This is possibly one of the worst hotels that I’ve actually ever stayed in. I don’t think the rooms have been cleaned in the last six months the door locks are all broken because of someone trying to steal or break into these premises. The reception ladies are very friendly but so slow that you can die waiting. My room is so far away from my vehicle it takes me 15 minutes just to walk to my car. The rooms have an unpleasant odor they could do with a complete refurbish - if you’re paying R150 or R200 a night this could be acceptable but you not. The dinner was overtly low quality food that must be avoided and the picture of the lovely Train cart where you can eat is no longer in use. The staff are friendly This is very much a local holiday for locals and it is on the lowest end possible. If you’re a tourist do you homework very very carefully.

We had a great time even though it rain almost the whole weekend.

I'm at the Orion Hotel in Rustenburg. Earlier this morning while going for breakfast and as i was entering the dinning area (but still outside in the verandah) i fell sooooo terribly hard, my back and neck are sore and i've just realised now that my phone is also slightly cracked and speaker totally damaged, i suppose from the shock of drop- all of a sudden I cannot hear anything on it anymore- not voice notes and not phone calls. It makes no sense to me that you would not put a mat so that when people walk in they do not slip and fall. The area looks like it has some grip, but it actually has none, it's just the paint they use of the floor that gives one that effect. The pain is excruciating and obviously without a phone my work will all be compromised, which is the reason i'm hear in the first place, to conduct interviews- well. i guess i cant record anything now. I need my speaker fixed before i go back to Cape Town and if my back and neck continue, you have to cover to hospital bill.

My room had a strange smell, the furniture was old and chipped and the room not clean at all. Walls were cracked in bathroom and bedroom. Curtains and carpet were filthy. Conference facilities were not to standard, equipment would not function. Had a real baboon run down the conference facility corridor. Checked out an hour after checking in. Total waste of money, nothing like the web pictures. To be avoided at all costs!

This lodge is nice for someone who do not mind being too close to nature. Tranquillity! The rooms could use a renovation as they are outdated and everything in there except TVs is old!!! Friendly staff.

My manager and I came for work purposes on 17 September 2018. The shock we had when we saw what the place looked like and the rooms. It was so old fashioned with old wooden desks and cupboards. In a very town town set up. With these creepy stairway and stray cats. There were no other guests on this block. Which seemed like a very old hostel room. Felt very unsafe and traumatized. Reception area is all fancy but what’s the point when the room I have to stay in is so horrible. Please avoid at any cost. The staff then have the audacity to ask us what’s wrong with the rooms and we know very well that they know the condition of the place. And the place extremely overpriced. Totally not worth it. Please improve and make it a more human place to stay at.

The hotel is firstly extremely over priced for services offered. Rooms need maintenance and improving (one plug point and it didn't work). Amenities were HORRIBLE. Put put course is dirty and old, couldn't actually play at all! Service at the bar restaurant was terrible, our waitress had attitude and a long face. All in all - I was VERY disappointed with the hotel.
