Apart from the very high standard of the resort, the understated spa deserves far more recognition and attention. It is beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the treatment given to me by Lerato. I would go as far as to say it's the most beautiful spa I've been to, the attention to detail is remarkable. A must visit.

We visited Bakubung recently and generally had a good time. The rooms were nice, clean albeit a little small. The entertainment areas were nice and staff attentive and friendly. Fortunately for us we were there for the spit braai, the lamb was fantastic. The food was excellent, good bush food and quite traditional. The game drive was good, rangers are...

Stayed with my 2 and half year old son and 10 month old daughter. Buffets are great, and portions a la carte are huge and tasty. Staff very friendly and take pride in hotel. Room smelt of smoke and they were very quick to rectify and make us happy with alternate room. Kids loved the game drive, pool, jungle gym,...

We stayed at Bakubung for a weekend visit at Pilanesberg, and really enjoyed it. It's a bit more expensive than staying outside the park but staying in a Lodge is a very fascinating experience. The Lodge is in a high point inside the park meaning that you are overlooking the Pilanesberg from your room and from the restaurant and cafe....

This hotel and timeshare is very well kept and a wonderful relaxing experience. With a swimming pool (a bit cold) in a beatiful setting and excellent restaurant (although a bit $$$) and pub plus the bonus of regular visits from wild animals in the "horse shoe" there is no better place. We saw A beautiful Kudu herd and just love...

Just had a conference with my global Team this week, people from Australia, Finland, China, Chile, Brazil, India. What a wonderful time we had - great food, great service, good accommodation. They were of course also extremely happy to see the Big 5 on our game drives! Thanks Bakubung Team.

After the rain during the previous weeks the Pilanesberg Park is a feast of green bushes and full dams where relaxed game get what they need. In such an environment the self catering unit in which we stayed was perfectly clean and comfortable! The restaurant is well situated close to a hippo pool and the service and food high quality.

The game drives which should be the highlight were very disappointing. The first driver/guide drove past a hippo on the bank of the waterhole and the only animals we saw were ones that the guests saw and we had to yell at the driver to stop, with him sometimes continuing driving causing us to miss a sighting. The commentary was...

I have stayed at a few lodges before and this was very much a tourist driven one. The rooms were ok but nothing special. The cleaners just leave the doors wide open whilst they clean resulting in more moths in the room then in the bush. Food was good but by day three it was all repeated again. It was...

Lodge in general is good ! It's a family-friendly place with entertainment for the kids. Front Desk personnel is not efficient: provide me the wrong time for the game drive, had to call them 3 times to come and replace the fridge in my room that was not working and they made a mistake during the checkout and I had...
