Nestled in a scenic spot, Atlanticview Cape Town Boutique Hotel garners accolades for its luxurious and spacious rooms that boast breathtaking views, although a few visitors have pointed out the need for technology updates and improved air conditioning. While opinions on the hotel's value fluctuate, with some guests finding it a bargain and others questioning additional costs, the service receives unanimous praise for its exceptional staff.
The hotel's amenities and cleanliness are also commended, despite some calls for better gym facilities. Its location near Camps Bay's attractions and the overall luxurious atmosphere contribute to its charm.

We booked this trip for my husband's 60th and travelled on our wedding anniversary so it was a really special occasion for us. We cannot state enough how highly we rated the whole experience.
The hotel was seriously luxurious. The location was beautiful with stunning views from everywhere. The attention to detail in the decor and styling of the property was second to none. We were just a few minutes drive down to the Camps Bay beachfront with its fabulous vibe and gorgeous restaurants.
We were offered a highly discounted upgrade from our room to a suite but once we had seen the location and privacy of the room within the hotel (The Master Bedroom) we decided to stay where we were. Although this caused an issue for the hotel, they accommodated our request. The privacy of the room and the terrace were more important to us than a larger suite.
We did a Winelands Tour, a Cape Point/Penguin Colony visit, Table Mountain, Robben Island and a helicopter trip as well as using the Red City Bus. The lovely V&A waterfront was a favourite. Just make sure you take your passport and photo ID when buying Robben Island tickets as you cant purchase them without that.
The staff were calm, welcoming, professional and catered to every whim. Vito and Lesley were the sparkly stars in a superstar team. Brian is an inspirational young man. Take a few minutes to listen to his story.
Thank you to everyone.

I booked one night in a mountain facing room as my son had to stay in hospital due to surgery, and they are situated close to the hospital. From the first interactions with them up to today has just been an amazing pleasure! Not only did they upgrade me to a sea facing room with no charge, they went the extra mile to arrange an early breakfast for my husband when he arrived at about 21:00. It was so impressive that a plan was made at that time of the day, amidst covid-19 dilemmas. The service was absolutely fantastic, courteous, friendly and with great conversations. No detail was left uncatered for - even the temperature of the pool when we wanted to swim late at night! The mattress and linen was definitely the best I have experienced in my life, the room large and spacious with only the sounds of the distant ocean while you sleep. The beauty of the Cape Town Boutique Hotel will stay with us forever, the views from the decks and patio's are indescribable. We definitely will be coming back to experience this Hotel outside of covid as this is the place to be to immerse yourself in another world, to forget all worries and be immersed in the outstanding service and experience at this Hotel!

Hello Elmarie, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to write a review. Yes the pools are lovely and warm now after our big renovation last year. The jacuzzi jets are just the ticket to relax and unwind with a breath taking view. We pride ourselves on thee quality of linens we have custom made for our hotel. The Tempur mattresses are the ultimate in sleeping comfort. Glad to know you enjoyed them. As the American owner of Atlanticview, I cannot tell you how much we appreciate hearing such positive response from local guests. We do try to be different and even import what we cannot find in SA so that your guests have something unique and special. We were delighted to have you join us and very happy to hear your son is home and on the mend. Take good care of each other and dont forget to have fun! Warmest regards, Greg and The Atlanticview Team

If we could give this place a six, we would. The Atlanticview is a hidden gem in Camps Bay, Cape Town. It is a small boutique hotel with 10 rooms. We stayed in the Pineapple suite. It was spacious and open plan. It had a large bathroom, a sitting area and large dining area. It opens out onto a large deck, which overlooks Camps Bay. There is a breath-taking view from the deck, which is furnished with sunloungers and a dining table where we had breakfast outside every day. Our room was a 10-metre walk to one of the infinity pools.
The owner, Greg, is very hands on and makes sure his team looks out for every detail. This shows in the careful design of each room, the glassware and even the plating of the food at the hotel. The team whom we primarily dealt with (Justine, Mansur, Rebecca, Calvin, James, Ashley and Eppe the chef) were all stars in their own right. The food was very well prepared and very delicious. There is a nightly aperitivo hour which lasts two hours and the wine and canapés are excellent. The WiFi is very fast and works throughout the hotel.
We were very sad to leave. We really had an amazing stay here and hope to come back soon with friends.

Hello AAV! You both were such a delight from the moment you booked until now a month after departure. We have enjoyed keeping in touch with you and are so pleased you enjoyed yourselves so much during your 2 week stay with us in April 2021. You traveled extensively and had your negative tests in both directions. Again as I have said before...we can do this! A holiday can be taken and enjoyed safely. The long haul flights have not had any negative impact on any of our international guests. As you know we are maintaining protocols at the hotel and are keeping up with our thorough cleaning programs installed to meet guests expectations and safety precautions. You two really did some traveling. From SA to Namibia, back to the states then to the Caribbean, then Iceland and back to London on business. Wow. I really have enjoyed chatting with you through out your travels and look forward to meeting you the next time you visit our hotel in Cape Town. My team said they miss you! Thank you again for finding Atlanticview and staying with us. It was a pleasure to have you both as guests. Warm regards and safe travels, Greg and The Atlanticview Team

This was my 4th or 5th visit to AV and I have reserved around a dozen rooms to include friends and family. Greg and the team (and the latter provide a tip top, 5* service) have undertaken a sharp refurb of the property over the last 12-months with amazing results.
Whilst we generally spend part of our trip in Franschhoek and Constantia, the Camps Bay leg is always the favourite. The nightly wine tastings are an excellent way to meet some fellow guests and sample some of the local wineries.
The standards of the accommodation is leading edge and so far in front of other hotels that we have stayed in. The views at the back of Camps Bay are also exceptional and given its boutique status there is plenty of space and privacy as needed. The beds are fab.
This offering comes highly recommended. My path has yet to cross with the owner but I feel that I know him anyway and he is highly efficient and amenable when discussing availability and terms. A MUST try.

Hello Steve and family! Thank you for staying with us again. Its always a pleasure to welcome you and your family back to Cape Town! Thank you also for taking the time to write a review. We really appreciate it. Atlanticview has evolved beautifully over the years (20 to be exact) and the pools are now the best in Cape Town with jacuzzi jets, fountains of light and warm all year round. We strive for the best and yes those Tempurpedic beds are very comfortable. I know we will cross paths one day after all these years. I look forward to it and treating you and your wife to dinner when we do. Take care of each other and don't forget to have fun! See you next year hopefully. We are lucky enough to visit South Africa every (English) winter and look forward to winter sun in a place we love. We have always finished up at the Atlantic View ever since we discovered it and first stayed there six years ago. Why do we like it so much? Where to start?
The first thing is location. I have said this before, but it seems to me that if you're in a vibrant city with a beautiful coastal side, that's the side to stay. Although there are lovely hotels in Constantia, or in town, the view trumps everything for me. And what a view! The hotel is high above Camps Bay with a spectacular panoramic view of the beach and sea straight ahead, the Lion's Head to the right, Table Mountain (with the cable car clearly visible) over your right shoulder and the 12 Apostles mountain range running down the coast behind you. That's a pretty spectacular setting by any standards.
The hotel itself, which is owned by American Greg Boki, is managed with a total attention to detail. Nothing gets overlooked. There are nine rooms and suites of varying sizes in two linked buildings. We always take the one described as the Penthouse Suite which is large and beautifully appointed. The layout was, in the past, slightly sub optimal, so Greg listened to guest comments and changed things round. The layout now is excellent.
Since there are two linked buildings, there are two infinity pools, now heated with heat pumps and always at a perfect temperature. There are also plenty of sun beds, which are assigned to each room, so there is never the sinking feeling of not being able to find one.
Breakfast is excellent - fresh fruits and juice, a pastry basket and a cooked option, all served in the room. The food and beverage offering has stepped up a gear and I saw more guests than in the past choosing to dine in the hotel. That's impressive, as there are so many great restaurants in Cape Town and around. Happy Hour (or longer!) with complementary wines and canapes sets the mood each evening.
Finally, I should mention the wonderful team, headed by Justine and Mansur. Kudos to Greg for keeping the team together in such difficult times, so it was great to see their familiar faces along with Rebecca, Robin Calvin and the others. We were greeted like old friends when we arrived, which is how we regard the team too, and parted with hugs.
I booked for next year as soon as the flights opened up. Says it all, really! A special place. But - those of you who may read this, please don't book on the back of it. In fact, ignore every word! We need to be able to get back ourselves!

This was our third visit to Atlantic View and this time we brought some friends who had never been. We stayed in our favourite room (the glorious Pineapple Suite) and our friends were just next door in the Infinity Suite. Both are beautifully appointed, spacious and have wonderful views out across the Atlantic. This visit we decided to book one of the Range Rovers and drivers for the day to take us all down to Cape Point, the Cape of good Hope and to Boulders Beach. It was a fantastic day, our driver was extremely friendly and professional and gave us loads of fun facts and interesting information throughout the tour. He also organised a fabulous place for lunch which was most welcome. It was our friends first time to the Cape and they had a tremendous time. Loved every minute of it. Having access to the private cars for even short trips to and from restaurants was also great and took the worry and inconvenience out of using local taxis. Having the tranquil of the hotel to come back to after a busy day was fabulous and the complimentary drinks and canapes in the evening with the very friendly and charismatic bar man was an absolute pleasure. As always the breakfasts were plentiful and the room service delicious! We are already looking forward to our fourth stay with some different friends in April this year at the start of a Garden Route tour...where better to start it! Although I fear everywhere else will have a lot to live up to!

To describe it in just one word: Fantastic!
The location is superb, located up the hill in Camps Bay, just under the Table mountain wirh a breathtaking view und gorgeous sunsets.
The staff is more than just friendly, they make you feel to stay at a friends house. They go beyond to make every wish come true.
The rooms are very nice, cosy and modern at the same time wirh perfectly comfortable beds for an excellent sleep.
They have two pools, both are heated if required, so you can always swim. And enjoy the view on the Lions Head and Camps Bay. It couldn‘t be any better.
Each evening they have a nice little wine tasting and some little snacks by courtesy, the perfect thing to wind down the day, enjoy subset and have a pre dinner drink.
Needless to say that the Wifi works perfectly well and is fast and they even have a small business corner in case you need a printer or similar.
I cannot say a single negative thing and this has been my second stay and for sure not the last one!

We spent four nights at the Atlantic View after arriving in Cape Town and it certainly set a superlative standard to beat for the rest of our holiday - quite simply, it wasn’t beaten and we were lucky enough to stay in several fantastic hotels during our trip.
The levels of luxury, sophistication, style and attention to detail, combined with the location and fantastic views, make this a very special place indeed.
The outstanding feature, however, is the level of customer service provided by the whole team. Their professionalism shines through - they simply want you to have a fantastic time and will do anything they can do to make this happen. Greg, the owner has done an amazing job of recruiting and retaining such a fabulous team who clearly follow his own ethos.
Don’t go anywhere else. I can’t wait to go back for a longer stay!

+1
My fiance and I stayed at the Atlantic View for 2 nights in August 2021. As soon as we arrived at the property, the staff (Epi and Calvin) were highly accommodating. They provided a complimentary bottle of wine our first night and upgraded us to their penthouse suite.
Complimentary breakfast was included with our booking and the spread was beautifully curated. The continental breakfast featured fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, bread, and cabanas, which was followed up with an order of hot food. Our hosts also helped us organize an impromptu engagement dinner with friends that really made our stay.
The suites are spacious and have a modern boutique design. I really enjoyed the bathroom decor, which was layed in black tile, had soap stone statues, a standing shower and seperate bath tub, and a large window that brought natural lighting into the bathroom. Most suites also have a patio, which offer sweeping views of Camps Bay.
The Atlantic View is located in the hills of Camps Bay, but local shops and beaches are accessible with a 10-minute walk or transport services. We had an all around great stay and would highly recommend for future travelers.
