Since 2000 we have worked hard to establish and grow Ons Dorpshuis Guesthouse from only a few Self Catering units to a combined mix of 47 different three and four star graded rooms. We are currently an established and well known brand in Rustenburg and we are proud to say that we have succeeded to find the balance between giving our guests either a luxurious stay in our four star graded guest houses or a more practical budget stay in our three star graded self-catering apartments. All our facilities, rooms and houses have a definite "WOW" factor but simultaneously provide a place that makes each person feel right at home. We have been complimented on our creativity and unexpected practical approach to everything! But please do note: Due to our gradual and "organic" growth our houses are not all on the same stand/property and our guests may have to travel between 20m, 50m, 100m and a few kilometres to get from the main reception to a specific unit. Our friendly staff will always accompany our self-catering guests to the offsite units to assist with the book-in process and to answer any relevant questions. The majority of our guests are people travelling to Rustenburg to work in the area. We are however perfectly situated to accommodate guests, travelling between South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. Due to our close proximity to Gauteng as well as pleasant weather, we are also the answer to weekend and holiday guests, looking for a reasonable place to stay whilst exploring the area and enjoying the many things to do around town. We are small enough to care, but big enough to give you choice.

Guesthouses a little scattered, can be hard to find in the darkness. Many bars and restaurants close early. Big road markers / signs on highway to direct. Acceptable studio with room for three. Short 45 min drive to Pilanesberg for a low-budget self-drive safari.

As a regular traveller I spend many nights in guest houses. Ons Dorpshuis is a place close to my heart. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms spacious and luxurious and the surroundings neat, well thought through and safe. A place I have returned to on many occasions. The breakfasts are legendary!

Stayed in one of the 2units on the owners property across the road from the guesthouse. It was a quaint and cosy bedroom with ensuite. There was a braai facility outside the unit in a quaint little garden with garden furniture. Was very peaceful and quiet. Only downfall was that there was no wifi connection in those units...bumber!!

I have stayed at many guest houses during my career and this is truly the best one I've stayed at during a business trip. When I arrived at the guest house I felt at home immediately. The breakfast and dinner were also very delicious and the staff was very accommodating with regards to special dietary requirements. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Service levels to a high level - all interactions and requests were dealt with, with a ready smile and good level of courtesy. Room was large and all equipment found functional. Cleanliness to high standard. Wifi free and functional - could livestream football without any issues. Reasonable hot breakfast. Dinner was trayed to room (nice touch), but not to my taste - samp and stew is not everyone's favourite

Room clean, neat, tidy and comfortable, but overall bit expensive for what it is @ R 775.00 per night and then still another R 95.00 for a breakfast that's not good value at all?! (No decent brewed coffee - just instant and very limited hot offering as well with no bacon even available?!) Rather spend the R 95 or even less at a decent coffee shop or wimpy etc! All in all OK, but will definitely skip breakfast next time or look for alternative.

I am on a mission to find all the gems around Rustenburg and I love Ons Dorpshuis! This place guest house has been designed with so much love and definitely has a distinctive style. I loved exploring all the nooks and crannies, looking for new surprises. Alna's mother is a great artist and a lot of the great pieces are made by Hannetjie Visser (her mom). Each room's design is different, they are all very comfortable and clean. The staff is professional, friendly and efficient and the food is great. If you have a chance; stay here!

The apartments are cleaned daily and equipped with everything your need. You get big rooms and the apartments have dstv. Shame that the apartments were located 3 km away from the reception, where there was a lot of noise at night. The beds, sadly, were not good.

The staff was excellent. The units was great. But... As we came back from a night out we didn't had any electricity. As like they forgot about us. And second the gate remote didn't work also. If it wasn't for other people to came back we would have to sleep outside in my car.
