It is a good place for two people stay, the employees are very helpful and very kind, the room was always clean, and the access to the beach is very easy, you can also find a lot of restaurants around that area.

Suitable hotel nothing more. A need for a robust renovation; except the very pleasant lounge dining room. But the bathroom is quite small with joints of the shower not maintained, paint which flakes etc. A host who knows nothing of the useful information to inform you (we were during a transport strike and we knew more that about it he). And especially the hotel is encircled by cranes of construction site (five in 500 meters) and thus you are very early woken. We see just only a quite small piece of Ocean since the room between two big buildings which are along the beach, and on the condition of being on the first floor. Easy parking lot in the street.

Good day Fifi, It was quite the task accommodating you guys as you had come to us with a back packers budget. You wanted to pay for the cheapest room but wanted to stay in the most expensive room. You did not want tour guides or rental cars but you wanted to make use of public transport during a protest. Normally our guests make use of uber or they rent a car but you did not want to pay for this service and were insistent on using public transport only to discover that they were having a protest on the day you wanted to use it. Just to nip that explanation short - we work in the accommodation industry and not public transport industry - we advise on tourist attractions and assist where and when we can by booking tours. We also have no control over the construction industry but their working hours were from 8am to 16h30 Monday to Friday. It is also a pity that you did not come to the office to voice your complaints or even discuss it with me (your host) at breakfast while I served you but rather waited until you arrived home to complain online about events that we had no control over. We hope you arrived safely back in your home country.

I arrived quite late (9pm) and was still greeted with a warm smile as my luggage was taken to my room. Everything was explained (even about restaurants nearby). Beautiful view greets you in the morning with bright swimming pool and white table cloths in the breakfast area.

Reasonable price,but room had no view and bathroom could be more modern. Excellent location on border of Fresnaye,Bantry Bay and Seapoint. Lovely pool.easy to walk down to Seapoint where the very trendy restaurants,shops and bars. Near beaches.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Villa Sunshine. The location was ideal for us as it was close to the beach and was a short drive into town and to the Waterfront. We opted for a room with a terrace which was beautiful and well kept. The area is quiet and peaceful. Parking outside the guest house on the street was a bit of a worry at first but we soon saw how safe the area is. We absolutely loved our trip and we will definitely be visiting in the near future.

This place deserves the name. A very friendly and supportive staff in a beautiful location. Within walking distance to the sea, local shops and restaurants. The rooms a specious and clean with a balcony where I spent my evening watching the Sun setting over the sea. A wanderfull surprise upon return on my birthday my room and bed were covered in rose petals and chocolate. Thank you so much I will be returning in a near future

Location is excellent, shops & restaurants are a 2 minute walk, beach is 5. Beautiful view, clean rooms, all necessary facilities, very friendly and helpful staff! It really is the best place to stay in Cape Town and it instantly feels like a home away from home! Oh, and the ocean breeze provides the best sleep!

We stayed for 5 nights. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Surely they can give good advice and help planning your stay if needed. Small hotel and very quiet. Though not soundproof at all so if there had been any noise we would have heard it. Upstairs they have this "common minibar" where you can take drinks and pay as you check out which is nice allthough it's not cheap like they try to tell you. No parking space at the hotel, but it was easy to find a place in the street (Rochester rd). At the noon it might be more cars parked in the streets than in the evening. Good location. Sea Point is a nice area, you can easily walk from this hotel to the beach and also Regent road and Main road where there are many great restaurants. We walked back from the restaurants at dark and…

Good day Jenni, Thank you for your review and also for pointing out how clean the staff kept your room over the 5 day stay you had with us. I remember that you had booked our last available room knowing that it was best suited for single travellers - but you told me that you needed a break from Johannesburg with your boyfriend - that was the reason for your visit to our beautiful city. You mention - "Small hotel and very quiet. Though not soundproof at all so if there had been any noise we would have heard it" - this is a bit of a conflicting sentence I would say - but I am glad that you enjoyed the peace and quiet even though the guesthouse was fully booked. Upstairs we have a Large Honesty Bar which keeps the drinks nice and cold and is always fully stocked for our guests. I must disagree with the fact that you mentioned our drinks are not cheap. At the V&A waterfront you pay R36.00 for a beer - At a local pub you pay R21.00 for a beer and from our honesty bar you pay R18.00 for a beer, our soft drinks = R12.00 each, Water = R14.00 for a 500ml just to mention a few items from the honesty bar. To shed light on the fact that your bed linen was not changed for the 5 days you were with us, was obviously because of the water restrictions Cape Town is going through (Although your bathroom towelling was changed twice in the 5 days you were with us). I am very pleased to announce that it was said yesterday in our local news that Day Zero has been postponed indefinitely because the residents as well as the visitors to our beautiful city have all been doing their part in saving our most precious resource and we want to thank you and all our lovely guests that have stayed with us through this drought for your support in helping us save water. Just to mention - our Large salt water pool is full and crystal clear - our showers and toilet facilities are functioning just fine and there is plenty of drinking water in the honesty bar. I wish to welcome Lauri and yourself back to our lovely property in the near future and hopefully this time we can get you a nice room upstairs with a balcony and a sea-view. Best location, excellent value for money in Cape Town. Would definitely stay here again or recommend. If you are looking for a personalised experience away from the hustle and bustle of a large hotel this is a great option.
