Our stay last month was amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty, Rooms, beds very comfortable with amazing view from our oceanside suites.
Kimbu was very helpful, making us feel at home. The breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious. My husband and the couple we traveled with so enjoyed walking into town to eat dinner, sightsee and explore. Excellent location off the main strip but very walkable to town.
Also, the staff was very Covid aware, masks on social distancing, cleaning always.
If we ever return we will definitely stay at Sea Five.

We so look forward to our visits to Sea Five, the team led by Marco & Rose are just wonderful who always go out of their way to make your stay special.

We enjoyed the comfort of the penthouse on this trip, its spacious, comfortable with panoramic views & a delight to stay in as long as the wind is not blowing down the mountain.

Breakfast every morning was delicious with probably the best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted.

Sea five is the perfect base to stay in when visiting Camps bay or Capetown.

Until next time.....

Just leaving after a 4 night stay. Rooms and service were excellent with views to die for of the sea. In fact writing this review looking down on Camps Bay beach whilst taking in the therapeutic sound of the crashing wave. Location for touring round Cape Town is first class with Uber rides being cheap and readily available. Could not have asked for more. Will return if every back in this part of the world.

After gaining entry to Sea Five by intercom the first thing you see are two flights of stone stairs, which were a bit daunting after a twelve hour flight or I imagine would be if you had mobility problems. However, the welcome we received from Cyndy and staff was very warm and there were many hands to help carry our bags.
Once inside, the whole feeling of the place is one of light and space, and I can imagine if the weather was warm and sunny, with the doors open onto the pool and small deck it would be ideal. Unfortunately our first day there was very cold and windy, and we felt more in need of a hot water bottle! We had a garden room on the ground floor, which was great as the Wi-Fi worked in our room, whilst I understand it doesn’t in the upper rooms. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc, with a good choice of hot dishes to follow if required. Sea Five is ideally situated, only a five minute walk from the main beach road where many cafes, restaurants and bars can be found, but also far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful at night. We also felt very safe in the Camps Bay Area, in fact I thought it the ideal area to stay in Cape Town, with a magnificent beach and crashing waves that you could watch for hours. The staff could not do enough for you, always smiling, and were helpful confirming our car hire for us. There is a free mini bar in the room, containing wine and beer and soft drinks, plus fresh milk for either tea or coffee (a nespresso machine)
All in all, this was a great place to begin our holiday in South Africa. Thank you to Cyndy and all her staff for making our stay such a pleasant one.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the perfect location. Staff was very friendly and accommodating (even offered to steam/iron clothes). Room was clean and tidy when we arrived and turndown service included. Breakfast is not served until 8:30, so if you have early activities planned, this could be an issue.

We stayed here in Cape town for five nights following a safari trip in Johannesburg. It was just what we needed to relax and reset before flying home. All the staff was brilliant, so friendly and provided a excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. We received a free room upgrade to mountain view, which had amazing view of lions head and you could also see table mountain from the room. Everything in the room was brilliant, it was spacious, the bed was very comfortable we also had robes and slippers which were really nice touch. Its also nicely located, just a few minutes walk down to camps bay front where there are some lovely restaurants, a few shops and bus stops so you can easily get a bus to get around Cape town. I would highly recommend staying here if you are travelling to Cape town.

Lovely relaxed three nights in the Sea Five Hotel. It’s small and feels very individual, staff were great and it’s perfectly placed.

Ours was a large garden room, well decorated although it could have done with a bit more seating. Being on the ground floor kept it cool during the heat of the day and we had access to a seating area outside in the garden which was a nice place to drink the complementary beer from the mini bar!

Breakfast was very good especially the home made seeded bread.

We went to Table Mountain which is a ten minute drive away meaning you can get there relatively early, beating all the coach parties and only having a short wait at the cable car. The V&A water front is only 20 minutes away and Camps Bay itself has lots of decent restaurants to choose from with great sunsets and a very sandy beach. The area felt safe and there was no problem walking about in the evening.

Be aware it is not easy to find, you get to the road and then the Sea 5 is not easy to spot as there is no sign just a low key plaque on the wall with the number 5 with a “C” as background.

What an amazing place to stay. From the moment we arrived the service we received could not be faulted. Room was wonderful and spacious with a mountain view, delux toiletries and dressing gown and slippers. Mini bar included and restocked every day. Breakfast delicious with fresh fruit, cereal, croissants, and a cooked breakfast made to order. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive. Location was perfect with restaurants and beach a few minutes stroll. Fabulous.

Sea Five is in a stunning position beneath Table Mountain and the Lions Head, in a quiet residential area close to the sea front.
The hotel offers very personal yet discreet service in top class accommodation.
Breakfasts were excellent although more limited than large hotels.
Rooms were very comfortable with mini bar stocked daily at no extra cost.
The small pool offered comfortable loungers looking towards the sea.

My husband, daughter and I spent five nights in the Penthouse and had the greatest time! The location could not be better because the hotel is up the hill a couple of blocks so the view is fantastic! And, we were close enough to the beach, restaurants, shopping to walk, but high enough to have an incredible ocean view and sunset. Down by the beach is “lively” but also pretty noisy, so I felt we had the best of both worlds. The hotel is charming, the breakfast was wonderful....but the people were outstanding! They could not have been more accommodating, caring, efficient and KIND! We hired a guide through the hotel: Admire. Well, we wanted to just put him in our bag and bring him home with us. Combined, they were instrumental in making our trip to Capetown one to remember. Thanks Sea Five, we miss you.
