Enchanted Guest Lodge was a fantastic find. It was has an excellent location in Bantry Bay and the rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was super helpful. I would definitely use them again if my travels take me back to Cape Town
The location was fantastic , the people were friendly and could assist with all queries. The rooms needed some work- Curtain tie backs not affixed to the wall. Blind in Bathroom was faulty. The TV system +channels require an upgrade
Normally when my wife and I travel abroad we look for a hotel with all facilities available. This time we wanted to look at all options and considered a guest house stay. Having looked at positive reviews on Trip Advisor about the Enchanted Guest House we decided to try out this property, an important decision as we were due to stay for nine nights. We spoke and booked directly with the owner Ridwaan stressing the need for a sea view and a good quality room. We were not disappointed. Room 8 had a sea view albeit between two adjacent buildings flanking the guest house, was very roomy with a comfortable shower and toilet area. There was a large balcony from the room with table and chairs and direct staircase access to the ground floor pool area, with the latter being a bit small and not heated. There were other rooms available but these appeared slightly smaller and with garden or pool views. Not full which probably helped, but the service from all staff was excellent, and a more than adequate breakfast provision. For other meals Sea Point is a maximum ten minute walk away with all its restaurants. For steaks a definite is "Brads Place". Tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel is also an experience not to be missed if possible. We were both very comfortable at this location and would happily endorse to other travelers. The place is not far nor hidden if you bother to check out the location map first, in fact it can be accessed direct from the promenade on one side or main road on the other, with the red hop on hop off buses being both close by and a good way to get around. Ridwaan also offers tours of the various sights and this can be negotiated with him on arrival, he also picked us up from the train station and took us to the airport.…
Our flight was delayed and we got to the Enchanted guest house at 4 am. We were already planning to sleep in the car but the staff of the Enchanted guest house allowed house to check in and have a good sleep!
From the moment I arrived, I felt such lovely vibes from the guest house. Every morning the food was so nice and I always felt the warmth and great service coming from each person working in the guest house. The views were absolutely gorgeous and I’ll definitely be coming back super soon
Guest house sheets were smelling, breakfast had flies and some rooms didn't have towels. The place was smelling and rooms were dirty. The place is far and you can't find it as it is hidden near sea po
From the moment I arrived at Enchanted, I was enchanted. The location is at the foot of the ocean, and nestled right at the bottom of the mountain, also walking distance from the shops and local hangouts. I went for daily beach walks down to Clifton, often accompanied by the Enchante owner, Ridwaan, who shared knowledge and wonder about the city of Cape Town. He took me on tours around Cape Town and up many adventurous mountains. There was never a dull moment. The receptionist, Kylie, is the most delightful lady to see first thing in the morning. Her constant happy energy and bright smile, along with her natural ability to know who you are and what you would enjoy in the Cape, was a breath of fresh air. Mohammed is their right hand man and was always happy to assist me with anything I needed. As a solo traveller I enjoy a cosy space to call my own for the week, and I felt exactly that - at home. Enchanted offered everything I was seeking. From the outdoor activities, to my "time-out" in the room with aircon and high speed internet for my work - all thay I needed was provided. They are very welcoming here and went out of their way to accomodate me. Thank you Enchanted for such an experience. You are my new Cape Town travel home.…
I stayed here for a week as part of The Varne Ridge Robben Island Swim Camp . Riduan and Kylie couldn't have been nicer or more helpful . Nothing was a trouble to them . . Very clean and comfortable accommodation , close to everything . Highly recommend .
Ridwaan and Kylie have been amazing right from the start of booking the whole of Enchanted for two weeks for our two Robben Island Swim Camps. Nothing was too much trouble. Right from airport transfers, to accommodating dietary requirements, to organising tours, cooking a braai for each camp. The feedback from our 22 guests who stayed there during the two weeks was more than positive and they all said they felt like they were at home and being hosted by friends. We look forward to bringing our two camps back to Enchanted again next year.
