Stayed here for 5 nights in January. Hotel is lovely, our room was very spacious, with a seating area outside. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful. It is a short taxi ride out to the V&A waterfront, but Ubers were readily available and very cheap. There is a lovely indoor pool. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the hop on hop off bus stop is just a few minutes walk.

We had a lovely start to our holiday with a few days here. We received a warm welcome along with a prosecco which was an excellent start to our holiday. It was a great base to explore Cape Town, small with a boutique feel, attentive and helpful staff and stylish decor. Diverson deserves a special mention for working extra hard to make our stay special. We did enjoy the pool but despite being apparently heated it was very cold! The bar and restaurant area was small but a lovely place for a drink and a good place to watch the sunset from. It was very easy to order ubers for evening meals which were very reasonable but we also walked to two restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel. We seemed to be the only people staying at the time and we were accommodated with breakfast times to suit are plans for the day when we needed an earlier start.

The cable car up Table Mountain is a must as are the walks at the top!

We stayed here for 2 nights when we arrived in Cape Town from London. Nothing but positive things to say about this hotel.

Hotel Area:
The hotel is out of the main built up areas of Cape Town but is easy walking distance to Regent Street, which has a number of really nice restaurants and bars. I would recommend going to the Mojo Market. There is a city sightseeing bus top about 5 min walk away that will take you to v&a waterfront, long street and table mountain.

Hotel Staff:
We arrived before check in but we’re welcomed with a glass of bubbly and given a very good orientation on how to get around Cape Town and where to go. The staff were really amazing throughout our stay. To top it all off they placed candles and some sparkling wine in our room on final night as we were celebrating our honeymoon. We thought this was a really nice touch.

Room & Hotel facilities:
Really good space and fantastic facilities. Very comfortable bed and the aircon kept us nicely cool. The rooms are of a really high spec. The pool are and the lounging space are also good areas to relax. Security is also good with multiple layers of access.

Food:
Breakfast was really pleasant and I’d recommend ordering the french toast!

To conclude we really rate this hotel and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else if we return to Cape Town.

We stayed in O On Kloof for 5 nights at the beginning of our Honeymoon. From the minute we set foot on the property we were well looked after. Every member of staff took an interest in us and was super friendly and welcoming. We spent Christmas in the hotel and they helpfully prebooked dinner in Camps Bay. They advised us of local resteraunts and bars a d were happy to advise and organise outings. With Uber everywhere is very accessible. Great views from all sides of the property and a short walk to the prom. The room itself was very spacious and had a lovely en suit. Will defo be back and would encourage anyone and everyone to stay :). Diverson and Sheppard were particularly helpful, all the staff are fab!!!

We had a lovely quiet room with a small outside patio area. There are loungers and other seating areas too. The bed was huge, and really comfortable. Superb bathroom, Air Con was silent and worked, decent mini-bar. A good bar in the hotel lounge, which was spacious, inviting and comfortable. The salt-water pool was lovely, and there's a small free-weights area nearby. Excellent breakfasts until 10.30. And the staff were fantastic, so helpful and welcoming. We had a few health problem while there, and they were very helpful. Uber cabs are usually just a few minutes away, and lovely restaurants within walking distance. We would definately recommend, and would come back again.

When we arrived in South Africa, this was our first hotel. We were warmly welcomed and the room was excellent. The staff were charm, politeness and efficiency itself.
There is nice indoor pool. The hotel is outside the centre but within easy reach. If you fancy the tour bus around town and to the Table Rock cablecar, then the pickup is about 400 yards away. There loads of eateries, from taco joints to the excellent la mouette and Strolla. An Uber into town was about £2.70 with tip. It felt safe to walk about.
At the end of our holiday, the apocalypse was upon us and after a 200 mile drive to Robertson, we found our hotel closed. Although empty and preparing for the lockdown, the proprietors of O On Kloof opened up and accepted us for an overnight, before we scrambled to get home. I will always be grateful for the kindness and generosity they showed us that day in allowing us another day in this beautiful hotel. When the world settles down, this will be our first stop again in this glorious country.

A little late.
This was booked through out travel agent as part of our Garden route-ish tour. We had three nights here in early October, it was easy to find with SatNav from Cape Town airport, parking was easy and help was on hand to help with our luggage. Check-in nice and easy, information about the hotel was given. We were on a ground floor, the room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable for us, and slept well. Breakfast was good. We were out all day, so cannot comment on any of their amenities.
We came back to a couple of nights that had load shredding (power cuts), there were candles everywhere giving it a nice ambiance. We spent a bit of time chatting to the staff at the bar. We had a problem with a prearranged tour, and I believe the lady was called Murechelle (sp) helped us out tremendously. If they have the same staff, then we would definitely return.
Regent Street (shops & restaurants) is walkable, bearing in mind that it's down hill, so on your return it's up hill.

Had a great stay at O on Kloof. Great location for getting around Cape Town, just under an hours walk to Camps Bay. Felt safe and there are plenty of shops/restaurants close by at Sea Point. The breakfast was really good, great selection from the buffet and the hot breakfasts were always nice too.

Special mention to the staff, especially Aaron, Diverson & Shepard, who were always smiling and helpful!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and found it clean, safe and friendly. It was a great base for us to explore Cape Town. The breakfast was superb and Karen and her staff were very helpful in explaining where to go and eat etc.
Sleep quality was good and it was a really quiet area. We made use of the indoor pool.
We highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Is the hotel near a bus route to the centre of Cape Town please?
Answer from OonKloofHotel
Cape Town Central, South Africa
The hop on hop off sightseeing bus has a stop close to the hotel if you want to explore Cape Town. It has stops at Table mountain for the cable cars, as well as the V&A Waterfront from where you do the Robben Island tour. Because it drives only one way in one big circle, it does take longer to get to where you want to be though. If you just want to go to one place, Uber is definitely the way to go. Very easy to download and use the app, and it normally takes less than 5 minutes for a driver to pick you up in front of the hotel. Kind regards The O on Kloof team
