The rooms and bathroom were dirty with a funny smell. There is no aircon, only a noisy fan. The breakfast was stale. The sea view was barely a sea view. This was not value for money and if you are a female solo traveller I would not recommend booking here as there are foreign men running the guesthouse and no security and even if there is no real threat, your safety is always number one priority.

We had an amazing two night stay at 61 Camps Bay. David and Nelson were absolutely delightful, helpful, friendly and so polite. The room was lovely and spacious with a great sea view. The bathroom was also really big with two sinks, double shower and bath tub. The large sliding doors lead onto a lovely balcony overlooking the sea and the pool below. David was kind enough to even lend us beach towels. It’s about a 15 minute walk to camps bay beach, a lovely, wide, sandy beach where you can find a whole range of shops, restaurants, chemists and a pick and pay. We had a lovely stay and will surely be back!

The guest house is situated on a hilly road connecting to the main water front road. We had a nice view spotting the ocean and sunset between other buildings on the opposite side. It was warm when we were in Camps Bay and we had missed when we read about that the guest house had no aircon- only fan so it was a bit disappointing . Need to read more carefully next time :-) . The room was okay but need some TLC. Very difficult to open the door due to malfunctioning lock. The balcony is shared with other guests so not much privacy. Breakfast was buffé and á la carte was good , especially the omelettes. Parking just outside the entrance. Overall an okay stay in a very nice area.
