the guests was cooking a stir-fry in the kitchen; this made it feel a bit more like a youth hostel than a luxury boutique hotel, although the communal spaces were quite spacious (if there had been a large group of people cooking inside and sitting downstairs, I’d have found that very odd-putting!) The breakfast was a little haphazard: while the staff were very pleasant, there was no juice one day, no bread the next (I understand about the difficulties with load-shedding but this was more of a basic problem with supplies). The pool wasn’t very clean: this was a shame as we sat out on the terrace two days running and even if we didn’t want to swim, it would’ve been nice to sit around an inviting pool. The view from the terrace was terrific. Having said all that, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel was in a good location for walking into and out of Camps Bay (we’ve stayed in a few guest houses there and some require a very steep walk back!)

This was incredible. Wherever you sit, stand, lay…. You got the view! This boutique hotel fulfills every wish you might possible have. The staff is overall amazing. We are thrilled, bedazzled, fascinated and just happy to have been here. We stayed in the Atlantic, that is what you call a room with a view! Thank you, lions eye!!!

A stunning guest house in a great location at the slightly quieter end of Camps Bay. Just a 5 minute walk down to the main seafront road, easy access to some great restaurants (best of which is The Cod Father - a must visit for seafood lovers) and only 15 minutes by Uber into central Cape Town and the V&A. Susha and the team are so helpful, food is great and a really well stocked honesty bar. 5 out of 5 review for sure - we will be back.

My girlfriend and i stayed at the living hotel recently for 6 nights while visiting Cape Town. Our room was the Atlantic room (a must if you're visiting - it's well worth the extra money) with beautiful sea views and a luxurious hot tub on the balcony. The room was simply spectacular, there's no other way to put it.....it was actually more like a suite than a room such was the luxury on offer! We had a free standing rainforest-type shower; the bed was huge and v comfortable after a day's exploring of the wonderful Cape; the complimentary coffee maker was a nice touch and, I've left the best until last - the balcony and view and the hot tub on said balcony were exquisite. The view extends from downtown Camps Bay to the freezing Atlantic round to lions head and the 12 Apostles and table Mountain behind too.....I'm not actually doing it justice with words, hence the attached pics. The hotel itself is located just up the hill from downtown Camps Bay and is approx a 15 min walk away from the main beach and the strip with the bars and restaurants on. Calvin and the staff were fantastic and so friendly and helpful - they left a bottle of red wine for my girlfriend and i coming in one evening as a thank you simply for moving our car so they could get in properly with their cars. There is a pool at the hotel which has great views all of it's own; there is a cinema room and if you decide to chill out here for the evening, like we did one night, there is plenty of quiet time to be had plus there are snacks and an honesty bar and games in the room to keep everyone entertained. The breakfasts in a morning were delicious and a welcome mixture of cooked, if so desired, and cereal/cold cuts too to suit all tastes and preferences. I could go on........simply put this is a wonderful place to stay. Yes, it does cost a little more than other neighboring hotels and those closer to the Camps Bay beaches and bars but it's worth every last penny. I researched accommodation in Camps Bay for ages and pondered and wondered over where we should stay and whether this wasn't close enough but it was perfect and, unlike a hot of other hotels, you can immediately see where that extra money you've paid has gone. If you're still not convinced.....simply check out the other many, many positive reviews and pics on offer.

We stayed here on our first night in South Africa. People are lovely and accommodating. Rooms are stunning and offer amazing views over the bay. There is an honesty bar should you want a drink in the evening which is reasonably priced. Off road parking is available. It’s close to table mountain and a ten minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants.
