We spent three beautiful nights in this gem. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and felt right at home. The twice daily game drives were interesting and some had very exciting moments. At one point we were surrounded by a very calm but large herd of elephants. The calves had us in stitches with their antics. Hearing the lions roaring early in the morning made my day. It goes straight through you. The biggest part of what made the stay memorable was the team. Malcom was a gracious and friendly host and Martin's game drives and knowledge makes this more than just a Lodge. From chatting in the evenings around the fire pit or in the well stocked bar made us feel more like friends than guests. The balance of being available but unobtrusive is welcome. The chef outdid herself at every meal. From melt in your mouth pork belly to delicious high cakes, it was all sublime. The rooms are ultra luxurious and spacious. Coming back from a wet and chilly game drive I was so happy to find a hot bath drawn with candles and aromatic bath salts. I can highly recomend Tambuti to anyone wanting a Bush getaway. I went away relaxed and happy and knowing I'd love to return at some time in the future. Thanks so team! A really great job!

Tambuti Lodge is one of the best places I have ever stayed at - welcoming from the minute you step out the car.
The host, Malcolm, is so friendly and accommodating for anything you may need. Edith, the chef, cooks the most unbelievable food you will taste - top class with everything she makes. Martin, the game driver, was so knowledgable and happy to answer any questions we had about the animals after he had given us the amazing facts. We were able to see majority of the animals there; lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebra, giraffe, rhino...some so close you could almost touch them (but don’t!).

I would recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of going on safari. The standard of tambuti lodge in everything they do is 10/10 for me.

Thankyou

As returning guests, we loved staying at Tambuti Lodge, a five-star destination when it comes to service, location, and rest. Our immaculately clean, private room was luxurious and had everything we could need. The COVID-19 protocols were exemplary. We cannot say enough about the uniquely South African hospitality and kindness of the staff, who put a big effort into every single detail, and make Tambuti Lodge what it is: The warm welcome by Stinneke, our host, and Jacques on arrival, their attentive service and a personal atmosphere ensured that we felt thoroughly comfortable during our entire stay. Riaan, the extremely talented chef, proudly presented his mouth-watering dishes, which delighted our senses every time. The breakfasts served under the tambuti trees were memorable. The game drives with Jacques, a walking Wikipedia, were phenomenal. We had excellent sightings during our stay not to mention the Amarula coffee served during the morning game drives and the sundowners as the sun was setting. The romantic private candlelight dinner, served on our room deck, and the beautiful room set up, in celebration of our wedding anniversary, was a warm and sincere surprise. We have amazing memories thanks to Tambuti Lodge and cannot recommend them highly enough!

We stayed at Tambuti for 4 nights on our honeymoon, and had the most incredible time! We saw a lot of game: lions, cheetah + cubs, loads of elephants and rhino, buffalo to name a few. Martin, our game ranger, was incredibly knowledgeable and explained a lot about the animals' behaviour during our drives. He was constantly in contact with other rangers about recent sightings so that we didn't miss anything.
The lodge is beautiful, the rooms spacious and comfortable, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were incredible attentive, kind and helpful - they really went above and beyond to make our stay special.
All meals are communal, but on our first night the staff prepared a private dinner for us since it was our honeymoon. When we got back from the evening game drive, they had lit loads of candles in our room and set up a beautiful table on our private patio with sparkling wine!
One of my favourite moments of each day was the sundowner drinks in the park during the evening game drive. Being in the middle of the bush with a glass of wine whilst the sun sets - an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend Tambuti and will definitely be back.

This unforgettable 2 days stay at Tambuti Lodge has been exceptional. We were friendly welcomed by our host Irene and her staff. Everything was so professionally handled. Our room was top notch so was our game drives by Jacques (who has years of experience and knows nature from plants, birds and all animals) to their cleaning staff, maintenance and kitchen Staff. Their chefs food selection and preparation = excellence.

It was our wedding anniversary and upon our game drive return we were overwhelmed with the preparations done for a candle lit dinner on our private patio !!

Well done to this - can I say Boutique Lodge - in the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. HIGHLY recommended for exceptionally high service levels. Well done!!

The staff at Tambuti lodge ensures that your stay is one to remember. Our guide, Jacques, was so entertaining on each safari - he always tried to catch us with a riddle or a joke, he shared a lot of his wisdom about the bushveld and animals and he was very patient with all our questions. Stinneke managed our stay at the lodge and always had a cup of coffee, a meal or a story ready, with a big smile (underneath the mask of course). The chefs, Edith and Riaan, prepared the most delicious meals and always came to the table to explain what they had prepared. The lodge is impeccable and the rest of the staff is always busy improving your stay (from cleaning rooms / turn-down service or even setting-up of romantic dinners on your private patio).

We cannot thank the team enough for making our short holiday memorable. We highly recommend Tambuti lodge for your next getaway.

Tambuti Lodge was such a pleasant surprise. The lodge only has 5 beautiful decorated, spacious rooms. Ideal for a quiet weekend away. It is one of the best maintained lodges I have ever been to.No door handle or shower spray or similar issue. Nothing, you can see maintenance at the lodge is taken seriously. The service was absolutely excellent. The staff are attentive to the guests needs and really go out their way to make the weekend pleasurable. Lots of special touches seen throughout the weekend.
The cook, Edith is a gem. She came to explain every dish she prepared, beautifully dished up. Very tasty dishes.
On the Friday night of our stay, The team set up a private dinner on the patio of our room for us. Bubbly for my birthday, candles everywhere, bath run, the room beautiful. Also a special cake for my birthday.
The game drives was great, we saw all the big 5...leopard just a glimpse.
Definitely a lodge to visit.

Our stay at Tambuti was great. It is small and intimate, which is the whole point of being in the bush. Unlike the other large hotels and lodges in the area, Tambuti is extremely boutique. All the staff know you and are available around the clock to sort any request. We went for our anniversary, just one night, and we only casually mentioned it when we arrived. Then after our evening game drive we returned to a surprise private dinner in our suite - they took the initiative to arrange something special for us and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a quite personalized experience.
