I cannot say a single negative thing about our recent stay in this hotel. We booked a studio suite with sea views but on arrival we recieved a complimentary upgrade to their penthouse suite and what an amazing room it was. A huge room, fantastic bathroom and the balcony and views were so good. The sunset from the balcony was breathtaking and we were able to watch a whale simming in the bay (from afar). All of the staff were incredibly friendly and the whole place has such a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was really nice and to eat it whilst looking out towards the ocean was great. They brought the breaksfast. With regards to location, I felt it was perfect for us. Very quiet but during the day it felt extremely safe walking down to Camps Bay (took us 50mins) with great views

Just stayed at 52 de wet for a week and had the best time ever. The room we stayed in was spacious and had everything we needed.even my wife getting the booking wrong could not spoil the trip as Russell kindly accommodated us in the penthouse suite for an extra night. The room and balcony were stunning. All the staff a very attentive and so polite. A special mention for Georgia who is lovely and makes love gin cocktails in the evening. Russell cooked for us on our first night and the meal was gorgeous. The lemon tart is to die for!! I loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be going back. Russell and Marnie are such a lovely couple and do such a great job with the hotel. I just wish I could have bought one of the bronze sculptures on display which were amazing.

Thank you Adam for your review, it was lovely to meet you both, the team and myself are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Russell's lemon tart has become some what of a staple at 52 De Wet and now often popped into guests rooms as a little turndown gift, I am thrilled that you enjoyed it as much as I do. I hope that we will welcome you again soon and perhaps next time you'll leave with one of Robins sculptures. Best Wishes, Marnie

Nice little place in a quiet luxurious street with outstanding service and spotless clean rooms. Common area has an espetacular western view with the famous CP sunset. Like in most hotels here the breakfast is very good and this adds its own flavors with accommodations for special orders. Great for couples.

This is a little gem of a hotel. Peaceful and luxurious. Do get the room with oceanview and balcony/ terrace. It feels like your own private house. Huge with lovely outdoor lounges. View is amazing especially at night all sparkly. Rooms and hotel and pool spotlessly clean. Staff wonderful. safe hotel, save surroundings. Not a fault at all. Do go!

We have just returned from a two hotel stay in Cape Town, the first being 52 De Wet. I have just read the review below and couldn't believe it was the same place we stayed at. To be honest, when my husband booked it, I was a bit sceptical at staying at such a small place. However I was totally wrong in my assumption. We wanted somewhere away from the dock area which was our second port of call and having been to Cape Town a few times before, just wanted a relaxing, chilled out stay. After an eleven hour night flight from the UK we were offered to use the day room and hot drinks as the weather was blustery. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel totally comfortable. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has lovely staff, Georgia, Phyllis, Glory and a few others whose names
