My company recently used the lodge for a company breakaway to discuss our plans for 2019. The accomodation is amazing with large, individual, private bungalows allowing for time to spend alone if needed. The central building is perfect for easy interactions and enough space to comfortably discuss our future plans. The game drives (early morning and afternoon) was perfect and we saw 4 of the big five with lots of interesting facts learned about, trees, smaller animals and the general area and bush. We will definitely be back, and hopefully I can bring the family soon to enjoy which must be my favorite company getaway ever!
Seldom do you find a hidden gem and share, but this particular lodge is everything you could want and worth experiencing, it borders Pilanesburg but also has its own game farm which is a double win! Fantastic and amazing!
Beautifully decorated and well-presented place with every amenity, that is totally undersold! The website descriptions and photos do not do it justice. While you do have to bring your own food - this is not the usual self-catering place. The kitchen is stocked with every single cooking utensil, cutlery, crockery item you will need, including spices, and the large dining table is expertly set for breakfast and supper by quiet friendly staff daily. The pool is tiny but nice, and is cleaned daily. The outside showers are lovely! The huge TV in the main lodge is set on the watering-hole camera so that you do not miss a sighting. The watering-hole viewing deck has comfy couches, couches 2 hanging nest chairs, toilet and bar. The field guide is knowledgeable and laid-back. This is…

Nkala Safari lodge is a very accessible lodge in the Pilansbersberg. I went there with a group of girlfriends in September 2018. The rooms are beautifully done and luxurious. The lounge/dining room and outdoor areas are also stunning and classy. The kitchen is well appointed and there is a big fridge to stock up for your stay. There is a wonderful fire pit outside with chairs and lanterns around it for cosy evening drinks around a roaring fire. There is also a pool for cooling off in the hot summer months after a morning of game driving. The game viewing is spectacular and elephants abound! Especially at the watering hole which is in the lodge but behind an electric fence. You can sit and sip your G&T while watching Ellies just a stones throw away. Our guide, Elzabe, was very…
