We really enjoyed our 2 days here. The game drives were the priority, of course, and Riaan went out of his way to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. He shared his immense knowledge of all kinds of animals and birds, which was almost as important as actually seeing them! Didn't get to see lion but cheetah (+cubs), hippo, rhinos, elephants, wildebeest, zebra, jackal, buffalo. Rooms are spacious and well designed with an outdoor shower as well as a full conventional bathroom. Honesty bar in the attractive lounge with fair prices. The pool if fine for cooling down during the day. Copious breakfast including a wide range of hot options cooked to order. Dinner from a short a la carte menu well prepared and nicely presented. Everyone on the staff team was friendly, courteous and keen to ensure we had a good experience. Highly recommended!

We stayed for two nights (27th to 29th) but wish we stayed more. We were two families. 4 adults with 4 teenagers. On the right hand side from entrance there are two large bedrooms/suites with sitting area, huge bathroom with inside and outside showers about 3 meters apart. On the left hand side there are two more large bedrooms/suites, the one with a loft and sleeps 4 and the other one identical to the ones on the right. Also huge bathrooms with inside and outside showers. In the middle, about 8 meters away from either side of the suites is a main area which has a patio with 8 seater patio table, a boma, a pool and sunchair with two sun umbrellas. Inside is a huge dining room with 12 seater table, a sitting TV area with guest loo, a bar with bar fridge and with pool table and board games and outside the bar area a Jacuzzi. A kitchen facing dining area with pantry and scullery with all appliances and fully stocked for self catering. We were so pleasantly surprise with the space and how comfortable it all was. Airconditioners in all areas. The place was spotless, thanks to friendly Elma. Our Boma and Braai were lit for us by Rocky who maintains the grounds and the beds were super comfy. Jacqui the manageress was so friendly and helpful and even pre-heated the oven for me so that I could put the potatoes to roast straight after the game drive. Riaan our game ranger was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We saw some amazing game, thank you. There is not a bad thing to report in fact the opposite. We will definitely be back!

We planned to go in July, but then lockdown happened ... Morokolo was kind enough to move our booking out to September without any extra charges. We were amazed by the spaciousness and peacefulness at Morokolo - exclusive use of the lodge was a massive plus factor for our group of two families. Special thanks to Riaan and Jacqui for looking after us! Game drives with Riaan are educational and enjoyable in equal doses. We even ventured into the "wilderness area" of the Pilansberg, which we have been curious to see for many years.

I did my best to get all the information about this place and make my booking but the person I called would never call back or rarely returned emails.I had to contact them constantly. The place is nice but over priced. Also, you cannot do a self drive. I guess because it is a private park.

Beautiful property with all the amenities needed.
Unfortunately the property is in need of some TLC.
Broken fridge, missing door keys, door to outside shower could not close, general wear and tear on furniture, pool floor broken etc.
I am sure Morokolo was superb in its prime 10 years ago but is currently overpriced for its current state.
We were disappointed that our game ranger would not take us into Pilansberg game reserve.
A liitle bit of extra service would go a long way in improving the experience.
Considering the price, we were expecting more.

Lovely stay at Molo Thaba, it's a great set-up - premises, and rooms in need of some maintenance and a good deep clean. While it's clear that the place is clean, there are areas that you could tell had not been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. House and rooms are also in need of some maintenance - doors, blinds, kitchen cupboards etc.

Every aspect of our trip here recently was absolutely amazing. Right from the minute we booked a few months ago the service was excellent. Accommodation was incredible, game drives with Riaan were amazing and service on site from Jacqui was unfaultable. We really didn't want to leave and will absolutely be going back!

We only had two nights in the Lodge, too short to fully enjoy what the Lodge has to offer.
The amenities of the executive suite exceeded our expectations. Our icing on the cake were the complimentary coffee beans and the electronic coffee grinder for our morning coffee!
Will be back!

Dear Morokolo Game Lodge Team,
We had 3 unforgettable days here at the resort. The scenery of landscape is breathtaking and the wildlife leaves you frozen with humility.
The lodge is beautifully situated and the houses are furnished with so much attention to detail. We didn't want for anything.
We thank Eddie for his thrilling safari trips. He loves what he does and you can feel the passion he has for this wildlife and landscape.
We also thank the staff for making us feel carefree and for always preparing everything for us with love.
With a lot of love, respect and humility in our hearts for the people and animals here, we leave this beautiful place today and will hopefully return someday.
Much love…
Ralf, René, Christian, Frank, Stefanie und Sandy

Answer from Jacqui DK
Pilanesberg, South Africa
Hi Chris You are correct that the meals are at the neighbouring lodge. Their kitchen is not open 24 hours a day so they would not be able to assist with midnight snacks however we can arrange a little takeaway from dinner which you could keep in your fridge in your room if that would be suitable?
Answer from Tammy W

Yes the safaris are included in the booking rate. There are two a day-one in the morning and one in the evening. We flew into Joburg and stayed the night. Then the lodge arranged (at our expense) car service from Joburg to the lodge which took about 3 hours if I remember correctly. I do not have one complaint about Morokolo lodge. They treated us like family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!
