What makes this holiday home so unique is that there is no other villa so large situated so close to the beach and restaurants and located in a quiet lane. Situated in a leafy cul de sac, only 100 meters from Camps Bay beach, Camps Bay Village with beachfront shops, trendy cafés, cocktail bars and famous restaurants is a short stroll away. The Blinkwater stream runs in front of the house originating on the top of Table Mountain. After the rain, the gushing of the stream contends with the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach. This Camps Bay house has elegantly decorated bedrooms, all en suite, boasting a balcony each. The three terraces offer the perfect vantage point from which to sip sundowners and indulge the senses with many spectacular sunsets, enjoy a game of pool, soak up the sun beside the swimming pool, take a leisurely swim and just unwind. The buzzing nightlife of cosmopolitan Camps Bay is a minute away. This beachside villa overlooks the famous palm fringed Camps Bay beaches and Atlantic ocean with breathtaking views of the Lions Head mountain peak. Balfour Place offers the best of all worlds, an unforgettable view, a private swimming pool and a short stroll from shops, restaurants and the beach. Simply magnificent is the only way to describe it.

Great mid range guest house, but more probably budget in price for camps bay. The reason I say this is that camps bay is very expensive to say and this guest house is very reasonable.

The location is two minutes away from the beach and the restaurants which is a must for camps bay and very rare.

The rooms were very well appointed with views of the bay and table mountain

Would defiantly recommend this place if your in camps bay

We had a 2 night stay here on a stay in Camps Bay. We stayed in one of the top floor rooms......advertised as honeymoon suites......wow the room was huge and very comfortable. Views from the large balcony of Table Mountain to one side and across the beach/bay to the other. Breakfast was lovely especially the fresh cut fruit and omellettes cooked fresh to order. Very short walk to the beach and all the restaurants. The small pool was nice to sit round soaking up some sun. Would definitely stay again.

The Balfour is lovely... great big house, but needs a bit of an update. On approach to it, it's a bit difficult as it's down a very steep hill, with hardly anywhere to park. Needs more signposts.

The house itself is amazing. Decorated beautifully with stunning views, and only a 5 minute walk to the main street of Camps Bay.

Hoever, our room was a bit dated, the bathroom was looking a bit old. The mattress was a bit tired too, as well as cushions etc, so needs a bit of sprucing up, especially for the price.

It could also do with having a lift installed. We had huge, heavy suitcases, and had to carry it up a few flights of stairs, which in 30 degree heat is not ideal.

The staff were amazing though, did our washing, cooked a fab breakfast and were very accommodating.

It's a lovely guesthouse, but for the price, there are nicer places to stay in Camps Bay.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week in March and found the B&B to be a good choice. It is in an excellent location with parking in the street. It seemed very safe and the staff were very efficient. The only problem is the number of steps! However the male member of staff was always available to assist with the luggage. The wifi wasn't very good at times. The breakfast was hearty and freshly made. If we were staying in Camps Bay, I would certainly return.

The location of this place is incredible. Yes there are steps to contend with but the proximity to the beach front and the views are worth the effort!

The house is spacious and comfortable and service was excellent. Special thanks to Dominique and Portia. Also, Portia makes an excellent cooked breakfast which was a bonus to have included in the cost.

The comments I have are mostly superficial - some of the furnishings and paint could do with a facelift to freshen things up, and the pillows on the bed could be better.

Nicely located, not too close to the noise of the bars on beach road, excellent views of the bay. Just a short walk to the beach, shops and bars. Private road to the hotel and steps down to the road which saves a walk

Situated a short walk from Camps Bay beach and restaurants. There are 25 steps to main reception and another 39 Steps to the honeymoon suite where we stayed. It had a huge bedroom, huge bathroom with jacuzzi. Walk in wardrobes. Huge balcony. Floor to ceiling windows with two sliding doors. Great views over Camps Bay Beach, Lions Head, and Table Mountain. Good breakfast and very pleasant staff. Small pool with spacious seating area. Lounge with pool table. Parking is limited, sometimes difficult with the tree stumps, when the Guesthouse is full. Great location, but you need to be fit for those stairs. Not for those of a more senior age.

We found the staff here simply excellent. Very friendly, extremely accommodating and perfectly helpful in every way. The communal living space is a nice touch. A pool table, swimming pool with loungers and TV. It felt safe, with parking and in just the right place. I'd stay here again. The room did what it needed to do. You don't go to SA to sit in a room! Would recommend!!!

Very safe....THe Balfour is just down some steps and another 100yards to be beach front with all the restaurants and bars.

Our room was very small with no room for a cot. You would need a bigger, more expensive room to have space for the cot, but we didn’t see anyone with children and it doesn’t feel child friendly with lots of steps and a pool with no guard rail.
