What a delightful experience you had at the guest farm in Lemoenfontein in Beaufort West. The picturesque white entrance leading up the dirt road sets the perfect tone for a tranquil retreat. Meeting friendly cats and staff members only adds to the charm of the place, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests.Clean and comfortable rooms with air conditioning ensure a restful stay, while amenities like a refreshing swim and delicious food, such as the renowned Don Petro, contribute to a memorable experience. The hospitality you encountered, both during your stay and upon departure, speaks volumes about the dedication and care of the staff, making your visit truly exceptional. Really relaxing stay. Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent game drives and information.
The rooms are really nice - good AC. We think the dinner is just OK - quite expensive and does not match the high quality of the service and accommodation.

I seldom write reviews but I spend a lot of time travelling for work and pleasure and I feel moved to do so now due to Lemoenfontein being such a special place for good service internationally, something to be proud of. My husband and I needed a place to break our journey and it all worked seamlessly. We booked through booking.com and immediately received direct correspondence from the managers. They were responsive and flexible as well as personable. When we parked, we were met by a delightful employee who showed us to our cottage so that saved us having to park at the end of a long trip and find reception and then re-park once we'd found our accomodation. He helped us unpack and also offered to get us a bucket of ice so we did not need to go ourselves to the honesty bar (a delightful experience in itself, I recollect from previous trips) and could rather immediately sit outside to see in the last of the new year with a drink to hand with a view over the Karoo that surely cannot be rivalled. Cottages are cleverly appointed to all have their own private views of the escarpment. We left early the following morning and did not need to waste time checking out. We were immediately WhatsApped and emailed with any queries or comments we wanted to make and I thought it was phenomenal service all round. We will be back and stay longer next time.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Game Lodge and we're looked after very well indeed . Accommodation was very comfortable within en suite facilities, tv,air conditioning etc.. View from our room across the Karoo was spectacular. Catering for breakfast and evening meal wrer of a very high standard both taken on the open stoep with views over the Karoo and local wildlife.

A lovely week yet again at Lemoensfontein. We come to relax, read, sit by the pool and enjoy the beautiful peaceful atmosphere and surroundings. We love the wonderfully big views of the Karoo and marvellous home cooking served elegantly and with smiles on the big veranda as the sun is setting….magical! The staff make you feel very special. We have stayed every year for many years on our annual road trip in South Africa and look forward to many more.

Love the ambiance. Rooms clean. Staff very friendly. Dinner at R435 per person excluding drinks a bit expensive for what was served though. Same for breakfast at R205 pp. Booked directly, but rate was still higher than I could get online. This is the third time we have stayed there, but sadly will be out last given the cost of meals.

We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff and assisted right up to the door to our room. Our furbabies were restless and were allowed to roam free and play and get the pentup energy out. We slept comfortable and warm. Furbabies had plenty space on the floor for their beds :-) We had supper which was a 3 course meal, but thought it was a bit pricey for the meal....Otherwise, Accoumodation was very good.. .Thank you

An ideal stopover en route from Cape Town to Kruger National Park and just a few miles out of Beaufort West, on the N1. Fantastic location, quite literally an oasis in the Karoo Desert! The staff are very welcoming, the rooms are spotless and extremely comfortable and meals, served on the veranda, were delicious. I so enjoyed myself that I’ve changed my plans for the return journey and will stop there again in two weeks time!

Lemoenfontein has everything going for it. A quiet location, amazing view, attentive staff, delicious meals served out on the stoop with an incredible view or in the impressive dining room depending on the weather, a lovely sitting room / bar, very comfortable, spotlessly clean bedrooms, a beautiful garden and pool area, interesting walks without having to get in your car, the chance to see game on foot. They have a generator to cope with load shedding which is used for the majority of outages.

The lodge is situated on its very own oasis in the heart of karoo. Kobus the owner was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The wildlife is spectacular and the farm has so much to offer. We went with two teens and they weren’t bored one bit. the dinner and breakfast were delicious too!!!

Yes, they have security gaurds on duty and 2 friendly dogs roam the premises. Due to remoteness of location you mostly have guests on the premises. It is approximately 2km drive from the main road to the parking. It is preferable that you have a SUV to get to the lodge, but I saw smaller cars in the parking area.
There are more places to choose from in the Beaufort West area.
