The apartment was spacious, fresh and welcoming, it was also serviced every day. The amenities are well thought through and nothing deterred Gisela (the owner) from ensuring our stay was relaxed and enjoyable. She was on hand if we needed her and we certainly did when our flight was unexpectedly cancelled but also invisible during the holiday so you really felt the place was yours.
We loved the fact the location gave us all the fantastic views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic but still allowed us to be in amongst the night life within a five minute drive.
The only niggle was there is no Satellite TV so you only get the 5 local channels (I like to keep up with news!) and we only realized towards the last few days there was free WiFi available in the apartment.
We loved the visit to Cape Town and a big part of this was because of where we stayed. We hope to return next year!

We very much loved our 4 day stay at Gisela and Hans' guesthouse. The appartment is nice, clean and offers all necessities including a fully equipped kitchen. The most thrilling feature is the very large terrace facing the sea and sunset. The view is great and Gisela prepared a wonderfuls breakfast that we used to enjoy on the terrace. The house is located in right under Table mountain and we felt very safe in the luxurous neighborhood of camps bay. Gisela and Hans are also very helpful in giving local advice and organizing activities. We would come back any time! N+J

Guest House Michelitsch is a cute little house in Camps Bay. They offer 2 self serviced apartments for accommodation - Bay view & Atlantic View. The owners, Hans & Gisela stay upstairs. Both apartments have their separate entry. We stayed at the Bay view apartment for 2 nights. The views from the apartment are fantastic. The linen, cutlery are crisp and clean. The rooms and the bathroom are very clean. Top marks for cleanliness. Wifi is complimentary and works at a decent speed. The house itself is in a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. So, if you are looking for a relaxed stay at Camps Bay look no further. The owners are not indulgent at all and very respectable of the guests' privacy. Parking is available at the guest house. There are many restaurants along Victoria Road and not very far from the apartment.
There is, however, a slight room for improvement. The TV package is quite sad. Not much to choose from and the bouquet of channels is not great. The apartment is not services on weekends, so if you come for a weekend stay, it can get a little bit messy.
But that being said, these are very trivial and unimportant issues and can be ignored because the place is a joy to stay at. Me and my wife had a lovely stay and would like to thanks the owners generously for their hospitality.

Guest House Michelitsch is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Capetown. Overlooking Camps Bay, the property has amazing views of the ocean, Table mountain and the ideal location to watch one of Capetown's gorgeous sunsets. Gisela and Hans were incredible hosts, their hospitality will not soon be forgotten. The holiday apartments are fully furnished, and spotless and cozy, a real home away from home. I would highly recommend Guest House Michelitsch to any travelers whether it is for pleasure or business as the location and the hosts are truly fantastic!

Guesthouse Michelitsch is located in a quiet part of the vibrant seaside suburb of Camps bay. The view from the apartment and the terrace is fantastic and would allow you to spend memorable sunsets - if it were not for the strong winds that regularly start blowing at noon and have a strength by late afternoon that forces you inside.

Other than that the apartments are flawless (although on the smaller side) and the owner - Gisela - was very friendly and helpful in all aspects of our stay.

Special treat: The location of the Guesthouse allows direkt access to hiking on Table Mountain and the owners are very knowledgable about the different routes.

It is very sad to tell that my mobile phone was stolen by taxi driver just in front of the guest house because of my carelessness. After the indicent, geust family brough me to the police station. After coming back to home country, family was so kind that they could help me to get case number from policeman and finally it could be covered by insurance. I had bad experience at last night of Capetowm, but this experience never change my good memory of Capetown and this guest house.

My daughter and I stayed here last week and cannot rate it high enough. Hans and Gisela are the most welcoming hosts and made our stay in Camps Bay, Cape Town a most memorable one. Our apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, with lovely comfortable beds and linen. A really nice touch was having water, coffee, tea, milk etc provided ready for your arrival, plus a couple of cold beers! We enjoyed watching some great sunsets from the fabulous terrace too. If I ever have an oppportunity to visit again, I would not hesitate in staying here again.

Guest House Michelitsch is like a home away from home. After booking this apartment, we inquired as to the best mode of transportation from the airport to the guest house. The owner emailed us right away and after email discussions, booked us a car so that when we arrived we did not have to be concerned about taxis. When we arrived at the apartment, we knew we were in kind capable hands as the owner met us at the door and explained the apartment and the amenities that were available in Camps Bay. The apartment was clean, and spacious with all the necessities to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. It also had a huge balcony allowing us to sit outside and have breakfast or supper and enjoy the breathtaking views of Camps Bay harbor and the mountains. The owners were knowledgeable about the area and the excursions. They booked a car for us and contacted the Safari tour to determine our pick up time. We were picked up by the Safari tour right at our door and the owners indicated that other tours will also pick you up at the door. During our stay there we always felt safe due to several facts: good security system, safe in the room and the owners living in the house. The apartment was also quiet and tranquil – such a nice relaxing atmosphere that it was hard to leave to go touring! However, we did leave to tour but at the end of the day it was such a delight to come home to such a peace and beauty. We often left the apartment and walked up trails or walked down to Camps Bay for a few groceries at the local Pick and Pay or we walked down to have dinner at the waterfront in Camps Bay. There are so many nice restaurants that it is hard to choose where to eat and the beach is spectacular. We loved this place and highly recommend it to all fellow tourists. Cape town is fantastic and the owners of this guest home made our trip to Cape town extraordinary and one with lots of fond memories.

This was a very nice surprise, a bit higher up on camps bay area, easy access to both camps bay and cape town. the room I got had a beautiful very spacious terrace with a view on the sea. and in the back the mountains. the beds are extremely comfortable. there is even a little kitchen for those who wants. Pool is in the back and the sun disappears in late afternoon. maybe for those wanting new furniture, maybe disappointed, it's older style but clean and quiete and also has parking !

"Guesthouse is a distance up the mountain so you will need a car. Close to Lions Head, Signal Hill, Table Mountain for day trips. Also close to all the best beaches in CT (walking distance)."
