Wonderful wonderful place. Beautiful, great rooms, great service. However, the breakfast was reeally dismal! Some cereals and then 2 cooked choices, and that's all. Really missing the class that the rest of the place has - we left and went out for breafast, despite having already paid.
This is really a great guest house located in the Welgedacht Estate. Very well located for easy access to Belville, Cape Town and surrounding areas. The rooms are very comfortable and you can enjoy sitting outside watching magnificent sunsets in the evening (see photos). The food (dinner and breakfast) here is really excellent and you have that “home” feeling. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Stayed here twice, for a week at a time, and will definitely keep returning. There is also a larger unit option that offers self catering.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at HV. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always available. Great atmosphere in a great location, quiet and tranquil. Will definitely stay there again. Fantastic place, go stay there!
This is the most beautiful spot I’ve found in Ct and will in future always stay here. Such great common areas which are beautifully furnished and decorated. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and each has its own patio looking over a lovely courtyard.
The establishment is very well designed, great infrastructure. Decor in both common areas and rooms is rich and clearly no costs were spared during the initial setup. One of the best appointed rooms I have stayed in in this price range. Staff was very friendly. Well stocked honesty bar. However, general upkeep and cleanliness is problematic. Weeds were growing all over the paved areas. Building needed some serious painting - some areas had gone green. The fountain was green and lacked upkeep. Upon arrival, my room's floor had not been swept with pieces of rusk from previous occupants still lying all over. Two of my pillow slips had visibly not been changed from previous occupants. These matters were however swiftly attended to, but made we wonder what else was not…
So welcoming and made to feel at home. When we arrived they had no Bicardi, within 2 hours they had it there. All staff were friendly, made time to say hello and were always happy to help if anything needed. Would highly recommend.
I stayed at the Homestead Villas for 2 evenings. Ones stay is extremely comfortable, rooms are exceptionally clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Only criticism is the breakfast options available, would of like to see more of a variety and the beds are extremely high. Difficult for an individual with a disability to get onto it. I will definitely stay over again. Its affordable and close to all major amenities and highways.
The setting and location are wonderful. However. I was slightly disappointed with the stay here. The so called villas was abit run down. Bathroom cupboards need repair. Ants everywhere in kitchen. Sitting area was really tiny. This place must have been really great when it opened. Another con is that breakfast closes at 9am! This should be stated when one pays for breakfast in addition to room only rates. I would say that Precious was very helpful and he does prepare a great breakfast.
Amazing service from Precious and Nanine . Nice tranquil environment in a gated community. I wish I stayed more days. Close to several wine farms, the rooms were clean and inviting, Felt like home , amazing breakfast as well.
Homestead Villas have a wonderful location and I always stay there when I visit Cape Town . I used to own a property in Welgedacht and always feel drawn to go and stay there knowing it is safe and I will be able to enjoy the many beautiful aspects of the Estate . This time I was disappointed as I found the room smelled as if the previous guest/s had just left and also as if they were smokers . I decided not to sleep there as a result on this visit and really hope that who ever is in charge of house keeping will rectify this .
