Warm, welcoming and friendly staff. Rooms are small, but neat and clean. Air coolers in the rooms needs to be replaced with decent aircons that actually does something. Bathroom mats are much needed when stepping out of the shower.
Just great staff, great environment, clean rooms, location great. The service was complimented by the very friendly and courteous staff. We are are regulars as the lodge provides a sort of half way mark between destinations and we enjoy it every time.
i enjoyed spending a night there , it was great being there with my daughter , she had a great experience being the first staying out in a hotel room. the place is in the central of shops and restaurants in case you decide to eat out. the staff were so friendly and so helpful.
Room was fine for the price. They now have coffee in the room as well. However, the hotel attracts some inconsiderate guest who do not know how to behave in a hotel. Noisy groups arriving frequently throughout the night, even at 3:00 and 4:00 in the morning. So, if a good night's sleep is important to you, rather try a guest house in town.
This Road Lodge is located close to a mall and you have so many options for where to eat. The staff were friendly. The room was clean even though there was a smocking smell, atleast i was informed about the smocking area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.Looking forward for another stay. Would recommend this Road Lodge any day!
It does welcome you into the biggest producer of platinum in the world (Rustenburg). Just next to the mall you can even walk there. along the N4 highway either to Pretoria or Mafikeng. Only 45 kilometres to Sun City. You also have access to Pilanesburg game reserve and airport
On checking in i informed Innocent who i must say is always helpful and a pleasure to arrive into the hotel and meet...that i would have 4 adults and 3 children. So 2 rooms were booked, after dinner in the evening we then went down to reception and ask the lady for additional pillows and blankets. she informed that the pillows had run out but we were given 2 blankets. At about 11:45 i heard someone trying to open our room with a card, on inspection i found the security at the door. when asking him what he was doing he informed that reception had told him to come and check what we were doing with blankets in the room. For a person who utilised the road lodge in umhlanga 4 weeks ago, and town lodge in gabarone 3 weeks ago and town lodge in nelspruit the weekend before i found this kind of behaviour to be an invasion of my privacy and undermining my intelligence. I was close to asking for my money back and finding myself and my family another establishment which understood that i required excellent customer service.…
The hotel is close to the mall. N4 highway and to many other amnenities .When I was checking in,was informed that the hotel has no power due to power outage. However they managed to find my booking and allocate a room. The room was a typical budget hotel room with a neat and descent bed. Later in the evening the power came back. Managed to shower and sleep. Its an OK hotel if you are on transit, stop over or business trip for a day. The price met the expectactions.
The hotel rooms are small and its is good enough for an overnight stay. The personnel at the Hotel are very friendly snd assist where they can. The prices are very reasonable. There are no safes in the rooms however and you need to be self sufficient with snacks and beverages. I will make use of the Hotel again.
Its a budget hotel, very affordable, close to waterfall mall and platinum square. The lodge has free wifi, and they offer well balanced breakfast. Please well in advance, as it's a very busy and popular lodge close to necessary amenities
