The Nkala Lodge was absolutely superb with the most beautiful setting. A luxury bush experience like no other. We were stunned with our breathtaking accommodation. Natural materials and neutral tones were so attractive, creating sophisticated character to the lodge. A huge compliment to those who put it together. To anyone who would like to experience tranquility and see the big five, this is the lodge we would recommend. My wife and I have been to a few of these fully catered for lodges so we were sceptical about the fact that it was self-catering, but with good planning everything went well. We loved our weekend at Nkala - the staff are super friendly and helpful and the decor is exquisite. Our time on the deck at the watering hole soaking up the bush experience was hands down the best part. We’ll definitely be back.

The lodge was a short distance from SunCity - so close enough to head off on a long weekend. This place is bsolutely beautiful and decorated in modern yet warm and inviting way. There was everything in terms of kitchen appliances, toys, activities, and such awesome small details - Each bedroom suite is exquisite from the outside shower , to a very large lounge large, coffee station with a lovely view of the bush. The watering hole deck / lounge was a highlight for us. In 4 days we manage to see so much wildlife, 4 out of the 5 (BIG 5). The game drives were epic, and our kids loved them too. the lodge is very kid friendly which was a perk for us.

Nkala is a truly awesome experience. We booked the whole place, 5 couples, and stayed for 3 nights. 2 game drives a day were included and we could decide on the times. Ella the game ranger was awesome and very accommodating and very knowledgeable. The accommodation is seriously next level and the design and attention to detail is incredible. The advantage of having self catering means we could choose our own meals and meal times and as much alcohol as we liked. The staff were incredibly friendly and cleaned up after all our meals and made the rooms each day. It was like having a 5 star game lodge all to ourselves!! I would highly recommend Nkala lodge!
