We manage an organic farm, with 5 self-catering cottages, on the southern slopes of one of the oldest mountain ranges - "The Magaliesberg." 'Rosemary, Geranium and Protea' cottages - 1 bedroom (queen bed), bathroom with spa bath, shower and separate toilet, living area with lounge, open log fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining area and patio with BBQ facility. All rooms lead out through sliding glass doors onto the patio, overlooking panoramic views. 'Lavender' cottage - 2 bedrooms (queen bed and twins), main bathroom en suite and 2nd bathroom, living area with lounge, open log fireplace, fully eqipped kitchen, dining area and 2 patios with BBQ facility. All rooms lead out through sliding doors onto the patios, overlooking panoramic views. 'The Aloes' cottage - 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms en suite (spa baths and showers), living area with lounge, open log fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining area and 2 patios with BBQ facility. All rooms lead out through sliding doors onto the 2 patios, overlooking panoramic views. There is DSTV at the guest lounge at the farmhouse. A swimming pool and Lapa area are in an established garden. Nature walks down to the field and up the mountainside, abundant birdlife and nature's beauty, provide ample opportunities for wonderful photography. Activities and attractions are within an hour's drive from the farm, e.g. canopy tours, hot air ballooning, horse riding, wild animal conservation centres, Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, Sun City and many more. As we manage our farm personally, we assure your comfort is our pleasure! We know you will leave with an imprint on your soul ... your hosts, Alan and Jenny Mosley.

Is it's an action-packed, children-centric holiday venue you're after, then Thirsty Falls is not for you. But if it's peace and solitude you need, surrounded by the grandeur of the African bush, with bird calls for company and a magnificent mountain backdrop, then Thirsty Falls is highly recommended.
Alan and Jenny, the hospitable owners, are unobtrusively available to assist when needed. The well appointed chalets are very comfortable and lend themselves to the enjoyment of a tranquil bush break.

What a pleasant visit. All was perfectly set out. Clean, lovely rooms, fireplace was awesome, warm in the room (heater provided). View spectacular, very private. Cabins secluded, away from other guests. Kitchen fully equipped. Will definitely see us again. Thank you kind souls for having us at your beautiful retreat.

For a city escape, Thirsty Falls is the most relaxing escape into the country. The peaceful surrounds is sure to rejuvenate oneself. Wake to the sounds of birds and the call of the baboons! :)
Thank you Jenny and Alan - as always, you are the most gracious hosts.

Lovely quiet cottage, surrounded by indigenous flora. Birdlife was great! Well kitted cottage, comfortable beds. All was clean and Jenny was a lovely host. Would certainly stay again, next time I am in the area.

The location of Thirsty fall is good with lovely views and not far from JHB
I do think that our cottage (Geranium) is a need of a good refurbishment. The bedding was especially poor. Some of the kitchen equipment needs replacing. For the cost of R900 per night I expected better quality and was really disappointed.

I would suggest this guest farm to all city dwellers. It's close enough to break away for the weekend but yet far away from the city buzz. Waking up every morning in our private secluded unit to the beautiful bird sounds was absolute bliss. The view from our private balcony was amazing. The units are very neat and fully equipped for self-catering, no need to bring any utensils or tableware. And the fireplace is perfect for those cold winter evenings.

Stayed at Thirsty Falls for 3 night as a family get away.
Off the main road and after a bumpy dirt road you reach the lovely Thirsty Falls headed up by the great hosts - Jenny and Alan. With a warm welcome and a great location you feel right at home. We stayed at the Aloes house which is spacious, well equipped and with a great view out.
So if you are in the Magaliesburg area and want some peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the busy city then look no further.

The weekend was exactly what I wanted, quiet, peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. The cottages are perfectly set out, with all the requirements and simple but decorative touches. I will definitely be going again !

We spent two nights in June. The lodge was confortable and an amazing view from the terrace. It was quiet and relaxing. We appreciate the fireplace in the evening. If you looking for relaxing time, I'll recommend that place.

Beautiful luscious green surrounds will certainly make you feel like you are one with nature – bringing you the much needed serenity away from city life, this place is nothing short of amazing! Completely noise free and well thought out – the rooms were spotlessly clean with a fully equipped kitchen (especially if you like to braai but don’t have any utensils!) with an impressively calming spa bath in the bathrooms. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back soon,
Jenny and Alan were incredibly welcoming and engaging – thank you so much for making our stay with you so pleasant!!

Hi We use a Hospitality range of beds from Hi Tech Foam mattress manufacturers in Chamdor, who have a website to view on the make up of their beds. What we like is that there are two options - Soft & Firm, which provide an enjoyable nights sleep as also confirmed by our guests. Thank You .
