We are staying at the Cabannas. It has been nothing short of perfect and absolutely excellent At check in yesterday. Clement was awesome. Friendly, professional and just all round awesome. The rooms have been recently upgraded and are stunning and super modern The restaurant, Sun International you can be so proud of what you are pulling off. The food is packaged so there is no risk of cross contamination and no spread of COVID. Yes if you want hot breakfast you MIGHT have to que but we didn’t see any ques, because you have to be served so you don’t have everyone and their Aunty touching everything but in the grand Scheme of thing I would rather wait to be served then run the risk of disease. The buses are clean and everyone is sterilized before entry. The restaurants at the welcome center are super clean and there is a lovely gentleman (whose name I have forgotten) that is so attentive and makes sure that very surface is cleaned before you sit and after you get up. You literally could eat off the table that’s how clean it is. The Valley of the waves is fantastic and so clean. There are people walking around sterilizing everything. Visited the hotel for 4 nights, 2 of the nights we had very roudy guests opposite us that kept us and our baby up until 1am, we did not complain but had informed the concierge the following day. The following night we then reported the noisy guests from 9:30pm until midnight, and at 1am the manager got them out the room and into the open where the party continued after paramedics were called in after alcohol abuse was evident. This was our second and last stay, the hotel was supposed to be a restful getaway, but with the hotel unable to control the noise levels (other guests confirmed that we were not being unreasonable as they were also kept up) this will not be a place to consider visiting again. We had requested for a manager to call us to discuss these grievances on checkout, but 4 days later and no call. Hence the poor review online as no contact has been made. …

We visited the Cabanas Hotel at Sun City for a weekend away. The Hotel is great for families offering a lovely swimming pool and easy access to other facilities at the Sun City Resort. Unfortunately due to the lockdown most of the facilities were not open yet, although the Sun City website mentioned that it was indeed open. That was quite disappointing as our expectation was that we could do a few activities. We ended up driving all the way to Sun City and spending a lot of money to only be at the Hotel swimming pool. It was the first open weekend for the Hotel and the Staff did a fantastic job coping with the influx of people on Friday afternoon. All the people we engaged with was very friendly and told us that they missed us. The room was very basic and although we requested a Lake View Family Room we got a room very far away from the lake. People next to us were smoking in their room, although the entire hotel was non-smoking. We did raise it with the Reception. The only solution they could come up with was to move us. It was late at night and we have young children with us. The fridge in our room also did not work. Overall the experience was average. I am not sure if I will return to the hotel.…

Booked at Cabanas, but was called when I was 20 minutes away saying I was moved to the Soho. When I arrived at Sun City, I found out why, it was not opened yet, they said. While at the Soho. I walked to the Cabanas to find the pool green, all the facilities and restaurants closed. They are not ready to open for sure

A special "shout-out" to Beverley Huet from Sun International Central Office. Beverly assisted us with this booking. She went through extraordinary lengths to re-book and re-book our booking due to circumstances out our control. She was very understanding and helpful. Cabanas staff and facilities are of impeccable standard. Even though we stayed their during winter, their service and quality did not go into hibernation!
