We stayed here on our first leg of our honeymoon and we literally wanted to cancel the rest of our trip to stay longer. Our experience was amazing. Every single person at 12 Apostles, from chambermaids to concierge to wait staff to upper management, all make you feel like the most important person in the hotel.

We stayed at 12A on our way back from a week's holiday in Hermanus, so as to break the journey for our little one. We booked a luxury suite with stunning sunset views, & was welcomed with fabulous bubbly & snacks in our room. My daughter was so impressed with all the kiddies amenities. It's an intimate boutique hotel such that you never really want to leave. Our spa treatments were devine including the heated pools inside. We had some minor issues with breakfast & dinner but the Manager on charge was quick to remediate them to suite our preferences. Movie night was a lovely experience with popcorn & hot chocolate from Leonardo. From a covid perspective, everything was adequately sanitized with staff also taking safety protocols. My daughter loved her little goodie pack from Prince & as such requested we come back in Summer. So glad we got to experience such luxury & hospitality.

The only con is that the rooms can be noisy in the afternoons with passing traffic due to the location of 12A however it dies down from 6pm. So just enquire on your room location depending on your preferences.

We spent two nights in a mountain facing room, and the quality of service, professionalism and quality is unmatched. The guest experience was considered from our arrival, when we were greeted by name, to our departure. The room itself was spacious, well equipped with an exceptionally high standard of hygiene (the housekeeping staff must be commended). Compliance to Covid19 regulations were in place and seemed integrated into everyday practice - making the experience more human and less invasive. Dining at the Azure restaurant, for both dinner and breakfast, was a joy. A special thank you to Juanita who seem to take a personal interest in every guest. Nothing was too much trouble and any request received with a smile. The food quality was outstanding and portion size fantastic (perhaps even a bit too big when enjoying a multiple course meal). We enjoyed the spa facilities and a massage from Queenie, once again the facilities were spotless, the service professional and knowledgable (give the current pressure due to the pandemic, the level of care and the hotel’s approach to ensuring guests are safe in the spa environment was exceptional). Other amenities we enjoyed was the pool area and the high tea hosted by the Leopard Lounge. Honestly, every staff member we encountered was a service ambassador for the hotel. We will definitely be back very soon.

We stayed for 5 nights at the 12 Apostles on our recent trip to Cape Town. We had not originally booked the 12 Apostles but because of the bad weather on the Garden Route we turned round and came back to Cape Town and were grateful for the 12 Apostles for accommodating us. The Reception was very warm and the room was a lovely size with a balcony over looking the mountains. We really liked the hotel and all staff were very friendly. However my only negatives is that the tables in the bar are often 'reserved' which means that as a resident you might not get a table if you change plans. The main restaurant was fully booked on two of the nights that we stayed, which again they should availability for residents and beware breakfast service can be very slow but other than that the location is great and worth a visit

My husband and I stayed at the 12 Apostles for almost 2 weeks. We've had an amazing and very relaxing stay. From the moment we arrived till departure all the staff were super friendly, approachable, and helpful and always went the extra mile to make us feel special. Every extra request was carried out with a smile and the hotel team’s attention to detail was fantastic.

The hotel is beautiful, and our sea-view room gave us the most amazing view. This was such a treat for us coming from Johannesburg to be able to look out to the ocean whenever we were in the room. The ladies from housekeeping ensured that our room was always kept clean and were they very friendly when they came into do the turn-down service at night.

I would like to thank all the exceptional team members that include the gentleman at the front gate, front of desk, bell boys and concierge who checked us in (Fiona), helped us with our business requirements on many occasions, booked the gym for us, saw us off to the beach daily with a smile and towels and water and Alex who helped us pick out the perfect gift in the gift shop. There are to many names to remember but you were all incredible and awesome. Thank you!

I would also like to thank all the members of the food and beverage team at the Azure restaurant and especially to Noxi, Juanita and Arlene who bent over backwards to ensure that our daily morning breakfasts were delicious and for also ensuring that our dinners were of a culinary experience.

Juanita thank you for treating me as part of the family and with-out asking, sending up a tray up to the room of toast and tea when I was feeling ill to make me feel better. This kind gesture meant so much.

Victoria and Maxwell for thank you for taking care of our needs at the pool.

A big thank you to all the staff at the 12 Apostles who make up an exceptional team who helped to make this magnificent hotel our home for nearly 2 weeks. Our stay was absolutely superb. We definitely recommend this hotel to locals or international travelers.

We hope to be returning to have another wonderful stay in 2021.

We booked a mountain facing room over a weekend to celebrate our Anniversary. We had a wonderful stay, the location of this hotel is amazing, with fabulous views of the ocean and mountains in the back.

Service of the staff was always on point, with the team taking time to acknowledge our anniversary and congratulate us. They always checking how our stay was, and how our day was, what our plans were and if they could assist.

A standout is the option for oysters for breakfast, delicious and a unique option i have not encountered at other hotels. The complimentary lunch that came part of the special we booked was also delicious and exceeded expectations.

There were issues with our room, and the hotel handled this in exemplary fashion, team came out to resolve this issues and quickly ascertained if it will be an easy fix or not. Given not an easy fix, we were upgraded to a larger room. No fuss, no need to ask etc.

Some areas for improvement:
This hotel gets busy and while not their fault, it seems like most things need to be booked well in advance e.g. a seat at the leopard bar or to use the spas pools. Need to get to breakfast early to get a table in Azure. Its takes away some spontaneity to the experience. To use the spa pool we booked on a Friday and the earliest we could get was Sunday morning.

Age is showing on this property and while it is stunning and well taken care of, things like the aircons and some light fittings (not just in the rooms) are all showing their age and look out of place. Original room looked very old and in need of a makeover. Cupboards in the spa look a bit worn.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay, with great staff and in a stunning location. I would recommend it.

My husband and I chose the 12 Apostles as our wedding venue! It was the most dreamy day.

We live in Abu Dhabi and had been planning this wedding for almost 3 years due to Covid. There were many ups and downs that were out of our control but our wedding planner, Sally, was so supportive throughout the entire process. Planning a wedding from abroad is not easy but Sally was with us every step of the way. There were many emails and zoom meetings that she was very attentive to. Once arriving in Cape Town she met with us before our big day to go through everything and show us the venue. She even got us checked into our honeymoon sweet the night before and on our wedding day she was so organized handling any issues allowing myself and hubby to have a relaxing wedding day. Right up until the day I was able to stay in contact with Sally and she honestly thinks of every single little detail making your special day flawless.

The entire day ran so smoothly. We were either on schedule or early. I never felt stressed or overwhelmed and we had such a beautiful day.

We had our reception in the Fynbos garden which was absolutely stunning, we were then able to have our photos taken at the beach just a short drive down the road. Our reception in the Atlantic Marquee was gorgeous! The views and the venue are unmatched and it gave our day such a beautiful romantic feel.

Some of our guests stayed with the hotel and they were very well taken care of. The breakfast offered at the hotel was delicious and we had a small reception/family dinner the night before the wedding and it was wonderful! Of course our reception dinner was fabulous too.

The staff at 12A are so attentive and welcoming. They really know how to take of their guests always paying special attention to small details.

I highly recommend choosing the 12 Apostles for your dream wedding. If I could do it all over again I would in a heartbeat. This is a day we will never forget, it was just perfect!🤍

This hotel was such a treat. Being a vegan there was a large variety of options for breakfast lunch and dinner and the best of all the most amazing vegan high tea.

The hotel staff are absolutely amazing and are so friendly. From checkin to being seated for breakfast to just having a random conversation with a staff member, the level of professionalism and friendliness is incredible. Yes here and there, there are a few mistakes made but what I admire is how the staff will go the extra mile to fix this.

Initially we booked a basic room but found this really small and cramped and upon enquiring if we could upgrade to a bigger room, this was done at a cost but the manner in which this was sorted was so good.

Being a traveler and having experienced a number of 5 star hotels worldwide, I can certainly say that this hotel surely does live up to its reputation.

Highly recommended. I'll certainly return to this beautiful paradise.

Thanks to the amazing staff that made my trip so amazing!

I would avoid staying here at all costs from start to finish our trip December 2019 was the worst experience ever which is sad because we have stayed in many places in stunning Cape Town. Please don’t let the pictures fool you. You can do way better for your money as this place is not cheap maybe it used to be the best option back in the day but now it’s a rip off:

~ The swimming pool is tiny which is pretty clear on their website if you look closely.
~ The rooms are tiny and outdated which is why they don’t show too many pictures of them.
~ The staff are not well trained. We ordered two bottles of wine and they called back 3 times to confirm our order then only came back with one for example.
~ The food is not good bar breakfast and during New Years Ever dinner they brought out fish and said it was meat so clearly they have no idea what they are even serving.
~ They overcharged us on check out and we are yet to get a refund.
~ The location is not a selling point if you’re looking to get to the V&A during any peak period as you will get stuck in traffic potentially even up to two hours.

We went here for our wedding last February 2020 and went for a holiday last week for 4 days and we did the right choice of coming back. Thank you for the wonderful wedding gift "our wedding picture". We were surprised. When we arrived we were served a welcome drinks in the room and welcome snack. They do provide a free shuttle to Camps Bay and Watefront, strictly with Covid 19 health and safety rules. The breakfast is better than the previous buffet they have, because you feel like you are being served the way you want it. We tried their movie room and it's lovely with matching popcorn and drinks, we just hope they have a Disney films, because they only have Netflix. Our early morning hike is relaxing and hope we can do it again. The staff are friendly, accommodating and helpful. We will surely recommend this place and hope to comeback soon.
