Pleasant welcome and good check in and baggage delivery. Rooms spacious but are starting to look dated. Room lighting needs to be improved. Cleaning and turndown are very good. Complimentary bottle of red wine in the room followed by daily fruit and water. Tea and coffee facilities. Bed very comfortable. A bedtime nougat is left on your pillow each night-...

The hotel is very impressive, it is very large and attached to a water park. The rooms are very nice, large, quiet and clean. The food was very good although there was a long wait to be seated for breakfast.

The palace of the lost city. This hotel is stunning in its architecture and grounds are simply an authentic African aesthetic treat. The hotel beauty continues inside, the reception area is a delight and certainly lets you know this is Africa. Through the reception you come to a beautiful staircase leading down to the crystal court dining area which again...

Dear Louise M Fantastic to see that you had a " Magical Time" at The Palace. With the high occupancy and the cold weather , we did run a queue at breakfast. WE are glad that you also took the time to go out and about and enjoyed the "African" Experience. We hope to see you soon again Kind regards

Breakfasts were sumptuous and we were provided with a wide array of choices but was repetitive over three days. Rooms were dark , dated, with little extras. Toilet cubicle presented a problem due to small size. Fittings were disappointing with lighting a major problem. Corridors to the room were poorly lit and overall created a very poor image . The...

I've stay here numerous of times and this was by far the worst experience I've had. Firstly we were at breakfast and there was water dripping on us from those very high ceilings, I informed management and they carried on as if it was part of the experience. This problem could have been better handled, they could have close the...

The breakfast selection is like no other I've ever come across. The staff was always friendly. The hotel generally is okay (although getting old for its price). The bathrooms (specifically toilet section) needs revamping to being more modern. The overall sanitation system is old and we had a sink blockage twice during our 7 night stay.

From the moment we entered the lobby it felt like we were transported to another world. Exquisite detail. Our room had an amazing view of the lake and the breakfast area. We also had a lot of laughs making our way through the labyrinth. I'd definitely recommend, especially for families with children!

Maybe our expectations were a bit high. We wanted a decent meal and access to the palace. Service was poor not consistent with a 5* hotel. Had to ask for cutlery to eat with and stop waitress pouring red wine into a used white wine glass - she proceeded to take my partners unused glass. Good arrived. The steak tartare...
